Jian Chen dreamed that he was being chased by a creature with wings. The creature was covered in blue scales and had two sharp horns on its head. Suddenly, the world around him changed and the city he belonged to became nothing but ruins. Roaring and crunching could be heard everywhere, and he ran endlessly to escape the creature.

The sign in the Emergency Room lit up, turning green. The tightly closed door slowly began to open.
A woman dressed in a white coat emerged first. She removed her face mask and wiped the sweat from her forehead.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared in front of her, causing her to startle. She heard an elf-like voice filled with worry.
"Doctor, how is my brother?" Jiang Yan asked.
"Doctor, have you managed to cure my boyfriend?" Another gentle voice with an air of superiority echoed.
"Are you the patient's family?" Dr. Su smiled.
"Don't worry, we managed to save him from the brink of death."
"If you had brought him just a few minutes later, we would have been helpless," Dr. Su added.
"How is my brother, Doctor?" Yan Yan asked anxiously.
"Your brother is fine now, but he is still under observation, and his situation was quite dangerous," Dr. Su replied.
"I also want to remind you that your brother's right arm was completely severed, and unfortunately, we were unable to save it."
"The current technology cannot restore his arm, but a prosthetic one is an option if you have the means," Dr. Su kindly suggested, looking towards Xia Yue.
"Thank you, Doctor. Can we visit my brother now?" Yan Yan asked, expressing her gratitude.
"Not at the moment. You'll have to wait until his condition stabilizes, and we can transfer him to a patient room," Dr. Su replied.
"Thank you again, Doctor," the girl repeated her thanks.
The two were then led by a nurse to the observation room where they could see Jiang Chen's pale face. Their hearts were slightly relieved upon seeing him.
"Thank goodness the operation was successful. If not, we would have been finished," Dr. Gao said while trembling.
Su Mei simply looked at him and walked into the observation room.
"I never thought I would see you again after twelve long years, especially in such a situation, my dear fiancé."

In a luxurious house located in Q City's Red Horse District, a masked woman gazed at the man in front of her with a perceptive look. "What? You mean all of them are dead?"
The man replied with a solemn expression, "Yes, Tang Kai and the other eighteen people died at the hands of Wen Hao and his bodyguard."
"How is that possible? According to the information we had, Wen Hao was only a Silver level evolutionary, while Tang Kai and his team were all in the peak Silver level. Furthermore, he had four more people who were also in the early Silver level," she questioned.
"According to the remnants of the battle, Wen Hao was apparently at the Gold Level, but he was not capable of unleashing his true force," the man explained.
Sighing, the masked woman ordered, "Release Wen Hao's family. After all, they are all innocent."
"How about the two who managed to escape? How did they die?" she asked.
The butler hesitated before answering, "They died in a car accident."
"Then where is the package?" she inquired with a stern gaze.
"The package is in the hands of the police," the butler replied.
"Useless!" she scolded. "I want that package no matter what! And," she added, "I want all the information about who was involved in the accident."
"Understood," the butler replied before leaving the room.
As soon as he left, the woman removed her mask, revealing her stunning beauty, although half of her face was covered with a birthmark. She weakly lay down on a chair.
"Sister, just wait patiently. Once I have the package in my hands, we can reunite before this world ends, at least," she said to herself before picking up a hidden photo under the table.

"Mr. President, are you sure we should inform the people this early, even though the asteroid is still far away?" asked one of his advisors.
"Yes, Mr. President, you should reconsider. It will not help the situation, it will only cause the world to fall into madness," added a businessman who was part of the consortium.
The President thought to himself that it was difficult to please a country that was controlled and led by a consortium. "Okay, I will reconsider it," he said.
