Authors note: hey guys, merry Christmas. So sorry about the delay in posts this week. I've been truly truly sick and only now do I feel better enough to try this writing thing. Not going to be my longest chapter as I get back into the groove of things. But we'll begin the answers and pack building arc now.
Btw, when we come back to the 'plot' it'll be right before the originals leave for Nola. Sorry not sorry. I've been wanting to write the originals story with this concept for so long that I physically cannot continue to watch and write about tvd when I know a better show is lurking behind it.
In fact, the only reason I'm going back is to plant the seeds for the eventual Bonnie and Zach pairing.

The trip has been arduous. But I'm finally here. I can feel it in the Forrest around me. The subtle hum of magic that seems to beat in rhythm with my own heart. I make my way into the Forrest at a leisurely pace.
I've spent this long trying to get here, a few more minutes won't hurt anyone.
Over this time my grasp on my abilities have become second nature. I realized that in order to rapidly achieve what I want, unknown situations are the best.
Being in places I don't know who is what has made me rely more on those senses than my knowledge of what's happening in my immediate surroundings as well as the key players within it.
I even drank vampire blood. And boy, let me tell you that was a rush.
Flashback
I've known this girl was a vampire all night. She was truly beautiful. Dark hair and eyes. But her scent was clouded by the stench of death. A lot of it.
I've learned such things give me an estimate on how old a vampire is. This one is 500 plus easily by the way my senses are reacting.
A short make out session leads us to her car in the parking lot. A clever trick I suppose. She's gorgeous and any man would want to follow her back where ever she led them. Unfortunately for this mocha beauty, I didn't fall for it.
Stopping her oncoming teeth I suddenly get angry. Vampires always bite. I decided to give her some of her own medicine. "My turn." I say turning my eyes on while my teeth begin to lengthen and sharpen.
In an instant i bite into her neck just as she was about to do to me. I had just wanted to hear a vampire react to my venom.
True to form, when I pulled away I saw an amazing sight. Deep green veins appear all around the wound and the women screams out in pain.
I had another problem though. The blood on my tongue tasted good. Really good. Before I knew it I'd bitten back onto her neck and drank.
What I later found out was that while drinking vampire blood my eyes begin to glow so brightly with red it begins to overtake the white parts of my eyes. I felt powerful after drinking the vampire dry.
(An: this will be the same thing as him killing a pack member. 'Power augmentation ' plus he's a wolf. So drinking vampire blood is kinda cool in my opinion. His pack will have the signature of doing this. This will be the reason for the blue eyes.)
Flashback end
That was a surprise. Drinking the vampires blood had been a euphoric experience. I myself was not good around blood in my previous life. I don't know why. I simply didn't like it.
I had carried that over to now until I'd tasted that sweet liquid by accident. It was awesome. The taste and especially the feeling after. I'd always been stronger than normal. Hell, only Elijah bested me.
But after drinking vampire blood I went into a completely different league. For comparison it'd be like a defensive lineman at the beginning of the season being able to run a 5.0 40 yard dash. Then, at the beginning of the next season he can run a 4.0. It's a new world entirely.
So I'd gone out of my way to consume any vampire blood I could. None of them lived. Vampires are immortal after all. That's a long time to hold a grudge. I made extra sure by ripping their heart out as well, no need for them to have any shot at coming back to bite me in the ass.
All of that lead me to this. A state park somewhere along the vast chain that is the Rocky Mountains. I come upon a spot that feels denser than everywhere else. It also feels familiar. As I step into a clearing I'm hit with a vision of sorts. I can't exactly say what was happening. The images moved too fast.
All I know is there were people looking at me with red eyes. Like mine. I didn't feel Especially scared though. They seemed comforting. When I come back to the real world I'm kneeling in the clearing. I see a cave at the back of the clearing and make my way inside.
Much like the Lockwood Dungeon I see deep scratches on the wall that make the ones from Mystic Falls look like puppies. I run my hand down it and am hit with another quick vision. This time I catch a word. Primordial.
