Chapter 275: An Outsider's Opinion

It was roughly thirty minutes before Arthur asked the Guardian for a break. During those thirty minutes, the pair got a few visits from the concerned citizens of the Phoenix Castle below them.

A few of them thought the castle was under attack, one or two going the extra mile to approach with fire lances and armour while plenty sought to put an end to the raucous fighting out of irritation.

'Honestly, you'll bring the whole turret down with that much force,' an old female phoenix from the fields had said.

'So the traitor decided to find a new way to rip the castle to pieces,' a rowdy man had spat.

'Oh dear… Is that really safe?' a concerned younger female exclaimed.

David, the temporary retainer, managed to dutifully deter the interested individuals, apologizing for the commotion and giving a full account of what was going on.

'I'll ask them to dial it down a bit or take it to the Arena,' he said to the older female from the fields.
