All the students and even the teachers began to see if anyone stood up from the many seats in this large building.
To everyone's surprise, no one moved from their place, and the atmosphere at the entrance ceremony was completely silent.
After a few seconds, murmurs began to be heard from the students, wondering where Levi was and why he hadn't come out yet.
"Did the best student miss the first day of school?" muttered one student with indignation in his tone.
"Why hasn't he come out yet?" muttered another student as he looked around for Levi.
"Where is he?" asked Hayasaka. She was looking forward to seeing the person who defeated Kaguya.
Kaguya frowned, she was also looking to see if anyone got up, but time passed and silence followed at the entrance ceremony.
'He's a scholar like me... Where could he be?' thought a boy with blond hair and blue eyes. This person was Miyuki Shirogane one of the main characters of Kaguya-sama.
Just like Levi, he managed to get into Shuchi'in Academy through a scholarship, but his school scholarship score was one of the lowest, and he was even in a waiting line and got in by the skin of his teeth.
"Ishida Levi, can you come up on stage?" asked Adolfo again as he looked for Levi.
'Don't tell me this brat...' thought Adolfo, imagining the worst, namely that Levi had missed the first day of school.
When he asked again the atmosphere was silent again, and the result was the same the director was about to speak and finish the speech, as they could not waste any more time.
But before he could say a word, one of the doors opened. As the atmosphere was silent the metallic noise that the door made when it opened caught everyone's attention.
All the heads of both students and teachers turned to look at the person who suddenly entered.
The person began to walk to the stage at a hurried pace.
He was a boy who for his age was taller than his peers. His hair is dark black and unkempt, much of it falling in his face. His eyes are a peculiar light blue.
This was Levi, 'Shit I forgot I was supposed to give the entrance ceremony speech,' Levi thought as he started walking quickly towards the stage.
Since everyone was looking at him he knew it must be his turn to speak. Besides, before he entered he managed to hear the principal name him, so he had no doubts.
Levi didn't remember that he had to give the speech and went to the bathroom to take a shit, while he was taking a shit he remembered the speech, so he had to speed up his digestive process and come running up here.
As he walked up the stage, he felt all eyes following him. The director was in the center of the stage waiting for him.
'Is that him!?' thought Kaguya as her beautiful red eyes widened abruptly in surprise.
She never imagined that this boy who was standing at the door with a dumb face was the best student and especially that he had surpassed her.
"I'm sorry, principal. I got lost, I'm from a small town, and this huge school complicated things for me," Levi said with a hurt face, although it was a cheap excuse.
The principal looked at him with narrowed eyes, 'This smelly brat...' thought Adolfo.
The director knew that Levi lived in Tokyo, and what he was saying was a complete lie.
"It's okay. It's not the first time a student got lost in the huge fields of this school. I invite you to give the speech," said the principal, letting Levi pass his excuse and handing him the microphone.
Levi nodded and walked to the microphone, placed it at the level of his lips, and looked straight ahead. He noticed hundreds of students staring at him. He noticed the great bearing of all these students, showing that they were of the upper class.
Having hundreds of eyes on him, Levi began to get nervous. First of all, he was never used to so much attention, after all, he died drawing at home. And secondly and more importantly he had forgotten to make a speech, so he had to improvise.
'Why did I take first place?' thought Levi nervously. He just wanted to earn some extra money, not draw so much attention to himself. He knew at this point that his perfect son act had gotten out of hand.
"Cof... cof..." coughed Levi as he used his imagination to buy some time and come up with an emotional speech.
"Well... today is a great day to start this school year, let's hope that this year we all do well and accomplish our goals..." said Levi as he paused for a second.
Everyone looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue with his speech.
"That's all, thank you," Levi said as he finished the speech and walked off the stage.
The only thing that could be heard in the atmosphere were Levi's footsteps as he walked across the stage towards the staircase. No one reacted, Levi came downstairs and stood next to a student, who was looking at him with a dumbfounded look on his face.
'THAT'S IT!!?' thought most of the students outraged.
Giving the commencement speech was a great honor for all the students and to give such a poor and short speech was disrespectful to this great school.
"Well... that was a particular speech... Let's move on," said the principal with a strange expression, as he walked back to the center of the stage.
The ceremony lasted a few more minutes, and finally, all the students headed to their classrooms. The most talked about topic was the poor speech Levi gave.
"Is he the best student? He doesn't look like it," said a third-year student with disdain.
"He's late and gives that trash speech, valedictorian leaves a lot to be desired."
"At least he's handsome," said a 2nd-year student as she watched Levi walking not so far away from her.
Levi could hear some conversations where he was being criticized, but he didn't care. He wouldn't care what some brats thought of him. Once he's an internationally recognized mangaka they'll come and ask him to sign their damn manga.
'Let's see 1-C... 1-B... here's 1-A' Levi thought as he entered classroom 1-A.
He noticed that the classroom was half full and people were still arriving. What caught his attention the most was that in front of everything, at the first desk a red-eyed girl was sitting, it was Kaguya.
Kaguya was also watching him piercingly with her red eyes.
'Unbelievably, I ended up sharing a classroom with the protagonist of a super famous manga,' thought Levi as he looked away from Kaguya and searched for a free seat.
Like any good school manga protagonist, he decided to sit at the back of everything, next to the window.
