However, this does not mean that they are unable to advance to the next stage; for example, a Pokémon with red potential can evolve into a yellow potential Pokémon, but it will do rather slowly. Alternatively, the potential can be enhanced through empowerment, as you will see in a little while. <br/><br/>Pokémon's strength, speed, defense, and reaction time are all determined by their stages. Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Black, Gold, Diamond, and Vibranium are the stages. Potential doesn't help a Pokémon get above purple rank; instead, it just depends on how much power, time, and resources it has.</p>
