Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Planning for fate

Within the dimly lit cell, a myriad of reactions erupted as Lucas revealed his astonishing tale of confronting a Celestial Dragon at the Naval Headquarters. Laughter, disbelief, and mocking comments filled the space. For the inmates, the idea of Lucas single-handedly taking down a Tenryubito at a location as heavily fortified as the Naval Headquarters, with legendary figures like Garp and Sengoku present, was beyond absurd.

"Why not tell us you swam to the moon while you were at it?" a prisoner jeered.

Ace, if not for his restraints, would have doubled over in laughter. "This guy's a real comedian," he chuckled.

Others were more straightforward in expressing their doubts. "If you want to spin a tale, at least make it remotely believable," one prisoner scoffed.

Yet, as absurd as Lucas's story seemed, there was a lingering unease among the prisoners. The memory of Avalo Pizarro's death, coupled with the presence of Sadako by Lucas's side, held their tongues and stopped them from dismissing his claims outright.

In the midst of this commotion, the old figure in the distant cell, who had briefly shown interest in Lucas's revelation, had already lost interest. his scarlet eyes closed, seemingly retreating back into a state of stupor.

Meanwhile, Sengoku and Magellan found themselves in an elevator, ascending from the depths of Impel Down. Magellan couldn't help but ask Sengoku for his thoughts on Lucas's credibility.

Sengoku's response was a mix of belief and skepticism. He acknowledged that Lucas's words contained both truth and falsehood, making him a more elusive and complex character than initially perceived. Sengoku also found it hard to believe that Lucas had a mere bounty of 30 million beli, considering the events he was now entangled in.

Magellan, in agreement, muttered that Lucas was indeed underrated and that there was more to him than met the eye.

However, the conversation soon veered towards Magellan's plans for dealing with the haunting at Impel Down. Magellan explained his strategy, which involved lying in ambush at the toilet—a ruse that could be easily justified due to his Devil Fruit abilities. The plan was to confront the ghost while staying longer than usual in the restroom.

Sengoku agreed to support Magellan in this endeavor. The urgency of resolving the situation at Impel Down was clear, considering the multitude of prisoners in the facility who might exploit any chaos or confusion.

Sengoku's thoughts turned to Lucas, who had proven himself capable of unsettling events on a grand scale. He knew that the death of a Celestial Dragon at the hands of Lucas would surely attract the attention of CP0, a shadowy and ruthless organization. The likely outcome was a swift and brutal execution, preventing the unraveling of the cameko's mystery.

As they parted ways, Sengoku couldn't help but reflect on the events of the day. He thought of Garp and St. Rosward, who had both seen the disturbing video. The situation was becoming increasingly complex and troublesome, and Sengoku could only hope that no further calamities would befall them.

Editor: so yeah, im planning to just keep the word video, and only replace the word videotape to cameko. I am so happy how short the chap is. I just feel lazy now a days
