Chapter 1: A World Unlike Mine
Darkness. That was all he could see. He thought this was death, but then realized that he was still breathing. Slowly, he opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was the blue sky. Confused, he slowly got up from the grass that he was laying on, and looked at his surroundings. All that he saw was trees and bushes. Lots, of them. 'I must be in a forest.' thought Shinichi. 'But how did I get here in the first place?' he mentally asked. Before he could make a prediction, he heard a low growl behind him. In an instant, he quickly turned around and saw a black werewolf. He wouldn't have to be nervous about it if it weren't for it's appearance. The werewolf was black for the main part. It's hands and feet was tipped with long, sharp, white claws. It had a bone-like mask with red markings, as well as the bone-like spikes protruding from it's arms, back, and knees. And to top it all off, the size of the creature was big. Bigger than an elephant.
'What the hell is that thing?!? I've never seen a creature like that before, not even in books that are mostly about urban legends.' thought Shinichi. The werewolf then rushed at the teen at high speed. Thanks to Migi's cells, Shinichi was able to dodge the creature's attack by rolling to the side. 'That thing is fast, but not as fast as a Parasyte's attack speed.' the teen thought. The werewolf stopped, and then turned around to look at the teen. In return, Shinichi just glared at the creature, ready to dodge one of it's attacks again. But before either of them could make a move, a flash of red light and rose petals flew past them. In a few seconds, the creature was split in half. Next to the werewolf's corpse stood a young girl. She appears to be around the age of 15. The girl's skin is white with silver eyes and black, neck-length, choppy hair that gradates to dark red at the tips. She wears a black long-sleeved dress with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front and around her skirt has a red trim. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces and trims around the top and red soles. Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver brooch and is pinned to a wide black belt slung around her hips on an angle, which also carries bullets and a pouch. And to top it all of, she was currently holding a massive scythe. 'What in the actual hell?!? How is she able to carry that thing? And not to mention, move at the speed of light at the same time as well!' Shinichi yelled mentally, clearly in shock.
"Are you alright? Did the Beowolf hurt you?" asked the young girl.
'Beowolf? I've never heard of that creature before.' thought Shinichi. After realizing that it was him who she asked, he quickly regained his composure and replied. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for helping me back there."
"Your welcome!" said the young girl energetically while folding the scythe to a smaller size.
'What the hell? That thing can also fold into a smaller size as well? Just who and what is she?' the male teen asked mentally.
"By the way, what are you doing out here in the middle of Emerald Forest?" the girl asked.
'Emerald Forest? I've never heard of this place either. Just where am I?' thought Shinichi.
"To be honest with you, even I don't know. I just suddenly woke up here." replied the male teen.
"Wait, what? You just suddenly woke up here? Don't you remember what happened before you woke up?" the girl asked worriedly.
"No, I don't." the male teen answered. It wasn't a lie, since he actually couldn't remember what happened before he woke up. But thankfully, he could still remember everything and everyone. His friends, his parents, his girlfriend, the Parasyte's and most importantly, Migi.
"That is worrying! Come on, follow me. I'll bring you to Headmaster Ozpin. I'm sure he knows how to help you." the young girl said. With no other choice, Shinichi just decided to trust her. "Alright, lead the way." the male teen said. He just hoped that the girl won't lead him to trouble.
