"What did you say?!" I yelled out loud in the direction the voice came from.

"Yeshh, I'm not a midget; I'm just small," the midget retorted in a timid tone.

'Wait a minute, you're not just short; you're really, really short!' I thought as I returned my gaze to the midget.

"Pff...!" The guy chuckled before he walked forward, revealing himself.

As the guy showed himself, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pity for him. 

Although that man appeared to be quite healthy, his appearance was disheveled.

He wore a black, worn-out robe with a ragged gray sweater underneath it, and his pants were ripped. It was a pitiful sight to see.

"OHHH~ Look at this couple of midgets, holding hands and trying to protect each other. How sweet," the guy mocked with a smug expression on his face.

"W-w-what are you t-talking about!?" the midget stuttered, becoming flustered as she defended herself.
