Chapter 682: Struggling against one foe

Soldiers on the battlement watched the demonic tree with horror and the situation which seemed in their favor had changed completely. 

The mighty demonic tree came with an overbearing presence which made it hard to breathe for mere human realm fighters. If they were on the battlefield like Lu Jin and the rest, they would have passed out immediately.

The morale they gained at first was nowhere to be found. 

"I agree!" Lu Jin's eyes flared up, and his samurai avatar unsheathed two more swords, leaving only two arms inactive.

He could feel a shift in the mood and knew if they wasted much time, the morale of the soldiers would plummet even more.

Buzz!

Suddenly, a torrent of dark green flames erupted from the ground, enveloping the three-headed Cerberus. Its roar shook the heavens and as the flames dissipated, the orange fur of the beast had turned dark green, tainted with demonic power.
