Chapter 82: The Indigo Plateau Finals Preparations

(At the Pokemon Center.)

(Mew has the Pokemon she's using brought over so they can get treated.)

(Mew and her friends wait and in no time.)

(Nurse Joy brings out the tray that has her Pokeballs.)

(and Chansey brings out the stretcher that has Pikachu and Eevee on them.)

(Nurse Joy happily says.)

Nurse Joy: "All your Pokemon are back to perfect health."

(Pikachu and Eevee happily jump off of the stretcher and onto Mew's shoulders.)

(Mew happily says.)

Mew: "Glad to see you two are all better."

Pikachu: "Pika Pika," (So are we.)

(Pikachu says.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee," (We feel a lot better now.)

(Eevee says.)

Nurse Joy: "I wish you good luck in the finals, and hope you'll do great at it."

(Nurse Joy says.)

Mew: "Thank you Nurse Joy. I'll do my best at the finals."

(Mew says.)

(Mew turns to her friends.)

Mew: "Come on guys, we better get going."

Brock: "Yeah. Gary's match will be beginning soon,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "Let's hurry,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Let's go!"

(Tomo cheers.)

(The Pokemon happily cheers as well.)

(A little time later.)

(Mew and the others are in the stadium.)

(and are watching Gary Oak compete in the Semi finals of the Pokemon League against Otoshi.)

(First Gary uses his Nidoking that is using Mega Horn.)

(as Otoshi uses a Ninetales that uses Flamethrower.)

(Gary then uses Golem that uses its Rollout Attack.)

(while Otoshi has Dodrio that uses its Drill Peck Attack.)

(Next Gary uses Blastoise that uses Hydro Pump.)

(as Otoshi has Kangaskhan that uses an Outrage Attack.)

(Then Gary uses Arcanine that uses Fire Blast.)

(and Otoshi uses a Starmie that performs a Bubble Beam Attack.)

(Throughout the match, Gary and Otoshi are able to knock each other's Pokemon out.)

(Now the screen shows that Gary has only two Pokemon left.)

(while Otoshi has only one Pokemon left.)

(At the battlefield, Otoshi is using his companion, Marowak.)

(while Gary has a Scyther.)

(And on the battlefield.)

(Marowak and Scyther are battling each other rather hard.)

(Scyther uses it's scythes to attack Marowak.)

(but Marowak either dodges or uses its bone to block the attacks.)

(Otoshi calls out.)

Otoshi: "Marowak, use Bone Rush!"

(Maorwak then begins to use Bone Rush and begins the attack on Scyther.)

(Gary calls out.)

Gary: "Scyther, deflect it!"

(Scyther then uses its white scythes arms to deflect the attack.)

(Gary then calls out.)

Gary: "Now Scyther, use X-Scissor!"

(Scyther then begins to use X-Scissor to get a hard blow on Marowak.)

(Marowak then falls to the ground and is soon knocked out.)

(The referee says.)

The referee: "Marowak is unable to battle, which means Scyther is the winner and the victor goes to Gary."

(Soon, the screen shows Otoshi has no more Pokemon to battle.)

The announcer: "What an outstanding battle. Gary Oak is able to gain his victory and now is moving on to the finals,"

(The announcer says.)

(Gary smiles and knows that he is now going to compete in the finals, against Mew.)

(Otoshi walks to Marowak and helps him up.)

(Marowak is disappointed that they lost.)

(But Otoshi smiles and says.)

Otoshi: "Do not worry Marowak, you have done an excellent job and gave it your all."

(Marowak calmly smiles and nods its head.)

(knowing that they've both done their best.)

(Mew and her friends clap and cheer with excitement on how great the battle is.)

(Misty says.)

Misty: "Gary is now going to compete in the finals."

Brock: "Yeah. He and Mew are going to be in the finals, and it all comes down to who battles best tomorrow."

(Brock says.)

(Mew smiles and is glad Gary is now going to be in the finals.)

(Of course, she knows that both she and Gary are going to compete together.)

(for the final battle of the Indigo Plateau Pokemon League Competition.)

(After the second round of the semi finals.)

(Mew and her friends are walking around the town close.)

