Chapter 1: Prolouge: Fall of Magus
Five versus one. A battle that should be one sided ended up in a deadlock.
As an Archer released an arrow that splits into hundreds of lightning fragments [Storm Sharpnel] together with red robed Mage who a cast the spell [Lightning Rod] that created a giant metal spear impaling towards its target together with lightning bolts coming from above.
These attacks are heading towards a white robed Mage who was depending against the attacks of Dual Blade Master and Templar with barrier of runic spell circles.
Before the attacks could hit, a magic circle appeared below their target and the man disappeared, and another magic materialize a short distance away from them and the white robed man appeared in there. [Blink].
At the same time with a wave of a hand two huge magic circle formed above facing the four them, releasing a barrage of ice spears. [Dual Cast: Blizzard].
While doing so another spell circle was conjured in his hands and spear made solid mana was created and use it to parry a spear strike coming from his back. [Conjured Weapon: Spear] [Spear Technique: Flick(Advance)]
The battle continued as ice, flame, lightning, earth, wind, and light elements together with blade, sword, spear, and archery skills are used and clashed with one another. Creating chaos destruction in their surroundings as if a combination natural disaster occured.
Even there are five of them, they couldn't even injured or scratched the white Mage as he answered them with equal strenght and power to halt their attacks.
"Why are you holding back!!!" Shouted by a woman elven Archer.
" You already reach the level of a Magus, you can kill us if you use your full ability." Said by the Spearmaster.
"You knew very well why, after all there is no one else knew me better than you guys."
The white Mage replied with complicated expression towards them.
They suddenly paused the battle for a moment.
They look at each other with an unwilling expression.
"Please don't hold back, if you can please slay all of us. It is our carelessness that we all came to this kind of situation." Cried by the red Mage.
"I beg you my friend, it will be hard for us to accept that you held back in order to let us kill you for our sake. We would rather be killed as a result of our betrayal to you." Pleaded by the Templar.
The white Mage look at each and everyone of them and sighed.
"Alright. I will use my strongest spell... but you will also not hold back with your attacks." he said grimly.
With a nod of approval from the five of them, the white Mage cast a hand seal and a green spell circle appeared and the mana in surroundings immidiately gathered increasing the size of the spell circle.
Seeing the unfamiliar magic that has never been casted by their old friend the five of them sighed in relief before changing in a serious expression, and each of them prepared thier strongest move.
The Archer drew her bow pointing at the sky as arrow made of light materialized.
The red Mage cast her own magic as red magic circles appered one after another in her staff.
The Dual BladeMaster raised his arms crossing his two blades behind his back.
The Templar smack his one-handed sword toward his shield and it shattered, the fragments of the shield turned into light particles and fused with his sword.
The Spearmaster positioned her spear in a thrusting attack as an energy spun around its tip.
The white mage saw that they are already prepared begun his move and pushed the spell circle forward voice out it out,
[Chronos Magic...]
As they heard those words the five of them release their attacks respectively.
[Heavens Arrow]
The arrow is shot toward the sky and vanished before appearing again with gigantic size heading towards its target.
[Sun's Whiskers]
A pillar of fire descended from the sun itself.
[Grand Cross]
An energy blade released from dual blades creating an X that grew bigger as it approach the intending target.
[Sword of Desparation]
An illusion of a sword that held by an avatar appeared and made a hacking strike.
[Spear of Annialation]
A powerful burst of energy exploded from the spear tip as it made a piercing motion.
The white Mage contnued his words.
[...Time Leap]
A powerful magic quickly covered each of thier attacks. Then the attack that should have reached the white Mage after a quarter a second has already land on his body and destroyed it into dust.
This shocked the five of them and they couldn't move for a long time.
"You idiot!!!" Shouted by the Arhcer.
"Why..?"
"He must have guessed what happened.." Said the spearmaster.
" Yeah, even though he is extremely proud of how of a genius and smart he is, its still true." Remarked the Templar.
"The Absolute Authority of the king may be powerful but it also has restrcitions. Once the command is fullfilled he cannot harm us or our relatives. It can only be used thrice, it was already used in the past and the king used it to us a second time." the red Mage commented.
"So to ensure his safety the king will surely use the last one to protect himself from our retaliation."
The five of them look at the spot where the white Mage turned to dust from their attacks.
Just like that, the only man who become a Magus after a thousand years of history died.
