Chapter 6: The Taken

Niklaus woke up back in his cell in Blink's pack house.
"AAAUURGGHH!!" He was indignant, he never wanted to come back here except to kill the bastard that imprisoned him here in the first place.
"Is that my little wolf I head?" Blink walked into the cellar from the hall, an inauspicious grin across his face. "Did you really think that I'd just let you go? My little wolf"
"I knew you wouldn't, but I thought I might've lasted longer before being captured again."
"Aww, My poor Little Wolf." Blink was taunting him. "So tell me, Little Wolf, did you reunite with your family?" It was a rhetorical question, Blink already knew the answer.
"No, I didn't." Niklaus snarled
"Aw, why not? Didn't I give you enough time to find them? Or.. do you already know what happened?" Blink's grin got bigger, he was hoping Niklaus would give him a reason to beat him, not that Blink needed one.
"Yes, I know that they're dead. They were Massacred."
"But do you know WHO massacred them?" Blink's eyes were shining with the hope that Niklaus knew because it would be the best type of torture if he did.
"No, nobody knows who it was or how they managed to kill an entire pack of original wolves."
The shining in Blink's eyes disappeared and he grabbed Niklaus's collar through the bars, pulling Niklaus as close as possible, and whispered in his ear.
"I killed them, it was me and my men who desecrated an entire wolf species. All in vain, for the one we were looking for wasn't there."
A fire was growing in Niklaus's eyes, he wanted to kill Blink more than ever now but couldn't do anything with his arms and legs shackled not to mention the literal collar around his neck and only being at a quarter strength because his connection to Shade had disappeared.
"Ooh, I can see it in your eyes, you'd like to kill me but I'll let you in on a little secret! I found the one I was looking for when I killed your pack." Blink hinged out of view of the cell across from Niklaus.
"W-who is that?" Niklaus couldn't recognize them in the darkness of the cellar.
"You'll be happy to know, when you finally figure it out." Blink teased. "I'll give you a little hint, he was there when I took you all those years ago."
(Who could it be? Shit Shade, I really need you right now. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU SHADE!!!) Niklaus received no answer.
"There when I got taken, nobody was there. Just me and the six guys." He was whispering to himself as an image of that day popped into Niklaus's head. "My Brother!"
"Ding ding ding! Give the boy a round of applause." Blink teased. "To think that all I needed to do to find him was let you out of your cage."
"Out of my cage? What do you mean?" Niklaus was starting to notice that Blink kept saying he let him go, that meant he hadn't escaped but fallen straight for Blink's trap of once again tearing away his freedom.
"What do I mean? You haven't figured that part out yet? Don't tell me you really didn't recognize him when you met!" Blink was getting irritated. "YOUR BROTHER, NEIL! IT CAN'T BE THAT HARD TO PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER!!!" Blink was losing it, his other personality had taken over.
"You mean Neil, from The Red Vine Pack? He's-"
"YOUR BROTHER! YES, FINALLY!!" Blink smacked the guards card table, causing the stuff on it to topple over. "And thanks to my brilliant planning, I finally caught him. All thanks to the help from you!" Blink started out of the cellar, his cackling could be heard echoing through the empty chambers.
"NO!!" Niklaus jerked forward trying to attack Blink before he dropped to his knees, once again defeated, and tears started to stream down his face falling to the cement floor of his cell.
'I can't believe I was so close. I can't believe I lead them right to the only family I have left. I've let everyone down..' Niklaus wondered if Neil could hear the conversation he and Blink just had, he wondered if Neil knew or would even want to know and if he did know, would he want anything to do with Niklaus. All Niklaus could do was listen to the raspy breathing of his half dead brother and wonder how he had screwed up his life so far over shit mountain.

"DAD, PLEASE!" Harper slammed his hand on the study table. "WE NEED TO GO OVER THERE AND GET MY MATE BACK!!"
"NO, WE DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY DEFINITIVE PROOF THAT THEY HAVE NEIL AND NIKLAUS!"
"BUT DAD, WHO ELSE COULD IT BE. HOW OFTEN ARE WOLVES KIDNAPPED AND HELD FOR RANSOM!!"
"WE RECEIVED A BOX WITH SOME OF HIS BLOOD IN IT! THAT'S ALL, THERE WASN'T EVEN A RETURN ADDRESS!!" Harper was about to say something else but Atlas cut him off.
"END Of discussion!"
"But-"
"NO, I SAID END OF DISCUSSION!!"
Harper stormed out of the room slamming the door behind him.
(What am I going to do with him?) Atlas sighed to Kiba.
(Don't worry about Apollo, he's just worried for his mate. For now, we should go for a run and clear our head. Perhaps our mate will even come?)
(Of course, lets go.)

