"Scarlett, can you feel your new ability?" Kahn asked. He remained unaffected by the charm due to his strong Haki. As a seasoned fighter, Kahn knew that Haki was the ultimate counter to Paramecia's abilities. With strong enough Haki, one could negate the effects of Paramecia's abilities, either by removing negative effects or preventing them from taking hold in the first place.
Kahn was well aware of how potent the passive charm of the Love Love Fruit was, so he had already steeled himself against it. Even if Scarlett used Mero Mero Mellow on him, Kahn wouldn't be petrified.
The only thing he needed to guard against was Scarlett's petrifying attacks. Without Haki's defence, being hit would result in petrification and fragmentation, causing irreparable damage even after the petrification wore off. Thus, if a critical area was struck, the Love Love Fruit's petrification attack could be a lethal instant-death move. This made the Love Love Fruit one of the top-tier Paramecia abilities.
"Uh-huh…" Scarlett, having discarded the remaining pulp, nodded eagerly. Her beautiful face lit up with excitement. "I can feel it. This power is very strong."
"Can you use that power now?" Kahn continued. Strong individuals who eat a Devil Fruit can immediately utilize its abilities to their fullest potential, like Blackbeard with the Gura Gura no Mi and Charlotte Linlin with the Soru Soru no Mi.
After consuming the Gura Gura no Mi, Blackbeard could instantly create world-shaking earthquakes. Charlotte Linlin quickly developed the Soru Soru no Mi to a level far superior to any nuns. As for Kahn, he could use his Devil Fruit's power to its fullest immediately after consumption.
Unlike these powerful individuals, the weak need time to develop their Devil Fruit abilities step by step. If the Devil Fruit consumes a lot of energy, the user must grow to a certain level before fully harnessing its power.
For example, Trafalgar Law's Op-Op Fruit (Paramecia) requires a huge amount of physical strength. When Law first consumed the Op-Op Fruit, he couldn't utilize its abilities effectively, which is why he couldn't save Corazon.

"Any other uses?" Kahn smiled. "You don't need to avoid me. Just attack me."
"I see," Scarlett replied. She raised her hands, forming a heart shape, and released a series of pink hearts formed by light waves that engulfed Kahn.
Robin and the others watched in shock as Kahn turned into a grey-white stone statue.
"Scarlett, what did you do to Master?!" Hancock demanded angrily, surrounded by blue and white lightning.
"I... I didn't mean to. I'll undo it right now," Scarlett said, flustered, trying to figure out how to reverse the petrification.
Before she could act, blue arcs of electricity emanated from the statue. In an instant, Kahn returned to normal, as if the petrification had been an illusion.
"Is this the power of the Paramecia class?" Kahn marvelled, clenching his fists. "Even I can be petrified. What a powerful ability."
Kahn had purposely not used Haki to see if the Love Love Fruit's Mero Mero Mellow would affect him. To his surprise, it did, and he was instantly petrified. While petrified, Kahn's body control and senses were deprived, but his natural Observation Haki and telekinetic fusion allowed him to perceive and interact with the outside world. Using some Haki, he broke the petrification seal.
Despite easily breaking free, Kahn didn't underestimate the petrification. His abilities, a result of his unique Haki and Devil Fruit powers, made him an exception. Most people wouldn't have such capabilities, meaning that Scarlett's power would be insurmountable for many.
"Master, you scared us to death!" Robin scolded.
"Yes, Master, please don't be so reckless. What if Scarlett couldn't reverse it?" Viola added.
Scarlett also looked at Kahn with a mix of relief and resentment for scaring her.
"Sorry, sorry, I won't do that again," Kahn apologized sincerely, knowing he had provoked genuine concern.
After comforting Scarlett and apologizing to the group, Kahn led them out of the palace and into the jungle. There, he encouraged Scarlett to continue using her Love Love Fruit powers and guided her in developing various techniques, even naming her moves after those used by Hancock.
Scarlett, once a delicate vase, was now ready to blossom and showcase her beauty and strength to the world.