(to the stadium to see the many food stands, shop booths, and a few game areas.)

Misty: "Wow There are a lot of booths today."

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Yeah. There are many different games, shops, and lots of different food."

(Mew says.)

(Tomo then asks.)

Tomo: "Hey Mew, can we get something to eat."

Mew: "Sure,"

(Mew happily says.)

(Mew and her friends look around and soon buy some snacks like corn dogs, popcorn, drinks, and cotton candy.)

(Mew and the others also give some of the food to the Pokemon, much to their delight.)

(Mew asks.)

Mew: "The cotton candy tastes good, huh guys?"

Pikachu: "Pika Pika," (It tastes very good.)

(Pikachu happily says.)

(Eevee happily says.)

Eevee: "Eevee," (It's very sweet.)

Brock: "So guys, what do you want to do next?"

(Brock asks.)

(Mew turns her head and notices the booth.)

Mew: "Hey guys, look over there."

(The others turn their heads to notice some people gathering around a booth.)

(The booth has two people that have many different prizes behind them.)

(On the table, there is a marble lottery and a few more prizes on the table.)

(Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "What's that?"

Brock: "It's a lottery game. You turn the well to the marble lottery and depending on what color marble comes out, you win a prize."

(Brock says.)

Mew: "Sounds fun. Let's go check it out."

(Mew says.)

(Mew and her friends decide to check out the booth.)

(and they can see so many different prizes.)

(There are Pokemon keychains, jewelry, Evolution Stones, flutes, pearls, and other items.)

(there's even a few Pokemon Eggs, Pokeballs, a few bicycles.)

(and other stuff that are being offered for prizes.)

(There's also a few Pokeballs with Pokemon inside of them.)

(Interested, Mew says.)

Mew: "So, any of you guys wanna play?"

Misty: "Sure. It sounds fun, and maybe you can win me a new bike."

(Misty says.)

(Mew laughs.)

Mew: "Right I still owe you for frying your bike."

Tomo: "Hey Mew, can I go first?"

(Tomo asks.)

Mew: "Sure. I think I have more than enough for both of us. And it seems that it's Five dollars for three tries and two dollars for one,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "I want to do it three times,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Sure,"

(Mew says.)

(After paying the man.)

(Tomo is the first to turn the wheel on the marble lottery game.)

(Then turn the wheel the opposite direction.)

(Soon, a small white marble comes out.)

(He does the same thing again, and ends up with another white marble.)

(Finally, after a third time, he ends up with a green marble.)

(The vendor says.)

The vendor: "Two whites and a green. It's a good win. Now you can pick anything you like from the white section and the green section."

(Tomo looks to see that the white section has some berries, small key chains, postcards, and other small stuff.)

(Tomo takes two Oran berries and gives them to Meloetta and Skwovet.)

(Tomo also looks at the green section to see a few t-shirts, hats, scarves, ascots, and bandanas, bracelets, and other accessories.)

(Tomo then takes a blue shirt that has a Pikachu on it.)

(Tomo happily says.)

Tomo: "Thank you."

The vendor: "No problem Now who's next,"

(The vendor replies.)

(Misty steps forward.)

Misty: "I'll go next."

(Misty then pays the vendor and decides to have a go.)

(After three tries on the wheel, she ends up with one white marble, one yellow marble, and one green one.)

(Misty then picks out a postcard that has a picture of water Pokemon from the white section.)

(From the green section, she picks out a light blue scarf.)

(and on the yellow section, this one has a lot of different Pokeballs.)

(Misty picks out a Dive Ball.)

(Brock then has a turn with the lottery. Brock ends up with a blue marble, white marble, and a green ball.)

(From the white section, Brock takes a geodude keychain.)

(From the green section, he takes a wristband.)

(From the blue section, where they have evolutionary items, Brock takes a Metal Coat.)

(Now finally it's Mew's turn.)

(Mew spins the wheel three times, and ends up with a red ball, an orange ball, and a purple ball.)

(From the red section, Mew ends up with a Pokemon that is already in a Pokeball.)

(From the orange section, Mew has received a Pokemon Egg in an incubator.)

