Chapter 6: Chapter 6

"Of course!" Although Sam felt that this sentence was very abrupt, he still replied.

"Then, let's continue fighting, Gloom!" Alex said, and Gloom immediately stood up from the ground, looking refreshed as if he was not hurt.

"Oh, your Gloom is pretty good too!" Sam said, but he felt something was wrong, though he couldn't quite pinpoint what.

"Gloom, use Paralyzing Powder!" Alex shouted. Gloom quickly rushed to the Swampert and sprayed out yellow powder. "What? How could this happen?" Sam was very surprised. For a moment, he forgot to issue an order to Swampert, and Swampert had no time to dodge. It immediately fell into paralysis.

"That's right, Gloom is going to use Solar Beam again!" Alex shouted. Gloom immediately accumulated strength and fired the second Solar Beam at the giant Swampert. The giant Swampert's face was already visible. It seemed uncomfortable!

"The final blow!" Alex waved his hand. Gloom quickly spurted out a large stream of purple liquid from its flower. The pain made Swampert very uncomfortable, and then Swampert fell down.

"Quick reaction and well-prepared combos, not bad!" Sam's expression was half-smiling as he recalled the giant Swampert.

"Thank you!" Alex took back his Gloom without making eye contact with Sam.

"Then, let's fulfill my promise! These two stones, the Green Leaf Stone and the Red Sun Stone, which one do you want for your Gloom?" Sam asked.

"Can I take both stones first?" Alex said.

"Of course! But I wonder if you can answer my questions?" Sam asked.

"Oh, I'm so hungry after fighting for so long. Should we eat first?" Alex said, pretending not to understand what was going on.

"Okay! But since we're eating early, we'll have plenty of time to chat later!" Sam said, giving Alex a questioning look.

"Of course!" Alex agreed.

"Yeah!" Sam immediately headed back to the house after receiving Alex's reply. Half an hour later, a sumptuous dinner was served.

Compared to Sam's anxious mood, Alex was very relaxed. But finally, after dinner, the two of them sat in front of the wooden house, lit a candle, sat under the night sky, and listened to the buzzing of insects around them. Alex began slowly, "I have some ability to control the power of grass, for example, I can do this!" After speaking, Alex waved his hand gently toward the grass in front of him, and the sickle-shaped energy flew gracefully. Alex's energy blade, resembling a flying blade, genuinely surprised Sam. "Is this your special ability? It's quite impressive."

"Well, I understand!" Sam quickly composed himself. "The fewer people who know about you, the better. Aren't you afraid that I'll tell others about you?"

"Of course not!" Alex looked at the stars in the sky and said slowly, "Although I'm just a child, I can still judge character to some extent, especially after being with you for so long."

"Thank you for trusting me," Sam said to Alex seriously, and Alex responded with a smile, "Thank you for taking care of me!"

"What do you plan to do in the future?" Sam suddenly asked.

"Me? What do you think about opening a grass-type gym here?" Alex said.

"Oh? Can I join the team?" Sam also seemed quite interested.

"Of course! You should know that my gym will need a manager!" Alex chuckled.

"What? With my strength, can I only be a House?" Sam was a little unconvinced.

"Being a manager is a significant responsibility! You'll be in charge of various gym affairs, as well as overseeing all the Pokémon and apprentices. With your strength and intelligence, you're the perfect fit!" Alex explained.

"Is your child really only seven years old?" Sam asked, clearly intrigued by Alex's maturity.

"Haha, kids these days grow up fast!" Alex said.

"Really?" Sam replied with a smile. The two of them chatted for a while before finally heading back to their rooms late at night.

The next day, it was a sunny day, and Alex's Bellossom came to him early in the morning. "Huh? Have you made your choice?" Alex asked.

Bellossom nodded, and Alex immediately took out two stones. Sam approached Bellossom, and Bellossom's little hand slowly stretched out towards the Red Sun Stone. After a few seconds, Bellossom emitted a dazzling light and finally evolved into the beautiful flower she desired.

