Chapter 97: Catching a Fox (II)

Along the streets, of the outermost suburbs of Xin Li, most of the houses had all grown old. Most likely, these houses had not been taken care of for a long time.

The streets were mostly deserted and all of the doors were shut tightly. There were hardly any sounds or life seeping from this place. A few people that were walking on the streets were elderly people. However, they were all carrying heavy piles of wood behind their back. Presumably, they were all preparing for the harsh winter that was to come in the next few months.

In addition to the villagers on the street, there were two figures who were in different sizes. One of them was taller than the other, but he was being supported by the smaller figure. It looked like the taller figure was sickly and was not able to walk properly. Both of their clothes were tattered and they looked more or less poor, but it was likewise to the other people walking on the road
