7.33% Pokemon: These Players are too annoying! / Chapter 7: Player first catch

Chapter 7: Player first catch

Blue looked at the players suffering from their losses, feeling frustrated and at a loss for words.

'With their level of Pokémon training… there's no way they'll reach the Indigo League.'

He enjoyed Pokémon battles, but sweeping through these weak opponents was not exciting at all.

'Whatever, even if it's boring, I have to make them regret it!'

Blue definitely had the potential to be a bully…

He said goodbye to his grandfather and Red before leaving, promising Red that they would meet at the first gym.

Red agreed, but feared it would take a while since he had to manage the other players and Pikachu too.

Speaking of Pikachu…

"How sad! I have to hug that little yellow mouse!"

"Right! But I have to ask Red first!"

Such players, recovering their spirits quickly…

But also too carefree…

"Come here, little mouse~"

"Creepy! Don't listen to that guy, listen to me~"

"You two are equally gross," Fairygoth said, looking at Bob and Cuckmaster with a strange expression.

"Oh, by the way, Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon, and when it's upset, it can release enough electricity to knock you out," Oak reminded them.

"…Huh?"

"PIKA-CHUUUUU!!"

Pikachu zapped all five players, while Oak and Red managed to dodge just in time.

All five players were blackened and smoking.

"Are you kidding me?! That hurt more than that turtle from that arrogant guy!"

"Well, it is lightning."

"I didn't do anything…"

"Oh wow, my hair is now an afro."

Getting shocked like that, they were surprisingly calm; maybe they understood this was a game, which gave them confidence and made them less afraid of dying?

Red approached, trying to pull Pikachu away, who was extremely annoyed.

He intended to return Pikachu to her Poké Ball, but her expression was so displeased that he realized she didn't like being inside the ball.

Red then signaled for the players to go outside.

Oak reminded the players that they needed to defeat 8 gyms to challenge the League, although he wasn't sure they could do it.

Then, Oak said goodbye to everyone.

"He's definitely the guide; his role is just like that of a village chief," NTRslayer remarked as he walked behind Red.

"Watching him remind everyone of the rules makes me think of my grandpa back in the countryside. I wonder what he's doing now," Cuckmaster said proudly.

"Are you really someone who just came from the countryside?" Bob scratched his head.

"Didn't I mention that a few times?!"

As Red continued walking, he noticed Pikachu stopping near some berry trees. She jumped up and snatched a berry, quickly eating it.

"Damn, I want a Pikachu!" Cuckmaster said with envy.

"But she doesn't listen and is harder to raise than your Totodile."

"My Totodile is just a bit clueless! And who says it's hard to raise, right, Totodile?" Cuckmaster grinned at Totodile in the Poké Ball.

"I'd believe you if your hair wasn't styled with gel and that red."

"Fuck you."

Red then stopped and signaled for everyone to do as they pleased.

They were free!

"I think I need to log out; I like this game, but I have to work tomorrow," Bob said tiredly.

"What? Are you giving up that early?!"

"We've been playing for hours! I haven't even eaten yet."

"Why not eat here? The berries are pretty tasty, after all."

"Stop talking so much! I'm not always free like you, Cuckmaster!"

With that, Bob logged out, his body transforming into light.

"By the way, how do you know the berries taste good? I don't remember them enhancing our sense of taste," he asked.

"Simple! When I buried my face in the ground, I licked them and tasted them," Cuckmaster posed, speaking with extreme pride.

"This guy is really something…"

"Yuck, next time I'll log in when he's not around," the two girls complained before logging out as well.

"Dude… I thought I was crazy enough, but you're on another level," NTRslayer patted Cuckmaster on the back, who was nearly in tears from being treated like this.

As NTRslayer was about to log out, he noticed Weedle approaching him.

"You're the Pokémon I fed this morning and saved me! What are you doing here?!"

Red noticed that Weedle seemed very interested in this player, it looked like it wanted to follow him.

So, Red walked over to grab a Poké Ball he had bought before starting his journey.

NTRslayer and Cuckmaster saw Red approaching. He handed the Poké Ball to NTRslayer and pointed at Weedle.

"Huh? What does he mean?" Cuckmaster scratched his head, not understanding at all.

NTRslayer remembered that Professor Oak had mentioned this.

When a Pokémon is defeated by a trainer, that Pokémon acknowledges the trainer's strength.

After all, to Pokémon, the strong are king.

But sometimes, it's not necessary, as some Pokémon will cherish their trainers and willingly follow them.

NTRslayer looked at Weedle, feeling incredibly moved!

And Red too—he had helped them so much! From now on, he would be known as sugar daddy!

"Weedle, are you willing to be my Pokémon?"

Weedle nodded, and NTRslayer was overjoyed. He held the Poké Ball tightly and threw it at Weedle.

The ball hit Weedle's head, a light shone all over it, and then it was pulled inside the ball. The ball wobbled for a while before coming to a stop.

"Is it successful?" Cuckmaster asked Red, confused.

Red looked at the two and smiled.

Seeing Red's gentle and handsome smile, NTRslayer knew he had succeeded!

"Hooray! I caught… um, what is it again?"

"I think its name is Weedle."

"Oh, I caught a Weedle!" NTRslayer struck a pose.

Seeing this, Red felt even more pleased. He thought about the system's negative comments regarding the players.

'They're not that bad. They still know how to love Pokémon, and they're quite silly. Maybe the system misunderstood them.'