"Welcome, Bellossom!" Alex said with a smile, and Bellossom gracefully bowed in response.

"Your strength has improved even further now," Sam remarked happily.

With the original Oddish evolving into a Bellossom, Alex's journey was about to continue. Alex asked for Sam's help, "Oh? You're looking for a Grass Flying type Tropius! Maybe my Pokémon can help you!" Sam agreed immediately, and his Tropius flew out of the house. Half an hour later, Tropius returned.

"Are you sure about this? You know, this Grass Flying Tropius is very powerful! Your current strength might barely match it," Sam said, concerned.

"It doesn't matter. How will we know if we don't try?" Alex replied. He had waited a long time for this moment and didn't want to wait any longer. Seeing Alex's determination, the two of them followed Tropius's instructions and arrived at the banana forest where Alex had been. Sure enough, Tropius was there!

Tropius immediately noticed Alex and descended from the tree, looking curiously at the bellossom beside Alex.

"Oh? It seems like Tropius also wants to give you this opportunity!" Sam noted.

"Then, let the battle begin!" Alex waved his hand, and Bellossom stood in front of Tropius.

Bellossom was much smaller than Tropius, but she wasn't afraid, and her presence wasn't overshadowed by the formidable Tropius.

"First, let's have Bellossom use Sweet Scent!" Alex commanded. Bellossom swayed slightly, and pink gas began to envelop the area. However, Tropius paid no attention to it and immediately attacked, using Leaf Blade!

"Get out of the way!" Bellossom was not only graceful but also nimble. She dodged quickly. However, Tropius didn't give up and launched another attack, striking Bellossom with a Leaf Blade. This time, Flower felt threatened, and her movements became slower as she took significant damage. "Bellossom, hang in there!" Alex shouted.

Tropius saw that his tactic was working and used Solar Beam directly on Beautiful Flower. "Bellossom, don't give up!" While Tropius was charging, Alex shouted, "Use Double team!" At this critical moment, Alex yelled out, and the Solar Beam from Tropius struck with devastating force. Fortunately, Bellossom managed to dodge it, and only one of her clones was hit.

Tropius didn't let up and unleashed Leaf Storm. It roared and soared into the air, surrounded by countless green leaves that spun around it like a tornado, heading straight for Bellossom. "Bellossom, show it your dance, Petal Dance!" Alex commanded.

The clones of Bellossom began to dance in unison, and many pink petals started to grow around her. Soon, the pink petals enveloped Bellossom, and the synchronized dance of the clones resembled a small tornado. Wherever the Leaf Storm passed, the clones vanished, eventually reaching the real Bellossom. Instead of dodging, Bellossom collided with the Leaf Storm. The two storms clashed, causing the grass and trees around them to be uprooted. Alex and Sam were also affected, and the energy finally reached its breaking point. "Boom!" They exploded under the force. Amidst the black smoke, green leaves and red petals scattered, and when the smoke cleared, Bellossom stood on the ground, looking like she had taken a lot of damage. At this moment, Tropius was hovering above, seemingly unharmed.

"Bellossom, Double team!" Alex extended his right hand, and Bellossom suddenly surged with power, transforming into multiple clones! At the same time, the trees surrounding Tropius began to tighten around it as if responding to an invisible command. Tropius was visibly surprised!

"Quick, use the Dissolving Liquid!" Alex shouted, and Bellossom hurled purple liquid from her petals. The tropical dragon pokemon Tropius then roared in agony, "Okay, now Poison Powder!" Alex commanded.

Bellossom petals swayed gently, and purple poisonous powder wafted from her head. Alex's power seemed to have reached its limit at this point. The vines around the Tropius began to loosen slowly, and although the poisoned and injured Tropius wanted to attack Alex, it hesitated. "Alright, it's time to go back into the PokéBall!" Alex immediately threw the PokéBall!