(The Pokemon Egg inside has an ivory color on the top and bottom, in the middle, it has a lovely silver color.)

(The last prize from the purple one, Mew ends up winning a bicycle.)

(for a one rider, and it comes with a basket at the front.)

(Mew then takes the bike and presents it to Misty.)

Mew: "Here you go Misty, one Bike."

Misty: "Thank you Mew,"

(Misty says, and happily takes the bike.)

(Then places Togepi and Pichu in the basket.)

Misty:: "Now there's also a basket for Pichu and Pikachu to ride in."

(Togepi and Pichu are happy.)

Brock: "So Mew, what you got in the Pokeball?"

(Brock asks.)

Tomo: "Yeah. What Pokemon did you get?"

(Tomo asks, curiously.)

Mew: "Let's see,"

(Mew says.)

(Then tosses her Pokeball in the air.)

Mew: "Come on out."

(The Pokeball is tossed in the air.)

(opens, and the Pokemon comes out.)

(It's an artificial Pokémon that is a plain, gray cloud with a single wisp extending from the top of its head.)

Mew: "It's a Castform,"

(Mew says.)

(Mew holds out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Castform, the Weather Pokemon. A Normal Type. It has the ability to change its form into the sun, the rain, or a snow cloud, depending on the weather. The Sunny Form makes it a Fire Type. A Rainy Form makes it a Water Type, and the Snowy Form makes it an Ice Type."

Misty: "Wow. It's like having four different Pokemon Types in one Pokemon."

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Yeah,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to Castform.)

Mew: "Castform, let's become good friends."

Castform: "Castform," (Of course)

(Castform happily says.)

(Then Mew returns Castform to its Pokeball.)

(Then Misty asks.)

Misty: "So Mew, have you decided which Pokemon you want to use for your match tomorrow. Remember, you'll be fighting Gary."

Mew: "I know, but to also be honest, I'm really nervous about it. I've only known Gary for like three years now, and it feels that he's one of my best friends. I guess you can say I'm excited that I'm excited about battling him and seeing how much we've grown and raised our Pokemon, but at the same time, I'm nervous about facing one of my best friends."

(Mew explains.)

Brock: "Don;t worry, I'm sure you'll do great tomorrow. Even if you are battling against Gary. You just need to remember that you and Gary just need to give it everything you got."

(Brock says.)

(Mew smiles.)

Mew: "You're right. I need to remember that my Pokemon and I have trained hard for this, and now we're in the finals. I just need to remember to give it everything I've got. I know Gary is feeling the same way."

Misty: "So Mew, did you know what kind of Pokemon you want to use."

(Misty says.)

(Mew then turns to Pikachu and Eevee.)

Mew: "Of course, I want to choose Pikachu and Eevee for the finals."

Tomo: "And what about the other four?"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Well, I'm thinking of using Charizard. And well, I've decided that Charizard and I are going wear the Key Stone and Mega Stone that Mr. Kyle handed them down to me."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "That's a great idea. Do you think you and Charizard might be able to Mega Evolve?"

(Misty replies.)

Mew: "To be honest, I'm not sure. But I know that Charizard has grown so much since,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "I'm sure you two can do it,"

(Tomo says.)

(Mew smiles and says.)

Mew: "Thanks."

(Meanwhile, on the different side of Pokemon Village.)

(Gary is also deep in thought about his final match tomorrow, and he's going up against Mew.)

Gary: "Hmm, what kind of Pokemon can I use? Mew has so many different Pokemon that it's going to be hard to know which one she'll use. She makes sure to switch some when they get either very injured or tired. Still, this is a lot of thinking on what to do about tomorrow."

(Gary says to himself.)

(Then sighs.)

Gary: "Especially since I'm going to be battling against her."

Daisy: "Hey Gary."

(Daisy's voice calls out.)

(Garty turns to see Daisy along with Adriana walking towards him.)

Gary: "Hi mom. Hi Daisy, how are you doing?"

(Gary replies.)

Adriana: "We're doing fine, but I can tell you're very deep in thought."

(Adriana says.)

Daisy: "Yeah. Since the finals are tomorrow."

(Daisy says.)

