Chapter 15: The next day
[Back in the common room]
Harry- Rainy! Where did you go?
Ron- yeah! You just disappeared... we were worried
Rainy- well. Some things happened...
Then i told them what i saw on the mirror and that it triggered something inside my head. But i leaved out the details of the talk and battle with Odin.
Harry- then you saw your world?
Ron- you are from another world?
Rainy- it seems so... anyway i'm going back tomorrow. I want to learn more about that world.
Harry- i'll go with you, i also want to see my family.
Ron- i think you guys should stop going... Harry and i almost got caught on the way back, and i have a bad feeling.
Harry- don't worry about it. We won't get caught right?
Rainy- of course not! I'm really good at moving on curfew. Anyway i'm going to sleep, i've got a lot to think about...
Harry- sure bye.
I went to my trunk on the common room to sleep on the sleeping bag, and i remembered that i had to talk with Odin.
Rainy-(Odin. Are you there?)
Odin-(here i am.)
Rainy-(so... what was that about Guardian Forces?)
Odin-( i am a Guardian Force or GF. We are entities that lend our powers to those we deem worthy. I am a special GF as i'll not give you special junction abilities. I'll give you advice, teach you another Command on the C.S. and cut those i think you shouldn't face.)
Rainy-(well... with your strength it's reassuring. But what was that about junction? And another Command?)
Odin-(normally, the GF can be equipped inside your head by the junction system. Then depending on the GF strengths and weaknesses, you can equip magics to some physical and psicological stats of your own to enhance them. For example if it's a strong physical GF, you can equip a magic, for example fira! to the strength stat and get a permanent boost to strength until you take it off. But you can't use equipped magic. And the GF can also give you unique Commands. I've never given a command to anyone but seeing that even on a wizarding world you are using that rapier with skill, i'll teach you a standard one. It's name is Special)
Rainy-(that sounds amazing! I really look forward to befriend more GFs!)
Odin- (i'm afraid that will have to wait... there aren't any GF on this world. I came here with you, but the others should be on your world unless someone takes them here)
Rainy-(no problem. I will go there sooner or later hehe.)
The next day i was practicing what he said of junction and it was a gray screen with a lot of option floating on my mind. I grabbed the Special Command and the C.S. appeared in front of me. It had only four slots, so i took the item slot and changed it for the Special one.
Rainy-(so... right now i don't have anything on the Special Screen. Odin, how can i get this Special thing?)
Odin-(the Special Screen is for Special weapon techniques such as Quick Hit!, or Zantetsuken!. To learn them you have to see them, and to use them you have to use mana just like with magic!. i can teach you the last one... but i doubt you will be able to use it.)
Rainy-(then i'm stuck without junction and without Special until i go to my world no?)
Odin-(well... technically you should be able to learn new Special abilities by yourself if you create them, but it's difficult and you need a good training spot for that...)
Rainy-(ok, anyway i'm off to the mirror again. It won't trigger that mind talk again right?)
Odin-(no, it won't)
Rainy-(cool)
I went with harry to the mirror that night again and we stood there taking 5 min turns during an hour. But then we heard someone.
Albus- so... back again kids?
Harry- i, i didn't see you, sir.
Rainy- yeah, i like that trick.
Albus- well being the headmaster comes with some benefits. Anyway, you, like hundreds before you, have discovered the delights of the Mirror of Erised.
Harry- i didn't know it was called that. Sir.
Albus- but i expect you've realized by now what it does?
Rainy- it shows us what we desire the most. Right? Even if we don't know how it is.
Albus- not quite. Normally it should show the deepest, most desperate desire of our heart. But the mirror should not give knowledge nor truth. With you, it showed you those memories that we thought were erased. That means that they were there, but inaccessible to anyone.
Rainy- that makes sense.
Albus- but be aware. This mirror has driven a lot of men crazy. It will be moved to a new house tomorrow. So i ask you kids to not go looking for it again. It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.
Harry- ok, but can i ask you something?
Albus- you just have, but i'll allow another one.
Harry- what do you see on the mirror, sir?
Albus- i? I see myself holding a pair of thick, woolen socks
Rainy- hahahaha! Good one headmaster. Harry, that question is really personal...
Harry- oh! Sorry... i didn't thought of it that way...
Albus- don't worry. Now, why don't you put that admirable cloak back on and get off to bed?
Rainy- sure do! Let's go, Harry.
Harry- ok...
[On the way back]
Harry- why did you not tried to see the mirror more?
Rainy- because that mirror interested me for the knowledge it gave me. If Dumbledore says that it does not give knowledge nor truth, then it's useless.
Harry- and the feels? I saw you crying the first time you saw inside the mirror...
Rainy- the feels are on my heart, Harry. You don't need a mirror to desire your parents back as i don't need a mirror to want to come back to my world. The mirror just did the same job that a person that everyday is telling you ''Your parents loved you, your parents should be allowed to come back from the dead.'' i don't need a mirror to know that my world is more fitted for me than this one. To tell me that i can find my family there.
Harry- well... if you put it like that... it does seems like the mirror is useless.
Rainy- it is.
And with that we arrived to the common room. I went to my trunk and begun to deplete my mana before sleeping as always.
