Chapter 61: Racing against time to save Eloise
Waylen's POV
Eloise's voice quivered as tears ran down her cheeks. It was difficult to watch and so, I turned away.
Cowardly of me, you would think but it was mercy. Wolves were proud creatures, if I ever lose control of my mind, I would hope people near me would have the decency to look away.
" My little girl…no! No! I forgot what I am supposed to tell you…"
(she blinked to gather her mind) Eloise had more to tell her daughter.
"Emily, Be your own person but don't be an island. Be someone that can look in the mirror and not regret what looks back at you.
Be someone the next person can depend on. Be selfless but don't let it be an excuse for stupidity and finally, Emily heed my most important lesson, do not throw away miracles in a blanket"
I didn't understand what the expression meant.