Gary: "I know. That's why I'm thinking very hard on which Pokemon to use and do some training before our match. Also well, I'm also feeling a bit weird about it."

(Gary says.)

(Adriana nods her head and says.)

Adriana: "I know. It's rather weird battling against your best friend. Some trainers feel that way sometimes, but for your case, I can sense a little more for you."

(Gary blushes and says.)

Gary: "I… I don't know what you're talking about."

(Adriana giggles and says.)

Adriana: "You kind of reminded me of me when I felt like that."

Gary and Daisy: "Huh?"

(Gary and Daisy reply, confused.)

(Adriana then says.)

Adriana: "I felt the same way when I was facing against your father in the finals too."

Daisy: "You did?"

(Daisy says, confused.)

Adriana: "Yes. But we both agree that no matter what happens, we're going to give it everything we had. Of course, I was still uneasy because I actually developed a crush on him."

(Adriana says.)

(Then calmly smiles and says.)

Adriana: "And I can tell that you feel the same for you."

Gray: "Oh…"

(Gray says, feeling a little embarrassed.)

(Daisy says.)

Daisy: "Somehow I figured as much. When you leave home, you practically want to be around her and to help her out. You even read Pokemon books and watch T.V together. I suspect that you've developed feelings for her."

Gary: "I suppose… but I also need to remember that we're also rivals."

(Gary says, now sounding eager to battle.)

Adriana: "Yeah. and I'm sure Mew feels the same. Even though you're friends and rivals, you both are also trainers and need to be sure you put your heart and training you've done into your battle. I want you and Mew to give it everything you have on your match tomorrow."

(Adriana says.)

(Gary nods his head with a smile and says.)

Gary: "Don't worry, I won't be holding back and will show Mew what kind of match she's in for."

Daisy: "So, have you decided what Pokemon to use?"

(Daisy asks.)

Gary: "I have a few ideas, it's just a little hard to predict because Mew has so many. I suspect she'll be using Pikachu and Eevee at some point."

(Gary says.)

Adriana: "Sounds like you're in for a good start."

(Adriana says.)

Gary: "Yeah. But I have to remember it's Mew we're talking about. She might not be easy to predict when it comes to her Pokemon."

(Gary says.)

(Later in the night, everyone else is fast asleep for the night before the finals of the Pokemon competition.)

(Mew however is the only one who isn't sleeping.)

(She is sitting outside of the porch in front of the cabin she is staying in.)

(Mew takes a deep breath and says.)

Mew: "Tomorrow it's going to be the finals. And tomorrow I'm going to face off against Gary. I'm so excited and yet so nervous about it. Still, it's also going to be when I show Gary and everyone how hard I've trained for this."

(She smiles and says.)

Mew: "I just need to give it everything I've got, for myself and for my Pokemon."

(Suddenly, she hears a growl sound.)

(She turns her head to see her papa, Zeraora.)

Mew: "Oh, hi papa, how are you doing?"

(Mew asks.)

(Zeraora growls.)

Zeraora: "I'm good, are you ready for tomorrow?"

Mew: "Yes papa. I think I'm ready for tomorrow. I promise to give it everything I got in my match."

(Mew says.)

(Zeraora calmly smiles and nods his head.)

(He then begins growling like he is talking to Mew.)

(Whatever Zeraora says, has Mew surprised, but then smiles.)

Mew: "Really? Are you sure?"

(Zeraora growls with a smile and agrees to it.)

(Mew smiles and says.)

Mew: "Oh, I'm so happy."

(Then hugs her papa with a smile.)

(Suddenly, they hear someone say.)

???: "It looks like we're in for an outstanding match tomorrow."

(Mew and Zeraora turns to see Professor Oak.)

(Mew happily says.)

Mew: "Professor Oak."

Professor Oak: "Yes. I suspected you'll be up and wanted to wish you good luck tomorrow. And it looks like everyone is in for a surprise tomorrow,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Mew laughs and says.)

Mew: "They sure are, especially my friends."

(The next day is the day of the finals.)

(all the people who arrive are so excited to see the finals of the Pokemon League competition about to take place.)

(Among them, Misty, Brock, Tomo, A.J. Ritchie, Otoshi, and Joe are there.)

