Chapter 29: Bloodbath of the Red-eye Angel (Part Two)

*This chapter contains blood and violence that may not be suitable for others. You have been warned.*

Angel looked at the bodies of the men she had killed on the main floor of the house.

All of their necks were slit open from ear to ear. Blood poured from their open wound.

It was a gruesome scene.

Angel had pulled their heads far back that each cut was so severe all the major arteries were damaged.

How Angel managed to do those things was beyond her. It was like killing was a natural thing to do.

The light pink sleep dress she wore had slowly become crimson. Absorbing the blood of her victims. When she passed by a mirror she grimaced. Her face had some blood on it too.

Angel shrugged and stepped over the dead bodies. Her face was devoid of any emotions.

She examined the gun she had taken from one of the men. Whoever designed the dispenser of the tranq must love guns.

He was able to modify a .45 caliber gun to accommodate six darts on one clip. Even the darts had been designed to look like bullets.

Angel felt happy and ecstatic. She had only heard about the guns from her daddy. They were unable to procure a prototype of the said gun. He would be...

Angel stopped, and whispered, "Daddy..."

She could remember the last words the man had said, but she could not remember his name, nor his whole face. Even the men she called brothers, were faceless.

It was frustrating as hell.

She was about to wash her face, but one of the men's comm links suddenly activated.

"D-Three to D-One. Do you have visuals?"

Silence.

"I repeat, do you have visuals?"

Angel walked to the active comm link and listened.

"Damnint! We need to move. Something must have happened to Mark and his team. Come on, guys,"

Angel could assume that the person she heard was the team leader of the D-Three. The man was frustrated, in the background though, she could hear other people as well.

"Give the man a break, T. This is his first mission."

"Shut the fuck up!"

"Yo, man chill," another person in the Rec room was talking. "We got paid, right? And maybe they found the chicks living here. They must be having a good time..."

Angel could only shake her head.

Men.

No matter what race, they would usually use the head between their legs rather than the one on their heads.

She dropped the comm link, and one of the blades, and made her way to the Rec room.

She passed by the first body she killed. Blood had stopped flowing, and the carpet was already sticky. There was a squishy sound when she stepped on the blood soak part.

"I wonder what Pyr would do..." she murmured.

The hallway was empty. The men would either be in the Rec room or the Media room. She silently checked if they tried to open the guest room located on the same floor.

She grinned.

The bedroom was unlocked and they did not even bother to check it.

Angel went inside, not bothering to open the light. She threw the bed covers and gilded her finger to the edge of one of the tactical katanas that were hidden underneath the blanket.

When her finger reached the pommel of one, she grabbed it, walked out of the room, and softly closed the door behind her.

She unsheathed the katana and gave a practiced swing. The balance of the blade and its handle were good.

Angel smiled.

Movement in her right peripheral vision caused her to throw the combat blade dead center to the man's heart. He was too shocked to react.

Before he could alert the others, Angel was upon him.

She jumped on his staggering body.

They fell and she quickly rotated the knife, creating a hole in the place where his heart was located.

Blood gushed from the hole, and the man died instantly. Angel stood up and went to the room he came from with the tranq gun raised, shooting them one by one.

They never had a chance to fight back. The chemical composition of the tranq they were carrying caused their nervous system to quickly shut down.

Angel was not satisfied. She still slashed their necks wide open causing massive blood loss. In no time at all, the Media room had good pools of blood from the four men she had killed.

Next was the Rec room.

Something was wrong.

It had been 30 minutes since three teams were sent to retrieve the subject. It should not be that hard to get that damn 'thing'.

The silence of the night was broken when one of the men inside the house came out running, waving his arms to call out for their attention.

"RUN!" he said before a blade found its way buried at the back of his neck.

He fell face down, blood began to spread across the grass. The handle of the knife was visible.

As if the gods deem them worthy, there was a break in the brewing stormy skies. Moonlight streamed to the ground as the men gawked at the scene before them.

A woman with an ethereal glow about her stepped out of the opening they had created to get inside the house. Her shoulder-length looked like they were dancing behind her as the wind suddenly picked up.

Her nightdress was blood-stained. Fresh blood was also dripping from the tip of the Katana she was holding in her right hand. Almost every inch of her body was covered in blood.

