Chapter 88: A Threat  

I continued to stare out into space as the runner flew to where The Retribution was waiting. The males around me spoke softly to each other, but Pure was silent.

"Are you sure that this is acceptable for you?" he asked softly, letting go of the handle he was holding on to and picked me up in his arms. Changing our positions so that he was sitting up against the headboard of the bunk that I was originally lying on, he got me comfortable on his lap.

"Of course, it is fine," I smiled up at him. I couldn't tell him the truth; that there was nowhere, I'd rather be then back on that planet surrounded by ice. But I also didn't want to be there by myself. I wanted my mates around me, and if this was the only way to do that, then that was fine.

Everything was fine.