(There are also Professor Oak, Adriana, Daisy, and Gardevoir holding her Pokemon Egg.)

(Everyone is so excited to see the finals is now taking place.)

(but some are a bit anxious because this battle is going to be two close friends.)

(and in a way rivals compete against each other, and Mew's friends are feeling those emotions.)

(The announcers says.)

The announcers: "Now it's the moment we've been waiting for, it's time for the Pokemon Indigo League Finals!"

(Everyone claps and cheers with excitement and can't wait for the finals to take place.)

(Soon, on the left side, Gary Oak walks out to make his entrance.)

(The announcer says.)

The announcer: "On the red side we have Gary Oak from Pallet Town!"

(The crowd cheers with excitement, especially Professor Oak, Adriana, and Daisy.)

(Misty and the others clap with smiles on their faces.)

(Soon, walking out from the ride side of the stadium, Mew is with Pikachu and Eevee walking beside her.)

(and to Misty and the others surprise, Zeraora is with her.)

(Misty is the first to speak.)

Misty: "Zeraora? What's he doing here?"

Professor Oak: "You'll see,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(The announcer says.)

The announcer: "And on the right side, we have Mew from Pallet Town!"

(Misty and her friends cheer with excitement.)

(Then the announcer says.)

the announcer: "These two Pallet Town trainers are competing for the first time and now rise to face each other in the finals! Only six Pokemon can be used and each trainer is allowed to switch Pokemon! The winner is when all Pokemon from one side are unable to battle!"

(Mew and Gary soon reach their position on the battlefield.)

(The two young trainers from Pallet Town look at each other.)

(with calm smiles and with determination in their eyes.)

(They not only plan to give it their all, but they all plan on winning.)

(Gary then brings out his Pokeball and calls out.)

Gary: "Nidoqueen, I choose you!"

(With that, a large Pokemon comes out of its Pokeball.)

(It's a large, bipedal blue Pokémon with distinct reptilian features.)

(Its body is encased with extremely hard scales.)

(It has a blunt snout, narrow brown eyes, and large ears with brown insides.)

(There is a small horn on its forehead, a single spine on each ear.)

(and a line of toxic spikes running down the length of its back.)

(Each hand has three short claws and each foot has two claws.)

(Its lower jaw, the front of its abdomen, and two plates on its chest are cream-colored.)

(It has a thick, powerful tail.)

Mew: "Wow. So he has a Nidoqueen,"

(Mew says, impressed.)

(She brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Nidoqueen, the Drill Pokemon and the final evolved form of a Female Nidoran. A Poison and Ground Type. Tough scales cover the sturdy body of this Pokémon. It appears that the scales grow in cycles."

Mew: "This will be tough, but I know I have to give it my all,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to her papa.)

Mew: "Ready papa?"

(Zeraora growls with a nod.)

(Then calls out.)

Mew: "Alright Papa, let's go!"

(With that, Zeraora jumps into the battlefield.)

(At the stand, excluding Processor Oak and Gardevoir, Misty and the others are shocked.)

Brock: "Zeraora is going to battle?!"

(Brock exclaims in surprise.)

Misty: "I can't believe it,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "That's so cool,"

(Tomo says, excited.)

Adriana: "I never thought Zeraora was going to battle with his daughter. That's so sweet,"

(Adriana says.)

Daisy: "This is going to be one interesting battle,"

(Daisy says with a nod.)

(Gary is a little surprised.)

(but simply smiles with confidence and determination.)

(Then say.)

Gary: "Well, this is quite the surprising start for the finals. And yet, I've always wanted to battle against your dad."

Mew: "Somehow, I knew you said that. But you know, my papa, my friends, and myself are going to give it everything we got."

(Mew says.)

(Gary says.)

Gary: "I wouldn't have it any other way."

(This is surely to be a surprising event.)

(Mew and Gary are now going to compete against each other in the finals.)

(and Mew is going to have her papa compete in the final round of the Indigo Plateau.)

(Who will be the victor of the finals?)

(Gary or Mew? And how will this battle turn out?)

(That is something on everyone's minds right now.)
