"Princess Helene," a young boy whined at the door, whilst a tall, Amazonian-looking woman walked right up to me at the balcony doors.
"Good morning," I enunciated slowly in English, hoping she spoke it also.
The look on her face made me wish I'd welcome the morning in the same oblivious state I had ended the previous day.
"What witchcraft did you use to trick my brother into making you his mate?"She spoke in English whilst her eyes narrowed at the black mark of a snake on my pale, almost translucent skin.
I shrugged, "ask him? I'm also unwilling okay!"
I was not lying, he'd practically dragged me home to be his bride like the dumb neanderthal he was.
What right did she have to be so angry at me?
She scoffed, then turned to storm out of the room.

To elaborate on my thinking behind writing this chapter, I'll share my thoughts...
Damian and Luna's relationship is forced, with dubious consent.
Just because she does not actively lash out, say her refusal, or fight back, does not mean she is willing. She is just seeking to save her strength and get through to the next day.
It's toxic and not healthy, no matter if Damian has his sweet moments...
Luna's thought patterns have abruptly changed after her most recent death. Though she was the one who died, to her it was like Izzy, her child, had died and left her all alone. And that is a pain so complex, it's hard for me to write.
I hope I do a good enough job to thoroughly share her psyche and have you understand and empathize with her actions.
If you are reading this for the second time after 23rd January 2023, you'll notice the slight differences in her behavior/words from it, but not the storyline.
I am rewriting it like this to clearly emphasize her as being swept away like a drowning person in turbulent waves.
