[Two months later] [Winter-December 3:00 p.m]
After the events of the Meeting of Champions, Unova has had several improvements and positive changes thanks to the command of the current champion Touya.
Currently we can see him land in a somewhat remote town in Unova, Lacunosa town, which has had several requests for help about a so-called 'monster' over the past few months.
Touya got off Reshiram who seemed slightly affected by the cold of the town and the environment, so Touya quickly returned him to his pokeball.
Touya walked through the quiet city surrounded by a rather large wall, while searching for the home of the person who requested help.
"And now I depend on my locating skills, great" Touya said sarcastically as he looked around with no idea where he was.
The city was quite nice and cold, making Touya's breath visible and he had to find the coat in his bag to put it on.
There were 15 days until Christmas and 8 until Touya's birthday, so he decided to quickly end this to return home.
Touya searched his notes about an old lady's request from a couple of days ago, which also noted her address.
And after going around a few times, Touya came to the house that jotted down his notes and knocked on the door a couple of times.
"I'm going!" said a childish voice from the other side of the door.
After a few seconds the door opened showing a little girl of about four years old in Jigglypuff pajamas, who looked at Touya for a moment and...
"The champion! Grandma the champion is here!" the girl said shouting with great excitement as she grabbed Touya's right leg.
"Hey, it's not that good, I've only been champion for a few months" Touya said, still a bit ashamed for his importance in the region.
Hearing the girl's call, an old lady with a calm and peaceful appearance came out of the house.
"Ohh, young champion, I am very happy that you have responded to this old woman's request" said the old woman happily and with a grateful tone.
"It's nothing, sorry for taking so long" Touya said a bit sadly as the girl continued to hug his right leg with great force.
"It's not a problem young champion, I understand that you have been very busy with the region lately" said the old woman taking the girl in her arms and entering the house.
"Come in come in, it would be best to tell you the whole story first" said the old lady, entering the house calmly.
And after (as always), entering the house with difficulty, Touya sat on a chair that the old woman pointed out in front of her.
The girl on her side sat on her grandmother's legs while she looked at Touya with little stars in her eyes.
'I'll have to get used to this' Touya thought with a nervous smile feeling a bit strange at the idea of being admired.
"Alina, could you play somewhere else? I think the champion would feel more comfortable like that" the old woman asked her granddaughter, which she quickly saddened.
"B-but, I want to see the champion" Alina said with little tears in her eyes causing her grandmother to enter into a dilemma.
Touya reached for a pokeball in his bag and tossed it into an open area revealing Sawk, who looked around him slightly confused.
"You can play with him, I'm sure it will be much better than just seeing me" Touya said with a calm smile making the girl run happily towards a confused Sawk.
"Ohh, how good it is to know that someone so kind is taking care of us" said the satisfied old lady to a pained Touya.
The old lady got some coffee and began with her explanation.
"You see young champion, in this town as you can see we are surrounded by a great wall, which is directly linked to an ancient legend of our town" said the old lady with a calm and explanatory tone while Touya drank coffee.
"A legend as old as Unova itself, about a giant monster that made every person who entered the forest on the outskirts never come back" said the old lady slowly as Touya listened carefully and Sawk played with the girl and carried her on his shoulders.
"The named Hollow Monster, whose footsteps and wails can be heard in the coldest nights freezing the blood of anyone who hears him" said the old lady with a serious tone making Touya's hair stand on end.
"Said legend says than that monster waits for a person to fill that void, but the question the people always ask is, what kind of void?" The old lady said finishing telling her story to a somewhat scared Touya.
"The problem is that lately their footsteps have been heard almost every night, in addition to their roars since that incident in which you saved us from the team plasma and the temperature has dropped more than normal this winter" said the old lady a little worried causing Touya to open his eyes in shock.
"I see, it seems like a more serious problem than I thought, there haven't been anyone missing right?" Touya asked the old lady with seriousness and some nervousness.
