Chapter 3: TangLong Palace
This huge building looked like a palace or something, Soraku had noticed a huge palace in the city but never paid any attention to it. "Before we enter, I forgot to mention my name to you, it is Mengzong Ling," said the old man.
"Well, my name is Soraku Youmi," answered Soraku. The old man and Soraku enter the palace and they see a bunch of old people with a middle-aged man sitting in the front. The thing he was sitting on looked like a throne?
Mengzong smiles and announces, "I have found another personal guard!"
Soraku could feel the stares. "Are you sure he is the one? Because the other personal guard you brought in did not do the job correctly," announced the middle-aged man.
"I can guarantee he is the one, if he isn't then you can take my head TangLong," claimed Mengzong confidently.
This shocked TangLong that he would have that much trust in a stranger. "Fine, but if he fails then you get beheaded," announced TangLong. TangLong was the city lord of TangLong city which is the city the mc was in.
"Tell me, what is your name?" asked TangLong.
Soraku scratches his nose and says, "My name is Soraku Youmi."
"Soraku, since Mengzong has so much confidence in you, you are gonna become my daughter's personal guard," announced TangLong.
Soraku was confused, he thought he was gonna the personal guard of TangLong but now he is gonna have to guard his daughter. TangLong dismisses Soraku and Mengzong takes him to a room in the palace.
Mengzong gives him some clothes that make him look weird, he wears them because he can still smell the money Mengzong took out. Soraku gets out of the room and Mengzong takes him to the City Lords' daughter's room.
They arrive and Soraku knocks on the door while Mengzong runs away fast. "Hello?" announced Soraku knocking on the door.
The door opens to a giant hammer swinging towards Soraku, Soraku tanks the hammer using Golden Shell. The hammer breaks and Soraku enters the room to see a beautiful girl sleeping, she was not even disturbed by the hammer breaking.
Soraku taps the girl on the shoulder which makes her open her eyes to see Soraku, she takes out a knife and tries to stab Soraku in the neck. Soraku dodges and punches the knife out of her hand, Soraku pins the girl down using his hands.
The girl is pinned but she still screams, the City Lord comes rushing in to see Soraku pinning down the girl. "Stop! Soraku! Stop!" announced the City Lord.
Soraku stops pinning the girl. "How dare you do that to the City Lord's daughter! You should get beheaded! Dad! Behead this filthy man, he dares to touch me! He even pinned me, he should be killed!!" yelled the girl.
The City Lord explains everything and the girl calms down but looks at Soraku with eyes of malice and resentment. The City Lord gets out of the room and Soraku and the girl are left. "So, what is your name?" asked Soraku sitting in the corner.
"My name? How dare you?! Just because you are a personal guard, doesn't mean you get to know my name!" yelled the girl.
Soraku yawns and says, "Fine, but I don't really care about your name, I am just here for the money,"
The girl fumes up and decides to sleep since it was nighttime already. She covers her body with her blanket in order to not see Soraku in the corner watching her. Soraku stays up all night meditating, 5 hours in there is a thump.
It came from outside, then there was a smell that smelled like poison or sleeping gas. Soraku locates where the sleeping gas came from, it was coming from her window. Soraku silently watches as the window opens, 4 people dressed in all black enter.
"Haha! We are gonna kidnap the City Lord's daughter and ransom her to get us filthy rich!" yelled the 4 people silently. They went to grab the girl but they failed to notice Soraku in the corner. *Whoosh* Soraku quickly rushes towards the 4 people and before they noticed they were out cold.
The morning blossomed as Soraku took the 4 people to TangLong. "Haha! I knew you were the perfect man for the job," claimed TangLong laughing.
"I am just doing my job," said Soraku walking back to the daughter's room. Soraku sits in the corner and waits for the daughter to wake. She does wake up and gets jumpscare because of Soraku sitting in the corner.
"Did you stay up all night?" asked the girl getting out of bed.
Soraku does not say anything and the girl gets pissed off. "Fine, don't answer me then," said the girl angrily. The girl dresses up and begins her walk, she walked into the city buying stuff. Soraku had to carry her stuff for her.
The girl goes inside the bathroom and is kidnapped by 10 people, Soraku waited for a long time for the girl to appear but she did not so Soraku went inside to check. It looked like there was a struggle in the bathroom.
Soraku jumps out the window and uses Qi sense to find out where they went. They went into the forest, Soraku follows after them. The kidnappers stop to rest in the forest, it becomes nighttime but Soraku caught up with them.
The girl wakes up to find that she is in the forest with strangers. "How dare you kidnap me! I am the City Lord's daughter! I can have you beheaded!!" yelled the girl.
"HAHA!! You are the City Lord's daughter, I heard she had an anger issue, well, let me tell you our plan since you are not gonna be living," chuckled the kidnappers.
"What are you gonna do to me?! Help! Anybody!" yelled the girl making the kidnappers stuff a cloth in her mouth to shut her up.
The kidnappers sit down. "We are gonna ransom you, we heard your father got massive amounts of money, don't worry because if he doesn't give us the money, we are gonna send him a body part a day," chuckled the kidnappers.
The girl starts crying and begs for anybody to help her. Soraku is just in the trees watching, he decides to help her because he still wants the money. *Thud* Soraku jumps down and the kidnappers all get up while sheathing their weapons.
