She was only 14 when they took her away, killed her family, sold her for a debt her father once accumulated. Now, 19, she finds herself sold to a fellow human, Konaka knows it's her chance to escape but first she needs to play his game, learn what she can of her new town, before figuring out a way to escape slavery forever.

He has gained much more control over his thirst but in its absence, a different longing grew. Jasper was happy for his family, all of them have found love, but his ability to feel their bonds make him long for that feeling for himself. He knows it's better if no one understands his pain if no one understands the scars his past gave him- but even so, a part of him wishes.
