[Johan's POV]
The once bumpy road to Raymond's place had significantly improved. He would have done a backflip if he wasn't carrying a cake.
Johan took his sweet time, reminiscing as he went. He smiled when he passed by the lot where the carnival would have been. Since it's the planting season already, the land was covered with rice stalks, but he could still paint a vivid picture of the rowdy carnival at night.
His first confession took place here. Well, not exactly in the carnival, but at the basketball court next to it. Russell may get mad at him, but if he would go back in time, he wouldn't change a thing.
Regardless of his undeniable attraction to Russell, Raymond would still receive his heart. As cliche as it sounded, Raymond was his fairy tale, but he was not his happily ever after. He had already accepted that.