"Nobody dares to visit the forest on the outskirts, and we have almost no visitors, so there is no need to worry about that" said the old woman with a calm and comforting smile.
Touya breathed a sigh of relief and asked various things and directions about the forest and some other details about that legend.
Apparently, the forest is not the epicenter itself, but rather a place called the Giant Chasm in the center of the forest, where the monster is believed to inhabit.
Touya went to the exit just like Sawk who was playing clapping games with Alina, which she got a little sad when she couldn't play anymore.
Touya left the house and said goodbye to the old lady to begin the search for the 'monster'.
"Thank you very much for everything" Touya said with a little bow just like Sawk.
"There is nothing to be thankful for, just make sure you return safely" said the old lady a little worried.
"Come back another day mister bluy" Alina said to Sawk as she said goodbye to him with her hand so that later the door will close.
Touya and Sawk started walking towards the city exit to which Touya said.
"So mister bluy huh?" Touya said to Sawk with a mocking smile causing him to have a vein on his forehead and go back to his pokeball.
"How sensible" Touya said with a nervous smile.
Touya left the city and arrived in front of the forest, which was covered with snow, both the ground and the trees.
'If I'm not wrong, this could be the legendary one which was the original dragon shell, I hope I'm wrong' Touya thought a little worried and then took a breath, filled with courage and entered the forest.
The forest was too quiet, there were only the occasional small pokemon, which made the tension in the environment grow more and more.
Touya walked silently through the dense forest always with one of his pokeballs in hand and fully aware of his environment as he followed the directions the old woman gave him.
After going deeper, a dense mist covered Touya's sight, making the atmosphere even more chilling.
At a time like this, even the sound of the trees made Touya tense, until he reached a kind of broken bridge.
'And I thought I had already fixed them all' Touya thought when he saw the bridge with a smile trying to calm himself.
Apparently below was the Giant Chasm, in which Touya could not see anything due to the dense fog, so he decided to find another place to go there.
After exploring for a while, Touya was able to find what appeared to be an entrance to a large cave that he entered with great caution.
'I still remember when I thought that being a champion was easy, poor idiot' Touya thought a little disappointed with himself trying to think of something else.
The cave was even more desert than the forest and it was too cold, so much so that Touya appreciated having his jacket and coat at the same time.
There was a certain level of darkness in the cave, although there were also some other holes in the ceiling and walls through which the sunlight passed.
The worst idea you could have was to touch the walls, they would surely be even colder, so Touya could only walk carefully without touching anything.
The only thing that could be heard was the sound of a few drops of water, until Touya finally found a way to the Giant Chasm.
When leaving the cave, the fog was even thicker, making Touya barely see a few meters ahead and then began to explore the surroundings with caution.
Touya was able to witness that the Giant Chasm was quite extensive, there was all kinds of vegetation and it was inhabited by Cryogonal, causing him to lose tension a bit when seeing other pokemon around.
Other than this, the chasm was particularly empty, with nothing impressive to say about it except the low temperature.
After searching everywhere and finding nothing, Touya relaxed a bit and continued searching more calmly.
'Maybe he's gone, but that doesn't solve the problem of his presence' Touya thought with concern about what that pokemon could do.
After exploring for almost an hour and finding nothing, Touya was sure that the 'monster' was not even here so he decided to leave.
But while looking for the entrance to the cave, Touya could see a large footprint with three claws, which was in front of a large hole a few meters from Touya.
Touya calmed his nerves a bit and walked slowly to take a look in said hole without making any kind of noise.
Looking into the hole Touya could see ... nothing.
Touya let out a sigh of relief and just as he was going to check the print again.
"KKYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!" the great roar of a pokemon was heard through the entire forest and made Touya completely tense.
Suddenly began to snow too fast, causing a thin layer of snow to form in less than a minute covering the entire chasm without seeming to stop.
