The banquet thrown to welcome the delegation wasn't planned to be anything grand - at least for someone of Duke Legrand's status - but it was still enough to fill the normally quiet mansion with life, when the guests started arriving the next afternoon. All local nobles were invited, and almost all of them accepted. It was such a rare occasion, after all! Duke Legrand usually only threw parties for the vampires, which the human nobles were not even aware of, and they didn't dare to visit the mansion uninvited, so they gladly took this opportunity to see the mysterious Duke and his residence.
