Chapter 163: 6-16

A large wave of dark, dense liquid surged from the ground, submerging a dozen monsters that appeared to be a sort of feline species, but with bird heads, covered in short dark fur with yellow patches, and with long, sharp yellow beaks. The monsters flapped their paws, trying to get out, but the dense liquid stuck to their limbs, hindering their movements and slowing them down.

"Xie Juyan, now!"

Yu Qingyu kicked off of a tree and spun in the air, sending a handful of his ice needles down. The needles flew through the air with a swish and pierced into the liquid's surface. Instead of sinking in though, they remained stuck at the top, as a layer of ice quickly spread in every direction from each of them, freezing the dark liquid and effectively trapping the monsters in.

"Nice!"

Tang Anning jumped forward, stabbing his spear into the nearest monster's head.