'I wonder... Can I buy Kaguya-sama's manga?' thought Levi as he opened the store and headed straight for the letter K.
Levi was surprised to find himself in the same world as Kaguya, the president (who couldn't remember his name), and also people like Ruby and Aqua. He didn't see it as a good thing.
After all, they were two manga he couldn't bring into this world, and they were very successful. However, it wasn't a big problem. He had hundreds of manga at his disposal.
And anyway, these two manga were not on par with the most successful and best-selling manga of his past life.
He got to the letter K, and no matter how hard he searched he couldn't find the Kaguya-sama Love is War manga, something he already assumed. Since he had previously looked for the Oshi no Ko manga and had not found it in the store either.
'What will happen if I decide to draw it with only my knowledge, will I receive a divine punishment?' thought Levi.
Although he didn't remember the exact details, he had the main characters right under his nose and knew what the main plot was about, so it wouldn't be that hard to bring him into this world, still, he didn't plan to do it.
What if Kaguya's family, who is one of the richest in Japan denounced him? Or worse... He'd rather save himself such trouble.
While Levi was lost in his thoughts, the teacher had already arrived and started with his class.
Levi had to struggle not to fall asleep, but luckily the bell rang indicating the break before the next class.
'Damn, how boring... I'm hungry,' thought Levi as he got up and went to the cafeteria.
Even though this was a prestigious school he was looking at academic material from 12-year-olds, so it was not at all difficult for him.
The cafeteria was huge and luxurious, there were endless dishes to choose from. The bad thing was the price of these, being a school for the rich they had exorbitant prices. And Levi every yen he had went straight to the store.
Luckily for him, there was a very basic free menu, but it was enough to kill his hunger. He and one other boy grabbed this menu that was viewed with disdain by the rich kids.
The young man, the same age as Levi, who grabbed the free menu had blond hair, dark blue eyes, and long eyelashes. Levi knew instantly that this was another of the main characters in Kaguya-sama Love is War, he was the student council president, although he couldn't remember his name.
This time Levi's expression didn't change, as he had met Kaguya and mentally prepared himself when he would see another character from the series again.
The future student council president didn't see him and went with his free menu to a corner table away from everyone and all alone.
Levi didn't call him either, as he wasn't planning to socialize, his head was focused on drawing and which manga to write first.
He grabbed the free menu and left the cafeteria, in such a noisy place it would be hard to think. He headed to the rooftop.
When he got to the rooftop he noticed that no one was there, he sat down on the floor away from the door and started eating his humble menu.
As he ate many thoughts went through his mind.
Which manga to bring into this world first? It had to not be too expensive, but one that he knew was successful in his previous life. This is a problem since he never noticed how many copies more normal manga sold.
The only manga that you know approximately how many copies sold are the most famous ones: Dragon Ball, One Piece, Detective Conan, Bleach, and Naruto, among others.
Besides that, the most important thing is how to get money faster? At the rate you get money nowadays, you will be able to buy the first volume of a manga in about two years.
He wants to increase the amount of money he earns, but he doesn't know how. His parents won't increase his allowance, maybe a little, but they won't give him $200 or $300 a month, they think it's too much money for a twelve-year-old boy. If he wants to buy something at that price he should tell them.
While Levi was thinking all this he had already finished his lunch and was lying on the floor looking up at the blue sky. Slowly his eyelids began to close and in a few breaths, he was completely asleep.
...
"Hey, you! Wake up!" exclaimed a high-pitched voice as it tapped Levi's shoulder, who was completely asleep.
"Wake up!" came again the watery voice that belonged to a girl Levi's age.
"No... I don't want to... Later," stammered Levi as he tried to turn his head.
"Wake up dammit!" exclaimed the girl losing her patience and smacking Levi on the head.
"Ouch! It hurts!" cried Levi as he jumped up.
Opening his eyes he suddenly felt a bit of discomfort in his eyes from the daylight, then he could notice a girl not far from him looking at him with a frown.
"What's the matter? Didn't they teach you any manners at home?" asked Levi somewhat angrily as he wiped the drool from his mouth.
The girl in front of him appeared to be bigger than him. She could be considered attractive. She had cyan-colored hair and fair skin and wore the female uniform of Shuchi'in Academy. The most striking thing about this girl was that she wore a hat on her head.
"Bastard, I just want to help you. I already rang the bell 5 minutes ago and you're still sleeping like nothing!" said the girl in an angry tone.
'Bastard?' thought Levi, surprised that a girl who attends a high society school, has such a vocabulary.
Seconds later, he processed the information about the doorbell ringing 5 minutes ago and quickly got up, "Sorry, thanks for waking me up," said Levi as he headed to the rooftop door.
"That's the way I like it," said the girl with a smile.
"By the way, my name is Momo Ryuju," she added as she introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you, my name is-
"I know what your name is, Ishida Levi. The best freshman," said Momo interrupting him.
"It would be bad if the best student fell asleep on the first day of school and missed a whole class," she added with a smirk.
"Yeah, that's true. I better hurry," Levi said as he opened the door and yawned.
"You're not coming?" he asked as he noticed that Momo didn't move from her place.
"No, classes get boring as you go along. You'll soon understand," Momo replied as she sat down on the floor and took out her cell phone.
"..." Levi gave her a weird look but said nothing, opened the door to the rooftop, and quickly left for class.