Her steps were slow and measured, it was as if she was assessing her surroundings. The way she effortlessly dislodged the combat knife for the man she had just killed, spoke of an experience that none of them had.

Thunder rumbled across the land, as a flash of lightning streaked down, striking the ground behind the woman who was slowly walking towards the remaining group of men.

The leader of the group could only shake in fear as the moon was once covered with clouds. There was a bright flash and the most frightening thing he had seen was right before him, as the heavens opened up and began to weep.

A pair of glowing red eyes looked at them. And the grin he saw when the sky lit once more made him question their mission.

He fired a warning shot. The woman halted and looked at him. She then asked, "Are you their commanding officer?"

Her voice sounded husky, seductive, and clear, yet the cold way she uttered the words was giving him mixed signals.

"Yes, I am," he replied. "And who are you? Are you that man's mistress?"

"How very male of you to assume that I am Pyr's mistress just because I stepped out of the house," he heard the woman replied. Despite the heaviness of the downpour, her voice was still clear.

"If you are not his mistress, then who the fuck are you? Are you the one responsible for the deaths of the four teams inside?"

"What do you think?"

"I think you are just a worthless piece of flesh, and when he gets tired of you..." the leader was not able to finish his statement. Because when then the sky lit up again, the woman was right in front of him.

Startled, he fired two consecutive shots using the gun that was given to them. They both looked at the small bullet-like dart that was pinned on her chest.

She reeled a few steps back, but she remained upright. He did not miss the opportunity to grab the katana and combat knife and slowly backed away.

They all waited for her to drop dead. The two doses of the tranq were not designed for humans.

They had an unfortunate accident four months ago, so all of them had learned their lesson.

The woman clutched her head and swayed a bit.

In the midst of the sudden downpour and the constant crackle and rumble of the sky, an ear-piercing cry echoed in the land.

The men looked around searching for the source of the sound.

Their leader, on the other hand, did not take his attention from the woman he shot. He changed his gun when she stopped swaying and was only massaging her neck as if nothing had happened.

"You guys are nuts," she said.

"Stay back," he replied and raised his gun.

"Ah, finally a normal gun," she said in relief.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" he said in disbelief.

"Oh, nothing is wrong with me. I should be the one asking that question." She stopped swaying and was standing upright again.

Even with the rain pouring buckets over them, her voice sounded loud and clear, after being shot twice by WN35.

The leader simply cannot comprehend why she was still alive. He had seen a man die, with just one full dose of that WN35, but her?

Angel cursed when she noticed her weapons were taken away.

The leader's eyes suddenly dropped to her chest as his vision that was obstructed by the weapons got cleared.

'No wonder that man had her as a mistress. Those lush tits of hers were so big and so soft, and man those thighs of hers would be good around my waist.'

He thought as his initial fear was gone. Replaced by an overwhelming need to punish the woman who killed his men.

Yet, the punishment he had would be pleasurable to him and his remaining men.

He raised his hand, a signal to fire.

And all the remaining men followed his silent command, waiting…

Like a movie being played in slow motion, the leader lowered his hand, and the men fired their tranq gun.

WN35 darts flew.

The darts never reached Angel.

A serpent-like creature came out of nowhere. Its golden scales shimmered as they coiled around Angel protecting her from the darts.

When the men ran out of darts, the beast slowly moved, as it prepared to face them.

The leader shouted, "Use normal guns!"

However, his men could only stare at the beast as the said creature faced them.

None of them were able to move as they saw it open its mouth and after a while, blue flames started to form.

They were too late to realize the significance of its action.

Despite the heaviness of the rain, the fierce blow of the wind, inhuman sounds echoed.

Thea, who was still guarding the children, grinned.

The men stood no chance of surviving Jin's attack. White-blue flames came out of his mouth, burning the tangos that invaded their home.

She was far from the second floor of the house, yet she could feel the heat of his flames. The smell of roasted flesh was washed away by the heavy rain.

Jin did not stop his fire until he was satisfied the men were nothing more than blacked remains. Thea knew that Jin for a long time, but she had never seen this side of him.

Ruthless.

Unmerciful.

Deadly.

This was the Jin the world had feared. The myths she had heard. The stories passed down about a golden dragon with yellow and blue eyes.

This was the true Jin.