Watching the two fools dancing around joyfully after catching Weedle made him chuckle to himself.

Chapter 8: Positive review

When the players logged out of the game, Red temporarily noted their personalities.

NTRslayer was occasionally calm, but he was quite curious about everything; compared to the other four, he was very normal.

Cuckmaster was a total idiot with unusual thoughts. The only thing of value about him was his bad-boy good looks—oh, and he wore earrings too.

Bob was similar to NTRslayer, but he focused on flirting with girls.

Fairygoth has cold face and by looking at her accessories like pearl earrings and her neatly styled short hair, she seemed to come from a wealthy family. She had a weak resistance to cute Pokémon.

Farmqueen was just like her name suggested. She had knowledge about farming and would sometimes dig in the ground with her bare hands to see if the berry plants needed fertilizer or anything. Oh, and she could be quite naïve at times.

Of course, this was all from Red's perspective. If it were Blue's, he would probably call all five of them douchebags or something.

'Oh right, the shop that the system mentioned but I haven't checked out yet.'

The shop screen appeared, showing an array of items for sale.

I mean… really a lot.

'Mega key? Z move?? Dynamax???'

Red was confused; for a boy from the small town of Kanto, he had never seen these things before.

He scrolled through many items, they sold everything from outfits for Pokémon to a flute.

Wait, why is this flute so ridiculously expensive??

It was priced at over 100 billion pokédollars! Red believed that even if he worked himself to death, he couldn't afford this item.

'This shop has so many items I've never seen before... and the cheapest thing here is a letter.'

He glanced at the amount of money his mother had given him, which was only about 10,000 pokédollars.

He decided to turn off the shop, but before he did, he noticed an item.

Soothe Bell

He read the item information while watching his Pikachu playing with a neighboring Pokémon.

This Pikachu didn't listen to him. She seemed to enjoy her freedom. Perhaps that was why she refused to return to her Poké Ball.

He wanted her to trust him, but he couldn't force her.

Seeing the Soothe Bell was reasonably priced, he decided to buy it.

A blue light appeared in his hand, forming a small bell with a strap.

Holding it, he approached Pikachu.

However, Pikachu was more difficult than he expected, every time he got closer, she stepped back.

Was it because she was a female Pikachu and more cautious?

Red felt helpless when Pikachu wouldn't come closer, and it was getting late.

He tried to convey to Pikachu that they would begin their journey together, and she reluctantly accepted.

She was interested in exploration and adventure, not because of this human, hmpf!

"..."

What's this? Why does this face look like Blue's?

Are they the same type? Tsundere?

Red decided to let it go. Overthinking was exhausting.

With that, he and Pikachu left the town together.

However, before leaving.

"Red!"

Three younger voices called out behind him, and he turned to see two boys and a girl—his neighbors Chase, Elaine, and Trace.

They were only about six years old.

"So you're the last one to leave," Chase said, on the verge of tears.

When he had moved here with Elaine, he was very worried and shy.

That was until he met the older kids—Red, Blue, and Leaf.

They treated them kindly.

Red was quiet but nice, Blue was arrogant yet affectionate, and Leaf was cheerful but a bit wicked.

Wait, why was Leaf different from the other two?

Never mind, thanks to meeting them, Chase and Elaine gained confidence and both dreamed of becoming trainers alongside their best friend, Trace.

Trace was a bit special, he was a relative of Blue, so he was closer to him than the others. (Cousin)

If Blue was proud, then Trace was friendly in equal measure.

The three were very close, almost like little replicas of Red, Blue, and Leaf.

But all three of them were now ten years old, officially becoming legal trainers.

In a month, the Indigo League would take place.

Since Leaf's birthday came earlier than Red and Blue's, she had set off first with the Bulbasaur she had raised since she was little.

Then it was Blue's turn; they hadn't even said goodbye to him before he vanished.

Now it was just Red, and they wanted to bid farewell as sincerely as possible.

Red looked at the three kids, almost smiling.

It was just a month away, yet they acted as if he were leaving for a year. These kids were so innocent.

"Red! I hope you become the greatest trainer ever!"

"Don't lose to anyone! Show them that the trainers from Pallet Town can't be underestimated!"

"Please take care of Blue while you're on your journey."

Chase and Elaine cheered, while Trace spoke softly.

Red raised his fist with a confident smile.

Then he bid farewell along with Pikachu.

Pikachu looked at Red with a different expression.

'This human is very well-liked... could he be different from other trainers?'

Pikachu's perspective of Red shifted slightly.

"Phew! I'm all sweaty and so hungry!"

Rey got up from his bed, looking at the virtual reality headset and reflecting on what he experienced in the game.

This is the first time he seen a game with a light-hearted atmosphere, yet its primary content revolves around battle commands.

It was incredibly creative and highly strategic!

He decided to take a shower and then order some food.

As he showered, the memories he experienced in the game haunted him more and more—Cyndaquil, Weedle.

So cute!

He was hooked on this game!

After finishing his shower, he decided to turn on his computer and look up that Pokémon game.

Clicking on the reviews, he decided to leave a positive rating. If there were 10 stars, he would definitely give it a full score without hesitation! Unfortunately, there were only 5 stars available.

He typed out each word on the keyboard, praising the game until he ran out of compliments.

Post!

His first review appeared on the screen, and he looked at it with satisfaction.