When I come back to the world again I'm in front of a wall. Upon it are etchings. They're so fadded that I can't really see them. My eyes even straining can't make out what's happening. I take pictures on my phone and pat the wall.
No need to stand out here in the cold with no real direction. If I find something in the pictures I can come back. My body feels like it'll always remember this place.
I put such thoughts behind me as I exit the cave and see much more time has passed then I thought. It's dark.
I sigh, the breath visible in the night air. With a smile I blur into the Forrest toward my bike. I need a drink.
I've grown my beard out along with my hair while on the road. It makes me look a bit older. So much so that nobody has carded me since I got the beard. I make my way into the bar to a tense atmosphere.
While I briefly wonder why, I don't care much. I don't smell any vampire in here so everything else is fine.
I sit at the bar and am about to ask the bartender to grab me some bourbon when I hear the reason for the atmosphere in the bar. A big lumbering voice yells, "tell your bitch to shut up before I do it."
While I would usually mind my business hearing someone speak to a women like that I always hard to hear. So I slowly get up, grabbing a bottle from right under the counter as I turn the corner of the bar to see a guy easily 6'6 with two friends each about 6'2 on each side of him in front of a group of 2 dudes and one girl.
One of them had black hair while the other guy had blonde hair. The younger blonde hair dude seemed to be the one the big guy was talking to. He speaks in defense of his girlfriend. "She said what everyone else won't." He shrugged. A cocky attitude that would piss anyone off. Much less a drunk idiot looking for a fight.
Under my enhanced perception I saw the big guy take the smaller out of his seat and into the floor to start the beat down.
I moved at human speed. I'm not a vampire. I can't compel everyone in here to not remember me blurring around. So I move to the guys buddy who's about to jump in and smash the bottle over his head, bringing him down like a sack of potatoes.
As I revel in my fun of smashing a bottle over someone's head in a bar fight I hear a gasp followed by the smell of blood. I turn to see the older dark hair guy that was with the girl and girl and blonde guy grabbing his stomach as the second goon holds a fairly large knife.
I quickly break his hand with my grip and punch him so hard I know I killed him. But so what. He was a coward. I turn back to the big guy and stomp his back. I hear his ribs crack as he wheezes on top of the small guy.
I roll him off and pick up the slightly injured cocky kid while turning to the girl who's holding up their friend. "Give him to me." I say picking the guy up and taking him outside.
'He's loosing too much blood too quickly,' I think.
"Where's the car?" I say.
They blink the lights with the keys and I rush over. As we settle into the back seat I speak to them while the girl frantically drives to the hospital. "Listen. I can try something. But you have to promise me you won't tell what you saw," I say.
"What do you mean?" Asks the terrified girl locking eyes with me in the rear view mirror.
"He won't make it to the hospital."
"But-" the guy began but I cut him off.
"I can try something. It might not work. But he will die if we try to take him to the hospital. It's a 30 minute drive. He won't make it. But I have somebting that may help. May not. But what choice do you have?" I ask. This was an opportunity to get some answers.
The two lock eyes while pulling over. Before the guy in the passenger seat speaks. "Fine."
With that my bright red eyes shine in the darkness of the car while I bite the guy who's close to bleeding out. "Let's go to your house." I say when I hear his heartbeat stableize. Unlike the vampire who was bitten, a glowing blue vein structure surrounded the bite pulsing.
I could see questions in the eyes of the two in the front seat. But I had no time for that. "Matter of fact. Let's leave town. The guy who stabbed him is dead. And we're all caught up in that. Better to disappear." I say with my red eyes burning still. Can't have these two thinking this was a suggestion.
I get a shakey nod in return from them both while we make our way down the highway toward the interstate.
'If this works it could change everything.' I think to myself staring out the window of the road while trying to imagine what it would mean if I can turn humans into wolves.

Authors note: not the longest chapter I know. But it's what I've got right now. I said I'd get it out today and I have. Bear with me. I always get sick this time of year. Should be right as rain in a few days. Appreciate the continued interaction and support guys.
Have a good day.
