In addition to practicing his new spells, Hade spent the other half of his time training melee combat with Dorian.

Two-hour daily sessions lasting for three days were the compromise he had to make in exchange for the bastard keeping his rapid advancement through the stages a secret.

Hade was not too disinclined though. This was his chance to learn more about the perception skill Dorian had used to know what stage of Mortal class everyone was in.

A modifiable danger sense, it truly sounded like the stuff of legends. But the skill was real alright.

According to Dorian, it was just something he awakened with, in other words, something he could not teach.

Hade did not try to pry the information out of him. Although his relationship with both Dorian and Quinn had improved greatly over the past week, revealing all of their cards would prove fatal in the long run.
