"Sister Daisy lost too!" Violet and Lily were a little disappointed. Even though they don't battle in gyms often, losing still stings.

"Oh... I can't help it. Come back, Cloyster, thank you for your hard work." Daisy returned Cloyster to its Poké Ball, and for the first time, she encouraged her Pokémon after a battle.

"Sure enough, no matter how you put it, there's no way to make up for the time we've neglected training. Ash is the winner."

Daisy looked in Ash's direction, holding the Poké Ball. This was a gap that couldn't be bridged. Even if they took things seriously now, they hadn't been cultivating and training their Pokémon at all.

No matter how hard they tried in battle, there was nothing they could do. They had anticipated losing, so it wasn't entirely unexpected.

The two sisters stepped off the floating platform, and seeing their discouraged faces, Daisy smiled and said, "Okay, don't look so sad. We can only blame ourselves for not training enough. There's no point in acting like this in front of challengers."

Daisy comforted her younger sisters and then walked toward Ash. At that moment, Ash was just bringing Pikachu and Axew back to the shore.

"You did great!" Ash squatted down and gently patted Axew on the head. This was the first time Axew had performed so well in cooperation, and Ash was in a good mood.

Pikachu and Axew were also thrilled. The two little Pokémon seemed to be competing with each other, and soon they were playfully tussling.

"Ash! You won this match, so this Blue Badge is yours. Although I've given it out many times, this time, we're truly giving it to you as Gym Trainers from the bottom of our hearts!"

Daisy approached Ash with her two younger sisters. Misty and Brock also walked over to Ash's side. Seeing this, Misty finally relaxed.

"Thank you!" Ash accepted the Badge without any hesitation this time.

"You're welcome, you earned it. Misty, you've found a great companion!" Daisy smiled as she turned to Misty.

I'm glad my carefree little sister has met someone like Ash. It puts my mind at ease for the future.

Misty blushed at Daisy's words, and Daisy, noticing this, didn't press further. Instead, she asked Misty about her plans.

"Misty, what do you plan to do next?"

"I..." Misty glanced at Ash instinctively, noticing he was also looking at her. She quickly looked down, thought for a moment, and then said, "My strength isn't enough. I want to keep traveling with Ash and the others." Whether it was out of reluctance or something else, she really didn't want to stay in Cerulean City at the moment.

"I see! Then Ash, we'll count on you to take care of our Misty. She can be quite reckless," Daisy said, looking at Ash with a meaningful glance at Misty. Behind them, Violet and Lily giggled.

"Wow... I'm not reckless! I can be helpful too, you know! Sister Daisy, why would you say that?" Misty replied, her face flushing.

Everyone chatted for a while longer. Then Ash and Brock decided to head back to the Pokémon Center first, while Misty stayed at the gym, preparing to leave the next day.

Ash and Brock returned to the Center to drop off their luggage and then went back to the gym to find Misty.

There was still some time left, so Misty decided to take Ash and Brock for a walk around Cerulean City. It wasn't convenient to carry their things around, so they left their luggage behind.

Misty, who rarely returned to Cerulean City, decided to release all her Pokémon, letting them swim freely in the pool. Many Water-type Pokémon are restricted by terrain, and without a nearby river, they can't roam outside. Now that she was back, Misty took the opportunity to let her Pokémon enjoy the water. Even Ash left his Magikarp there to play freely, and Misty watched them from the poolside, a smile on her face.

Suddenly, there was a loud crash—bang! Bang bang! Misty's expression changed instantly as a plume of smoke drifted in. The wall near the swimming pool was blown open, and the smoke continued to spread.

At the same time, Daisy and her sisters heard the commotion and hurried over. They saw that the wall had a huge hole in it, and a strange machine had burst into the gym.

"What's going on here?" Daisy and the others asked in surprise as they took in the scene.

"Hmph! Since you asked the question sincerely!"

"I will tell you mercifully..."

Two figures appeared atop the machine, partially obscured by the smoke. Just by hearing their voices, Misty's expression turned exasperated.

As the smoke gradually cleared, the figures were revealed.

"Prepare for trouble!"

"And make it double!"

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all peoples within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

Jessie!

James!

"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light"

"Give up now or prepare to fight!"

Meowth, that's right!

"It really is you guys!" Misty exclaimed as she moved to stand beside Daisy and her sisters.

"Misty, do you know them?" Daisy turned to ask.

"Yeah! These guys are Team Rocket. They're bad guys who specialize in stealing other people's Pokémon," Misty quickly explained.

"What??" Daisy and her sisters immediately became alert upon hearing this.

"Stealing is such an ugly word, don't you think? The goal of Team Rocket is to conquer the world!" James declared with his usual flair.

"That's right, Meowth! Now watch this!" Meowth said as he pulled a switch on the machine.

Boom!!!

The front of the machine opened, and a large water hose was launched from the device, plunging directly into the pool. The machine began to rumble as the water in the pool started swirling violently.

Boom boom!!!!

The water was being rapidly sucked out by the machine, creating a powerful whirlpool. The Pokémon in the pool were caught in the current, being pulled toward the hose uncontrollably.
