XAVIER'S POV

"Xavier Nathaniel Diego! Did you get into a fight, young man?"

Fuck! I had completely forgotten about the bruises. Should have asked Ophelia to cover them up with makeup. My mum stood in the doorway, with her hands folded. She looked pissed. 

And it was scary.

Her eyes, which usually held love, were filled with fury and concern. 

"Uhh-h yeah?"

Getting into a fight would sound much better to her than getting beaten up by a gang leader who already held your daughter hostage. She shook her head in disappointment, as I had expected.

"What was the fight about?"

What was it about, genius? She knew I hated violence. Any sort of it. So, I couldn't just say that it was a simple brawl.

"Uhh, he was bullying a few juniors. I-I asked him to stop but he didn't. And then happened the fight."
