Chapter 46: The Memory
When the flames disappeared, the basilisk fell on the floor dead, very dead. (not gonna say cadaverific, that's tfs thing) I was amazed by the display of power and I'm pretty sure Juny too.
Dumbledore- don't stay there all day. We need to help Miss Weasley.
Rainy- but how did you know where to find us?
Dumbledore- you have good friends Miss Lionheart. We'll talk about this later.
The three of us got closer to the figure that was close to Ginny and Dumbledore had a very grim look.
Dumbledore- Tom, what are you doing here?
Tom- Don't you see it? I'm trying to come back again feeding off the soul of this girl. But I can't believe that everything would go this wrong! You, girl from the other world! Why did you ally with that Gryffindor girl? If you had just left things could have gone better!
Juny- I don't take orders from an evil guy like you! And I'm leaving the Daijuroku! I'll get my money somewhere else.
Tom- tsk this guys... when my other self told me that he was giving me help from other world, I thought that this was my moment, but now everything is almost ruined!
Rainy- almost?
Tom- well, you brat, if you think you can do anything to me and stop the slow death of your friend... how was it? Err... Come and try?
Rainy- that type of phrases don't suit you, evil kid. What have you done to be this... hologram?
Tom- the correct term is memory, brat. And I died, thanks to a baby. Pretty sure you know the story by now.
Rainy- I don't mean that, Voldemort. I mean that now there are two of you arround the world? That's kind of weird. And bad for you.
Tom- I'll deal with that later on. The priority is that I'm not dead.
Rainy- well, I have a lot to ask you, but my friend is kind of suffering right now so...
I begun to walk to the diary, and when I was in front of it, I conjured my rapier and stabbed it but the rapier bounced off.
Rainy- what?
Tom- hahaha, did you really think that I would leave the diary without defenses? Even Dumbledore would have to sacrifice something if he wants to destroy it!
Dumbledore- and I would, gladly, Tom.
Tom- yeah, that's why I'm so angry to this otherworlders, that brought here the only one who can destroy the diary.
While they were still talking I went to the basilisk and took a fang. Then I made my way back to the diary.
Dumbledore-I think it's time to end thi- Miss Lionheart? What are you going to do?
Rainy- I've read all about basilisks this last few days.. did you know that their poison is not only poisonous but also corrosive? On one of the book I've read they joked about using basilisk venom to destroy the furniture you don't want anymore... but from what I've read, one thing is common and is the fact that there weren't any examples of something (outside of some goblin metal( resisting this corrosive venom.
Tom- stop... STOP!
Rainy- sorry, Tommy boy. It's time to sleep.
I used the fang coated on venom to stab the diary, and instantly it begun to melt with ink going out like blood. Tom begun to disappear and soon after that he exploded.
Dumbledore- brilliant, Miss Lionheart! Even I didn't thought of using the basilisk venom.
Rainy- haha, you would have if you were the last weeks reading only books about basilisks. Anyway, is Ginny alright?
Dumbledore- yes, she should be awake by now.
And like he said, she begun to wake up. So I kneel down on her side.
Rainy- Ginny! Are you alright? Something hurting you?
Ginny- ugh... who...? !! you are Rainy, one of my brother's friends! What are you...?
Then she saw all around her, and saw the dead basilisk, the diary destroyed and Dumbledore. And she froze with a shocked look for some seconds until the moment she begun to cry. She talked between sobs about what Tom Riddle made her do, about how she thought that everything was back to normal when she threw the diary, and about how a shadow kidnapped her and told her that she couldn't run from destiny. The weird thing is that she thought that she was going to be expelled and that was what made her not go to a professor.
Dumbledore- don't worry, Miss Weasley. Here in Hogwarts we won't expel you because of a weakness. Just remember that your friends are there for you. Here were you see her, Miss Lionheart would probably be dead by now if it wasn't for her friends.
Rainy- hey! I could have killed the basilisk by myself!
Dumbledore- without your GFs? Or you don't consider them friends?
Rainy- ... okay, you win this time...
Dumbledore- anyway, what I'm trying to say is that this won't happen again if you trust your friends Miss Weasley.
While Dumbledore was talking with Ginny I begun to talk with Juny.
Rainy- thanks for the help. What are you going to do now?
Juny- I'll quit the Daijuroku, and then I'll search for a job suited for a ninja like me!
Rainy- hmm... then, I would like to hire you.
Juny- what?
Rainy- stay here with me as a partner against the Daijuroku, I need all the help I can get. And I'll show you a world were you can get a lot of gold, and I'll even help you get money there.
Juny- Gold!? we have a deal! Yay! Gold! Wait... how I'll stay here if I'm not a student?
Rainy- well that's... I know! Headmaster!
Dumbledore- what is it?
Rainy- Can we let Juny here live on the castle while I'm studying here?
Dumbledore- and why is that?
Rainy- because I've just hired her to help me with the otherworlders problem, and I'm pretty sure she wont be able to use this world magic. So we can't just make her a student, can we?
Dumbledore- hmm... what is your age .....?
Juny- oh right. Presentations. I'm the great ninja Juny, I'm a ninja from Wutai on the World 7 and I'm nineteen years old
Rainy- what!? nineteen? But you look not much older than me!
Juny- I know I'm short! But that's not a topic I like!
Dumbledore- good, then... would you like to work on this castle as a provisional professor?
Juny- work? Is it paid well?
Rainy- wait, wait, wait. Headmaster! She doesn't know anything of this world or it's magic!
Dumbledore- but she does about other worlds and their magic. I would like to create another optional class for 3rd year forward students called Defense Against Other Worlds Arts.
Rainy- well not the most original name but it gives Juny a excuse to be here... do you want to do it?
Juny- it can be fun! Professor Juny! Haha, it sounds great!
Dumbledore- let's go back to the castle. I'm sure everyone is worried. I'll apparate us to the entrance of your training room Miss Lionheart.
The three of us grabbed on Dumbledore's arm and on the next moment, we were travelling like when between worlds but it ended on just two or three seconds. The only difference is that I couldn't breathe. I couldn't tell before but when we reached the hallway where the training room is situated, I saw that it was already lunch time. Dumbledore took Ginny to the hospital wing, but I could get out of it thanks to the knowledge he has about my healing magic. I used Cure! Because I had used the majority of my mana and went to the lunch. I was starving. Juny came with me because she also was starving. She hadn't eaten anything on the past 2 days.
