"Kamikawa-san, are you a child of some consortium?"
After suppressing the surprise in her heart because Ren and Kaguya were friends, Ichika teased Ren with this.
Even if they were friends, they had no connection with her.
It's better to treat Ren with the same attitude as before.
"No." Ren denied.
He was just an ordinary Esper, and the young master of the consortium had no relation to him.
"Really? I think herbal tea has a temperament like that." Ichika looked at him and commented with a smile.
"Oh." Ren didn't care about this.
"It seems you don't want to discuss this topic." Ichika realized his indifference and took the initiative to bring it up, "Is it because what I'm talking about is boring?"
"Yes." Ren admitted.
Ichika lightly punched his shoulder and couldn't help but complain, "How dare you say something like that directly? It's easy for a girl to get angry like this."
This was the first time Ichika met a guy who said that the topic was boring when talking to a girl.
"Why can't you say it?" Ren asked confused.
"It's not that you can't say it, it's just a bit painful to say it."
Facing his question, Ichika explained wisely.
"So, lying won't hurt anyone?" Ren felt he understood something.
It's not that he couldn't lie; he just didn't want to lie.
If telling the truth would hurt someone else, then he didn't mind lying.
"Never mind. Just pretend I didn't say anything. Don't put what I just said into your heart."
Seeing his serious gaze, Ichika panicked immediately and stopped him.
"Lies won't hurt anyone, but people prefer those who tell the truth, so stay the same."
"...Should I tell the truth now, or should I lie to avoid hurting you?" Ren asked.
"The truth! That's definitely the truth." Ichika emphasized.
After thinking for a moment, Ren agreed, "I understand, then I won't remember what you said."
"Are you telling the truth or lying?" Ichika asked anxiously.
Because of those words, she realized that she couldn't trust what Ren said.
"The truth." Ren replied.
Since Ichika said that, he didn't need to change and get used to lying.
"That's good."
After getting confirmation, Ichika could finally relax and not worry too much.
She was afraid Ren would start lying for some reason, and then mistakes would happen.
If Ren's behavior and habits changed like this, Nino and the others would kill her, wouldn't they?
After walking for a while, they reached their destination – the Shinomiya Performing Entertainment Office.
"This car looks somewhat familiar."
Seeing the black limousine parked in front of the office, Ichika said casually.
Because something like that had just happened, she kept looking for topics to make Ren forget what he said as much as possible.
"Um."
Ren recognized the car but didn't want to say anything.
"Let's go in."
They didn't linger long at the door, and Ichika quickly pulled him inside.
Entering the office, Ichika informed her name at the front desk, then the receptionist called, and shortly after, a woman in OL uniform came down.
"I'll take the contract first. Wait for me here."
Before leaving, Ichika came and gave special instructions.
"Okay." Ren agreed.
After that, he sat in the waiting area in front of the door and waited for Ichika to return.
Not long after he sat down, he saw Hayasaka coming out of the elevator.
Different from her appearance at school, she was wearing a black uniform and holding a document bag in her hand, looking very capable.
When he saw her, Hayasaka naturally noticed Ren.
(Why is he here?)
Hayasaka initially planned to leave directly, inevitably stopping after seeing Ren, then turning around and walking towards him.
"Good afternoon, Kamikawa-kun."
Since Ren already knew her connection with Kaguya, Hayasaka didn't intend to hide anything, she greeted him and sat down next to him naturally.
"Good afternoon." Ren replied.
"Kamikawa-kun, why are you here? Do you have any ideas to become a star?"
Seeing the black limousine parked outside, Hayasaka asked calmly.
She came here to pick up documents, and the car was specifically used to pick her up.
Therefore, there was no need to worry; the documents were already obtained, so there was no need to rush at all.
"I have no idea to become a star."
Ren denied such speculation; a celebrity career that attracted attention didn't suit an ordinary person like him.
"Then why are you here?"
Seeing him avoid the conversation about her initial question, Hayasaka became increasingly suspicious of his purpose.
"..."
Ren didn't speak, just stayed silent.
He had promised Ichika to keep her secret, so it was impossible to tell Hayasaka.
"Because you don't want to say anything, I won't ask." After saying this, Hayasaka stood up, "There's something else I have to do now, so I'll leave."
"Okay, goodbye." Ren bid farewell.
"Goodbye."
So, Hayasaka went out the door and got into the black limousine.
A few moments later, the car drove away.
Shortly after Hayasaka left, Ichika appeared with the contract.
"We can go now. I've got the contract. I'll look for someone later."
She didn't intend to sign the contract directly; she was quite cautious in situations like this.
Moreover, she was only 16 years old, so there was nothing she could do if she wanted to sign a contract.
"Good."
Ren and Ichika left the office.
After a while, the black limousine drove again and stopped in front of the office door, and Hayasaka got out of the car.
"Is it because the girl next to him came here?"
Thinking about what she saw in the car when the two of them left the office together, Hayasaka made a casual guess and went straight into the office.
Rather than making random guesses, it's better to ask directly at the office.
After all, this belonged to the Shinomiya family, and it was very easy for her to know these things.