The Cryogonal that were around were also exalted and flew off to whatever side was away from the roar.
In a couple of minutes Touya had to pull his feet out of the snow many times, to the point where if he didn't pay attention he would get buried in it.
And after a few more minutes the entire chasm was completely filled with snow.
Touya was gasping for breath and was still somewhat afraid of everything that had happened, to then breathe slowly and try to calm down.
'That, was too scary for my liking' Touya thought, regaining his calm after a few seconds.
Touya looked around and saw that he could easily get out over that broken bridge from the beginning, since the snow was at the same height as this one.
Looking to the other side he could see that the fog had already spread, revealing a large hole in the mountain in front of him, which was easy to reach with all the snow.
Touya took the pokeball of Reshiram, took a deep breath and went towards the hole in the mountain to get to the bottom of all this.
After that roar, the temperature dropped even more, making Touya's breath visible again and his body starting to shake, although he wasn't quite sure if it was from the cold.
His footsteps sank into the snow and each step brought him closer until he reached that entrance.
Looking inside with caution, Touya could see that it was quite a large and open place as well as having some ice crystals around it that also illuminated the cave.
And after going a little further into that cold cave, Touya saw a large gray and light blue pokémon with yellow eyes and a kind of triangle-shaped groove on his forehead of the same color.
Said pokemon was bipedal and was 3 meters high, in addition to have small claws and the most remarkable thing was that he had a kind of wing on his left side but not on the right.
And besides all this his presence was overwhelming and seemed to freeze the air around him.
According to what Touya investigated with Cynthia about mythology, the name of that pokemon was Kyurem.
"Kyyyyy" Kyurem growled when he saw that someone was in front of him, then he looked at Touya with concentration and fixedly in the eyes.
Touya got a bit upset because of this and took Reshiram's pokeball in case said pokemon started his attack.
Kyurem opened his eyes for a moment a bit surprised, but then he just turned around and lay down on the ground with what seemed to be dissatisfaction.
'Should I be offended by that?' Touya thought, relaxing quite a bit when he saw that said pokemon wasn't looking to attack him.
The moment Kyurem saw him directly, Touya could also see what was inside that giant and creepy monster.
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
Just a void that longed to be filled, and a pokemon that just wants to feel whole again.
There was no sadness, anger, happiness, or any kind of feeling.
Just the search for something that makes him feel.
But unlike the muses of love and peace, Kyurem didn't even have a purpose in himself, he just moved by inertia, looking for something to fill that void.
Touya slowly and calmly approached Kyurem, who seemed to have no problem having him close to him, then stooped down and put his hand on his cold head causing Kyurem to open his eyes.
"Sorry for not being what you are looking for friend" Touya said a little embarrassed making Kyurem close his eyes again.
'I guess there are still things to do, I wonder, what kind of person is he looking for?' Touya thought removing his hand from Kyurem's head which was freezing.
Touya got up from the ground and asked one last question.
"Hey, could you stop going out so much at night? You scare people and I doubt it's a good idea for them to know about you" Touya said to Kyurem with a warning tone making him open his eyes for a moment and then later close them.
"Well, it's better than nothing" Touya said wearily with a shrug and then walked towards the exit.
"I wonder if that trench coat I ordered is ready, I also have to talk to Bel about the new pokeballs" Touya said rambling in his thoughts as he scratched the back of his neck tiredly and then went home.
Since then Lacunosa Town has had no more problems with the low temperature and Kyurem's footsteps were only heard on the coldest nights.
Perhaps Touya was not what he was looking for, but the appearance of him gave him hope that the person he was looking for did exist, calming his pursuit a bit.
Kyurem may find that person he is looking for, but that will be another story.
As I said before, this story will continue after I write the first arc of the next story, (which I will notify here when I publish the first chapter), and thanks mainly to LonleyTyrant and the weird guy who keeps devouring cum, he's weird but his comments are appreciated
