"I did it. I actually fucking did it!"

Leaping for joy, Rizz clapped his hands and feet. He strutted around the fire with his snooty grin and outstretched chest. 

Gillee was left in the dark as to what the substance was. But her heart already felt twice as light while witnessing Rizz's momentary celebration. "Then… this will heal them?" 

"Nope!" the goblin cackled with pride. "Not at all! It won't heal them at all!

"But it will help everyone cling to life for a bit longer. That will buy me more time for the actual treatment."

The mother rode an emotional rollercoaster hearing those sentences. Her heart rose to new heights of hope, only to be thrown down in despair and then be lifted back up again the next second.
