"Misty! You're only back now? Do you know how hard it is for us to deal with trainers every day?" Violet complained, looking at Misty.
"I've only been gone for less than a week!" Misty stomped her foot angrily.
"But the three of us aren't even trainers. What do you expect from models who are supposed to be performing, you toad?" Lily sneered.
"You!!!!"
'Their relationship really isn't good at all...' everyone thought.
"Ahem! I, as the Gym Leader of Cerulean City, will not allow you to receive the Cascade Badge unless you defeat me!"
"Interesting, in that case, I'll go first!" Blue smirked arrogantly, exuding confidence as he stepped towards the battlefield.
But before he could step up, Bob suddenly appeared on the battlefield.
"What the?! Where did this jerk come from?!" Blue exclaimed, startled as Bob had stolen his chance to battle.
"Water-type, huh? Easy! I'll win this battle effortlessly!"
"..." A vein appeared on Misty's forehead. Although she was grateful to them for rescuing her, their arrogance and disregard for others were getting on her nerves!
Doesn't this Bob have a Bulbasaur? If it hasn't evolved yet, it's a bit late! I'll teach him a lesson!
The referee, a woman, came forward to explain the battle rules and introduced both participants.
"Come out, Bulbasaur! Show them your cuteness!"
He threw his Poké Ball, summoning a cheerful Bulbasaur.
Misty also threw her Poké Ball, summoning a Seel.
Bob checked his Pokédex and then smirked at Misty, ready to mock her.
But before he could say anything, he saw Misty take off her jacket, revealing her swimsuit.
Bob froze, his eyes wandering to places they shouldn't before finally settling on her face.
Misty suddenly felt a chill down her spine, her expression filled with disgust at Bob.
'This creep is looking at me in a disgusting way!' Misty thought.
'Wait, why am I just noticing now how pretty she is?!' Bob thought.
"BOB! SHE'S 10 YEARS OLD!!!" Rey shouted, having noticed how Bob had been staring at Misty, realizing that he was at it again!
"Huh?! Oh, right! She's 10 years old! What kind of maniac would like a 10-year-old tomboy anyway?" (Drake)
"WHAT?!" This time, Misty was furious. First, she was disgusted by how he had looked at her inappropriately, and now he was suddenly insulting her!
"I'LL SHOW YOU HELL! SEEL, USE ICE SHARD!!"
Seel immediately fired numerous ice shards at Bulbasaur. Due to Bob's distraction, he couldn't order Bulbasaur to dodge in time.
Several shards struck Bulbasaur, causing it to fall backward.
Bulbasaur fainted!
"Bulbasaur is unable to battle!"
"The trainer is out of pokémon, Misty wins!"
"..." Bob's mouth hung open; he hadn't even had time to do anything before he was easily one-shotted?!
"Isn't Ice Shard a Water-type move?!" Birdup was shocked, while Oceanlover's eyes sparkled.
"Dummy, that's an Ice-type move," Blue said with a disdainful look, looking down on the players.
"Ice-type?! Sounds pretty cool!" Oceanlover jumped up happily, seeming to have decided on his new favorite type!
"Red, I didn't expect her personality to be hotter than I thought," Leaf said, looking at Misty's Pokémon.
Hearing that, Red immediately remembered the punch to his head from her while he was lying in the hospital bed.
She really is hot-tempered... yet she managed to stay calm throughout the entire journey. I wonder why?
"Alright, I'll-"
"I WILL BATTLE!!!"
The players quickly shoved Blue aside, competing with each other for a chance to battle Misty.
"You bastards!!!!" Blue's face turned red with anger, and he nearly charged at them if not for Red and Leaf holding him back.
"I'll go first! Please, let me have this chance!!" Lukas raised his hand, drawing everyone's attention.
"Oh! Our protagonist is going to battle, huh?! Aren't you afraid the author will beat you up?" Some player said.
"Anyone who's scared can go home! With style!" Lukas pointed toward the door, causing everyone to be infuriated.
"Loser! I hope you lose!"
"Get beaten badly!"
"I'm rooting for the Gym Leader to kick this jerk's butt!"
Lukas smiled, ignoring the trivial and scattered comments, because nothing could stop him!
"Hey, little orange girl! I'll show you the art of war by Sun Tzu!"
This time, more veins appeared on Misty's forehead; she felt like they didn't take her seriously at all.
"Come out, Giggle— I mean, Gible!"
A cute little hammerhead shark Pokémon looked at her.
'...Gible, huh?'
Seeing Lukas's Pokémon reminded her of the strongest Champion with a Garchomp she had seen on TV, who was considered a once-in-a-decade trainer and such a powerful Champion!
(Leon? Who is he? I don't know anyone named Leon, please don't say anything.)
But unfortunately, while the Pokédex might not have information on Gible, its type was so well-known that everyone knew it.
A Ground/Dragon type is strong, but it has a very deadly weakness.

Yesterday, I was writing novel about Three Kingdoms (you definitely wouldn't know about it if you're not from Asia, unless you play Dynasty Warriors), so that's why there's a new chapter just now.
