Chapter 59: Chapter 4.7 : Morning

Waking up, Fang Xing dressed himself and found his mother downstairs waiting for him, which was old as she doesn't normally stay long for a visit, but he was happy to see her.
"Good Morning Xiao Xing, did you get enough sleep?" Grandpa Fang asked while bringing the breakfast. The food was always prepared by Grandpa Fang as they are wealthy enough to eat solid food, and that he liked cooking, even though his hands are injured, simple breakfast is okay for him.
"Good Morn-ing, Grandpa." Fang Xing said softly, as he sat down, he looked at the plate. As confused as he was at the food. Fang Xing didn't say a single thing at it as in the original's memory, it's a normal breakfast.
I think it was supposed to be bread, egg and veggies but as normal as the bread looks, it's green and a bit toasted. The egg was very big so he got a quarter of it. The veggies… are mixed with a fruit with it. Taking a closer look. Fang Xing took his fork and turned over one of the veggies. It was a potato, that is… not fully cooked. Carrots that still tasted bad.
Fang Xing took a bite of the bread with the egg… tasted fine, it's bland but edible.
Fang Rong, who finished her food, looked at her son who was ignoring the vegetables and frowned. "Xiao Xing, you gotta eat the veggies too. It's good for you."
Fang Xing didn't say anything and poke the carrots. Turn to look at her not directly at her eyes but below it, at her nose. He slowly said, "I don't like it."
"Grandpa Made it for you to eat, come on, take a bite." Fang Rong noticed that her son was nervous and so she turned down her tone.
"...." if he did, he would possibility puke it out, it seems like the chef skill had highlighted his sense of taste, he would bear with the bland taste of the egg but the veggies… he couldn't say he wouldn't choke on it by trying to forcely swallowing it…but as Fang Xing, he couldn't not eat it. After all, it's his everyday breakfast and it was his grandpa that made it for him.
"...I…I" Fang Xing stuttered grabbing his shirt, it looked like he would cry, but not letting the tears drip down.
Grandpa Fang quickly came to the rescue, "A' Ring, it's okay for Xiao Xing not wanting to eat vegetables once in a while, he always ate his veggies before. You don't have to force him to eat it. I know Xiao Xing is a good boy who eats his veggies. Isn't it right Xiao Xing?" When everyone finished eating, Fang Rong placed down her chopsticks and cleaned up the table before anyone could do anything. Normally it's Grandpa fang and Fang Xing taking turns, so when she suddenly inserted herself it felt quite odd for them. But not in a bad way.

"Xiao Xing, do you have anything you want to do today? It'll take about four days to get you to re-register. So mom thought about taking you out to play after another examination." Fang Rong said as she sat next to her son who was playing a game on the light brain kid-game system.
Fang Xing didn't really like going out, he didn't like the stares and didn't like people. "...Can I stay at home mother?"
"Huh? Don't you want to go outside to play with mommy?" Fang Rong asked, and she researched that kids like going outside to play. So she didn't understand why her son was different. Is it because he didn't want to spend time with her? After all, she wasn't there most of the time, it's understandable if he didn't like her.
"No, don't like outside." Fang Xing said as he stopped playing.
"Why don't you like the outside?" she asked, but this time he didn't answer, his face scrunched up and stood up from the sofa and ran away.
"Okay…" Fang Rong sighed, she didn't get an answer from him. So she thought about playing at home instead of going out since he hated the idea so much.

"Ah… It's Xiao Xing ah. They're introducing a new ingredient and are going to show you how to cook it." he said with a kind smile. Picking up his grandson from his feet to his laps he lowered the screen so he could see it too.
It was a live video, an old man was showing nuts, there were only three on the table but why does everyone seem so excited about this?
He boiled the nuts in all different small pots and set a timer for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Isn't that a bit too long for these kinds not nuts? Hell, he also forgot to add salt. Then he took them out and dried them then proceeded to try them. The old man smiled and said that is the way to prepare raw nuts. … While it is so, maybe the nuts mutated but still, it looks too soft and high temperatures can facilitate lipid oxidation and nonenzymatic browning reactions, which means it can reduce the nutritional value of most food and that includes nuts. I also wasn't here at the start of the video so I didn't know if he soaked the nuts or not. This can cause a stomachache….
Fang Xing looked up at his grandpa being excited about it… oh dear
