Chapter 104: Epilogue: Part One

Three months later

"What the hell is taking you so long?" I have not a moment to compose myself before my bedroom door flies open, my best friend all but trudging through the doorway with a deep scowl on her face. I catch her eyes in time to see them rolling over my half naked body, her chest rising and falling as she takes a heavy long breath.

Ignoring the tingling in my lower region, I slip into a robe to cover my nakedness, my bottom lip rolling into my mouth anxiously. Ayanda holds my gaze when I turn to look at her, her deep chocolate eyes almost glistening as they catch the afternoon light streaming in from the open windows. I don't realize I am holding my breathe until a tall figure bumps into her behind, wrapping his hairy arms around her small waist. For a reason I cannot fathom, my eyes dart away from the pair of them, my cheeks tinging with yet another inexplicable emotion as heat spreads down my neck.
