Shane didn't expect that Dirk would simply give up after he had enshrouded and forcefully inserted his bloodlust-killing-intent into him.

This was something Shane had never done before, but from what he could tell, it seemed to increase his opponent's fear and decrease his will to fight drastically.

'It's probably intensified the trace of fear and doubts that I have already instilled in Dirk!' 

Other than that solution, he was not sure what else it could be. Thus, the moment the spar had ended, Shane retracted his mana and the bloodlust-killing intent.

His demeanor had changed once again, and the spectators couldn't help but gulp as Ivan Ser exclaimed,

"I guess this will be even more interesting than I thought!"

Shane helped up Dirk, who was looking at him in confusion and fear. Not quite believing his eyes, Dirk asked him hesitantly,

"Was that a skill targeting my mentality...or your real strength?"
