Chapter 126: Detective

General Roland shook his head, unable to believe he'd lost control of his emotions—especially in front of his men, something no general should ever do. As a leader, he couldn't afford to let it happen again.

He heard footsteps approaching and looked up to see George, Akshar, and Peyton walking together across the battlefield. 

Roland frowned, recognizing them from earlier but having been too busy to intervene. "Hey! You kids aren't supposed to be here!" he barked. "You may think you're heroes, but you're lucky you're not dead. Far more skilled men than the three of you combined perished in this battle. Coming here was reckless. Who sent you?"

George stepped forward, speaking carefully. "I understand, General. We didn't come here on our own. We were sent—and with protections. Michael ordered us here."
