Chapter 1: Prologue
Sometimes I wonder... Just what am I doing with my life?
People have told me that life is an adventure that we make, one that is shaped by our choices and goals. But they also told me that life is a series of unknown "variables", a line of unexpected and surprising meetings and situations. These "variables" can range from miracles to curses, from good to bad.
Considering all those factors, I realised something... I haven't done anything with my life. And right now, I am regretting that single fact.
Why... Haha... Just why am I like this...
Screams of pain invaded my ears.
I could not feel my legs and neither my right arm. An iron like taste swam across my tongue. Dust obscured my entire sight and debris clung tightly onto my body.
"It hurts..."
I exclaimed, and yet no one came to help me.
I am stuck under the heavy debris, crushed limbs seething with pain, and blood spilling everywhere.
I feel like I am nearing the end of my life.
"I... It hurts so much... Please... Someone... Help me..."
But no one came to help, no one heard my pleas.
And why would they? Could they even hear my plea? Of course not. Right now, everyone is focusing on their own tragedy, on their own pain, and their own survival.
Hahaha... This is where I'm going to die...
I began to feel light headed and cold.
I began to sense my immanent death.
I began to understand what regret is.
I really am I going to die, aren't I... Hahaha... Why, just why...? Why is this happening...?
A warm sensation trickled down my cheeks. My vision became blurry and my emotions swirled like a typhoon.
I don't want to die...! I haven't done anything in my entire life...! Mom, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry for being such an ungrateful child! You guys, I'm so sorry for being such a fake friend! I'm sorry! I really am! I-I want to make it up to you all...! I...
My consciousness slowly faded away, and my thoughts quickly began to dwindle.
I... Wish... I could... Ha... ve... Se... co... n... ed...
Before I could even finish that thought process, I had unfortunately succumbed to my injuries and severe blood loss.
I died under the debris of my school after a severe earthquake shook the city to its core.

(Wake up!)
"Ah!"
My eyelids shot open.
"...What...?"
A layer of green leafs adorned my sight. In between the gaps, light peeked through. And beyond all that, stood the vibrant blue sky.
I am currently lying down on the ground.
"What in the...?"
*Chirp**Chirp*
The breeze caressed my skin as the birds chirps invaded my ears.
"Huh? Where...? Where am I...?"
As that question slipped out of my lips, a certain memory flashed inside my head.
"H-Hold on...! D-Didn't I...!"
I could feel my heart drop as the memories quickly resurfaced.
"W-What...? Huh...? W-W-What's going on...?"
In a panicked state, I quickly rose up from the ground.
"Eh?"
But just as I did that, my sight fell onto a pair of small red hands with long sharp black nails.
"H-Huh?"
I froze for a moment.
Wait... These are... My hands!
I willingly moved them around and gazed at them in complete shock.
"W-Wait, does that mean?"
Immediately after, I turned my attention onto something else. That something is my own body.
"What the hell...? N-No way! What happened to my body?!"
What entered my sight is a red short seedy looking body.
I am also very much naked.
"No way?!"
I immediately began to touch my whole body in a panicked state.
I have a small and slim body, my skin is red, I am bald, and I have surprisingly sharp ears. But there is also something else...
"What in the world...? Wait, what are these?"
In a confused manner, I gently stroked two weirdly shaped protrusions on my head.
Out of sheer curiosity, I strongly pressed against the tip of these protrusions.
"Ouch! What the—! Sharp and pointy...! Are these... Horns?!"
Having deduced the unknown characteristic, my heart began to pound loudly.
W-What is going?! I don't understand!
My head swirled, several emotions rampaging within me. Fear, anxiety, stress, the whole shabang.
Just what is—?! No... I... I need to calm down... Calm down Lia...
Following my thoughts, I began doing breathing exercises in hopes of calming down.
Unsurprisingly, that worked well.
When I finally managed to relax a bit, things quickly sunk in. And to say the least, I am extremely overwhelmed by my situation.
I have horns... I have a different body... Hahaha...
"J-Just what in the world is going on? D-Did I get reincarnated or something?"
With a confused expression adorned on my face, I stared into the sky.
And then I remembered...
"O-Oh right... W-Where am I?"
I gazed at my surroundings with curiosity.
Trees strewn randomly, a river drawn like a destined path, and foliage decorating the ground.
The forest went as far as my eyes could see.
"Where the hel–"
"GRAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!"
"Hiiih!"
A strong wind crashed against my body as a beastly roar pierced my ears.
I instinctively closed my eyes and fell down on my ass. The force that collided with me was so strong that I couldn't really resist it.
What was that?!
I quickly opened my eyes and scanned my surroundings with a fearful look
Not a moment later, a shadow went across the whole forest. In that moment, I immediately moved my gaze into the sky.
"W-What?"
Something MASSIVE entered my sight.
Not a second later, it disappeared along with the gigantic shadow.
It was only for a mere moment, but I could tell that the thing that just flew right by me owned a pair of huge intimidating looking wings.
"...W-What w-was that...?"
I stood there flabbergasted, absolutely appalled by what I had just experienced.
I... I don't know what's going on anymore...
My brain got overloaded with too much information for it to process. I mean, who could even keep up with the current happenings? I sure couldn't.
"Seriously... Just what is going on?"
I fearfully stared into the sky as my lingering questions flew through the air.
