Chapter 18: Gym of Nacrene City: Part 2
"Come out Herdier!" Aloe said excitedly.
"Dewott you will start" Touya said to Dewott who was next to her.
"De Dewott!" Dewott said entering the arena with determination.
"The match between the challenger Touya and the gym leader begins" Conse said arriving suddenly.
They both waited for Conse's order expectantly.
"Now!" Conse said seriously.
"Dewott use-" Touya said being cut off.
"Herdier use tackle!" Aloe said energetically.
Herdier tried to hit Dewott, but Dewott narrowly dodged him.
"You must give orders with energy and strength or you will never be able to beat me" Aloe said with a smile.
At that Touya thought for a few seconds and then smiled slightly.
"Well, Dewott use focus energy!" Touya said with a clear and strong voice.
"Well done trainer, Herdier use work up!" Aloe said with a smile.
Both pokémon finished at the same time and then Aloe said.
"Herdier use bite!" -Aloe.
"Dewott use razor shell and stop him!" -Touya.
After being dragged for a few meters, Dewott was able to stop Herdier and Touya said.
"Use water gun then leer and finish him off with razor shell!" Touya said excitedly.
Dewott shoved Herdier away with water gun, then scared him off a bit with leer and landed a razor shell critic knocking Herdier unconscious.
"Herdier can no longer continue, the leader Aloe only has one pokémon left" Conse said seriously.
"I see, a frontal attack against a physical attack pokémon, something crazy but very effective" Aloe said with a smile.
"Finish him up Watchog!" Aloe said pulling the last pokémon out of her.
"Dewott use focus energy again!" Touya said quickly.
"Watchog use tackle!" -Aloe.
"Dewott block it with razor shell!" Touya said quickly.
Dewott managed to block Watchog but.
"Watchog use hypnosis!" -Aloe
Watchog's eyes began to roll and Dewott fell asleep.
"Retaliate and finish him off!" Aloe said quickly.
Watchog struck Dewott with a yellow aura around him knocking him unconscious.
"Dewott can no longer continue, the challenger only has one pokémon left" Conse said excitedly.
"Come back friend, you did a good job" Touya said with a smile.
"It's your turn Sawk" Touya said to Sawk next to him.
"Sawk!" Sawk said determinedly.
"Use focus energy and then work up!" Touya said quickly.
"Watchog use work up too, and when you're done use tackle!" Aloe said half a second later.
Watchog finished before Sawk and began running rapidly towards him.
"Sawk finish using work up and close your eyes!" Touya said quickly.
Sawk followed his orders and after he finished he closed his eyes.
"Maybe you can avoid hypnosis, but now you can't see" Aloe said with a warning tone.
"That's why the energy focus was for" Touya said with a smile.
"Sawk sweep kick at your 11 o'clock!" Touya said when Watchog was close enough.
Sawk followed orders perfectly and managed to kick Watchog up into the air.
Aloe was surprised by that scene.
"Jump up and double kick at 12 o'clock!" Touya said quickly.
Sawk jumped up and hit Watchog twice knocking him unconscious.
"Watchog can no longer continue, the winner is challenger Touya" Conse said seriously.
"Well done friend!" Touya said giving a thumbs up.
"Sawk!" Sawk said raising his right arm in an epic way and still with his eyes closed.
"Good job trainer, this kind of confidence has to be admired!" Aloe said with a smile.
"With great pride I give you the Basic badge!" Aloe said giving Touya the badge.
"Thank you very much" Touya said quietly.
"I did not hear you!" Aloe said in an intimidating tone.
"I-I mean, thank you very much!" Touya said standing upright and making a military pose.
"I like it that way!" Aloe said with a smile.
Touya took the badge and put it in his badge box and then put it in his bag.
"I'll also give you this TM, it's the retaliation TM, when a pokemon sees his partner fall unconscious in combat it takes much more force than normal" Aloe said with an explanatory and calm tone as she gave Touya a disk.
'I see' Touya thought with interest as he looked at the disc.
"We'd better let our pokémon rest for a bit!" Aloe said returning to her energetic attitude.
'It's like seeing an adult version of Bel' thought Touya as he giggled.
After a few minutes of rest and healing his pokemon with a potion, someone's cry was heard.
"Dear!!!" Vero said coming down the stairs quickly.
"What's wrong why you seem so agitated?" Aloe said in a concerned and friendly tone.
"You have to come, some guys are trying to steal the Dragonite's skull!!" Vero said very agitated.
"What?!, No one messes with my husband's investigation!" Aloe said angrily.
'They really love each other very much' Touya thought a little uncomfortable.
"Touya follow me, we have to catch those guys!" Aloe said and then took Touya and dragged him away.
"I just wanted to rest after so much excitement" Touya said in a tired tone as he ran alongside Aloe.
As they left the gym and arrived at the museum, they could see a lot of recruits from the plasma team.
"Again, don't they rest?" Touya said with annoyance.
"Hey what are you doing!?" Aloe said angrily.
"My my, but if she's the gym leader, I'll tell you what we'll do, we'll take that Dragonite skull to free the pokémon" said a recruit from the plasma team arrogantly.
"And to show that we are serious we are going to steal it in your faces" said another recruit with a mocking tone.
"Plasma!" they all yelled at the same time and then took the Dragonite skull and left.
"Hell they run away!!" Aloe said following them.
"I'm going to have a headache after this" Touya said and then followed Aloe.