Harper was smart, he knew that if he just waited a few minutes for his father to leave that he could go back in and grab the map for The Adler Pack. He hurried to grab the map and ran to his room to ready for his long journey ahead. He packed plenty of jerky and water, and grabbed his climbing gear just in case the terrain was worse than said in the book. Harper reached the cliffs where he and Morgan had first met Niklaus and quickly unclothed in the bushes, he packed his clothing into his bag and changed to his wolf form. Apollo is a brindled gray fading down to his feet where he has plain gray socks and white toes, his tail has a black end and his eyes are a golden yellow, the color of a wolfs eyes that hasn't killed an innocent.
There are three main colors for a wolfs eyes, yellow/orange for wolves who haven't kill an innocent, blue/grey for wolves who have killed innocents, and red for Alphas and Lunas signifying their place in the pack.
Apollo headed off following the map and carrying his backpack in his mouth.
'Please be alive Neil, please. I'm coming for you!'

It's been three days since Blink told me that Neil is my brother and that it's my fault he's here. He's come down everyday to "teach me a lesson" all while Neil has stayed passed out in his cell, every now and then a guard will go in and check his pulse but other than that they don't bother with him too much. God I hope he'll make it! I also hope he doesn't wake up before I find a way out of here because then Blink and his men would do the same to him as they've done to me for years.
*Cough*
*Cough*
'Of course he wakes up now!' I hung my head and sighed, just my luck! One of the guards also heard him coughing and went over to the bars to check on him.
"Sir!" He called to Blink. "SIR!!"
"Yes, what is it!" Blink could be heard coming down to the cellar.
"He's awake."
"Ah, goood!" Blink seemed exited to have a new play thing.
Neil was still coughing, which could be seen physically bothering Blink.
"COULD YOU SHUT HIM UP! Get him some water or something I want him to be able to talk!" Blink definitely had his problems. The guard quickly ran out and came back with a cup of water, he opened the cell doors and tilted the cup for Neil to drink out of.

"Alright, that's enough. Let me talk to him!"
Blink shooed the guard out of the cell and Blink then entered it and lifted up Neil's head to face him.
"Do you know where you are? Littler Wolf?" Blink chuckled at his little nicknames he gave them. Neil spat in his face.
"Go..Go to hell!" Neil was weak, after being out cold for four nights. They did more damage to him than they did to Niklaus so he was out for three more days than Niklaus was. Blink wiped the loogie from his eye and in return spit back at Neil.
"I said, BOY, Do you know. Where. You. ARE?" Blink raised his right hand to Neil's face causing him to flinch slightly, expecting to be hit.
"No."
"Hmm." Blink smiled. "Good! Also good that you seem to learn quicker than your brother." Blink whispered the last part in Neil's ear.
(Brother? We don't have a brother.) Neil was confused, what brother?
(Who would he be talking about anyways?) Blue didn't have any answers.
"I don't have a brother!" Neil rose his voice slightly so even Niklaus could hear without his heightened senses, although Neil hadn't seen him there yet.
"Poor boy, I forgot. You don't have your memories." Blink feigned a sadness in his voice and clicked his tongue. "Tell me Boy, would you like to remember your past? Your.. Family?" Blink grinned at Neil hoping he'd get a reaction.
"You can't restore my memory anymore than I can." Neil spit the words at him trying to hide the curiosity in his voice.
"But I can."
"How?" Neil's curiosity was getting the best of him.
"I just need you and your brother.." Blink then moved out of the way and pointed to Niklaus. "To say a simple little incantation for me."
"DON'T DO IT NEIL! HELL WILL REIGN ON EARTH!!" Niklaus was yelling from his cell before a guard reached through and hit him across the face. Niklaus spit blood as he tried to warn Neil again.
(Blue, what do I do?)
(There's only one way I'll know if he's really our brother.)
(What is it?)
(I need him to transform into his wolf..)
Neil groaned, how was he going to reach Niklaus's wolf to force a shift, if even Niklaus couldn't reach his wolf?
