The minute Kerry pressed a kiss to Paul's chest, he let out a groan that vibrated right through every cell of her body. Her insides quaked. Her heart beat hard. One of his arms snaked behind her back and drew her closer. His other hand slid into her hair and cupped the back of her head. The simple gesture, the way he held her, was so unlike every other embrace before. In his arms, she was precious.

He bent and kissed her, soft, sweet, as if she were delicate. Just a brush of his lips had her reeling, dizzy, and feeling anything but delicate.

She edged closer, arching toward the delicious heat from his body. Her fingers trailed down his chest, reveling in the hard muscle and soft skin beneath her touch. His muscles quivered, his stomach drawing in when she reached the waistband of his jeans. His erection pressed into her belly, and for the first time in years, she just...needed.
