1.07% Pokemon: A different Ash / Chapter 1: 1. Ash

Chapter 1: 1. Ash

"The world of Pokémon! I haven't watched it in a long time."

The cozy hut is filled with dolls of all kinds of strange creatures. They are known as Pokémon, popular in the childhood memories of many children and even young people around the world.

But all of this was nothing more than fantasy. All fantasies began with the dreams of a bug-catching boy named Satoshi Tajiri, the father of Pokémon.

However, at this moment, I am truly in this world, a place I could only experience through games and anime.

Being in this world is unbelievable, and what's even more astonishing is that I have become part of the childhood memories of all those who love Pokémon.

The Pokémon series features Ash Ketchum, the main character named after the father of Pokémon! (T/N: In Japanese his name is Satoshi)

Before coming to this world, he deeply loved Pokémon. Even when it was just a black and white screen with rough picture quality, he hoped to become a Trainer in the game console.

He still loved it as he grew up. As technology advances, the gameplay becomes more intricate, and the animation style improves. Unfortunately, he seems to be getting farther and farther away from the fans.

As he grew up, time became more limited, and he began to feel that games and comics had gradually become tools of capital.

Young people who grew up loving Pokémon games faced the arrogance of capital, causing many to let go of this childhood nostalgia. Now, he is one of these people.

Even Ash's current reputation has suffered. Titles such as Pokemon releaser, Level Resetter, and Low EQ have been imposed on him.

Ash stopped loving Pokemon because of capital in his previous life.

Moreover, the pressures of real life are high, and everyone wants space to vent. Revisiting cherished childhood memories can make one feel upset and irritable.

What's the use of just complaining? Nothing changes, and he didn't want to see his favorite childhood memories being mistreated, so he gradually distanced himself from what he loved.

If you think about it, what is wrong with the character? They are just created by people and then exploited by capital.

Take, for example, the notion of Ash always being the runner-up. Often, he isn't even second place, but if he became number one immediately, how could capital continue to profit?

Watching anime plots that insulted the audience's intelligence was frustrating, but as he stepped into society, he gradually understood that the blame lay with the capitalists and screenwriters who treated the audience as fools.

It's just that he didn't expect that now he has become Ash. Does that mean he has become what he hates?

No, now that I am Ash, I am not controlled by anyone. In this new world, I want to live like the Ash in my heart. Anyway, I have nothing to worry about from my previous life.

It's just that the current Ash isn't 10 years old like in the anime; he is only 7 years old in my memory.

As for Ash's childhood, although he used to watch pokemon, he really doesn't know Ash's early experiences.

Regarding his memory of Pokémon, he is familiar with the fifth part of the series and knows little about the later plots. He is more familiar with the Mega Evolution introduced in the sixth generation.

Mega Evolution is a new form of evolution different from the standard Pokémon evolution system. It's similar to the Digimon: after evolving, the Pokémon's original condition is restored after the battle.

This new feature, introduced in the sixth generation, attracted the attention of many fans who had drifted away from the series, including him. However, he came to this world before he had the chance to explore it.

"Forget it, don't think about it so much. Just treat it as a little surprise for the future!"

He stretched on the bed. Regardless of the plot, he had already forgotten most of the earlier ones. Besides, with different souls, even the same events might not occur in the same way.

"Ash! How long are you going to sleep? If you don't wake up, you'll miss Professor Oak's summer camp!"

"Okay, got it!"

Just woke up, according to the memory of this body, he had signed up for the Pokémon summer camp held by Professor Oak.

Professor Oak is a world-renowned Pokémon researcher and an authority in the field. He compiled and collected information to create the Pokédex, which has become an essential tool for Trainers.

The Pokédex was later widely used by Trainers in various regions. In his youth, Professor Oak was an excellent Trainer, but he later gave up that role to devote himself to research.

At the same time, he is in charge of guiding rookie Trainers. He runs the Pokémon Laboratory in Pallet Town in the Kanto region and provides starter Pokémon to new Trainers who have reached the age of 10, helping them embark on their journey to become top trainers.

This time, he organized a special summer camp where children under 10 could closely interact with wild Pokémon. He would take them on a one-week wild summer camp adventure.

Many children signed up, passionate about Pokémon and dreaming of becoming trainers at 10. They were eager to get in touch with Pokémon in advance.

Ash, being a Pokémon fanatic, naturally signed up. Today was the day for the summer camp to gather.

He got up, changed his clothes, grabbed his prepared schoolbag, and went downstairs.

He met his mother, who looked just like she did in the anime. Despite being the mother of a 7-year-old, she showed no signs of aging.

Delia, like many mothers, often worried about her children. Ash, being a reckless child, required a lot of her attention, and she nagged him like most mothers do.

However, she was also the gentlest person. Whenever Ash was about to leave, she meticulously prepared everything for him, even making clothes overnight.

But when Ash did something dangerous, she would scold him severely, playing the role of a strict parent.

Gentleness and strictness coexisted in her. Perhaps because there was no father in the family, Delia had to fulfill both roles.
