Chapter 35: Rubber vs Sand
Yo! This chapter was supposed to be uploaded 8 hours ago, but the scheduled chapter bullshit didn't work again, so that's my bad! Anyway, Luffy's fight finally starts for real!! As this chapter is coming out, I'm writing the end of the Enel fight and am starting on 'Water 7' so if you have any good ideas for either of them, let me know!! I've gotten a lot of inspiration reading through the comments to the point where I'm sure a couple of you realize I used your ideas, so thanks for that!!

On the outskirts of 'Alubarna', a massive falcon could be seen soaring in the sky.
If someone looked closer, they would see that the massive falcon was a human turned into a falcon who was looking everywhere.
"Where is he?… Vivi-sama said he would be coming here…" The falcon man muttered to himself as he tried to find what he came out here for.
"MEATTT!!!!"
The falcon man whipped his head to the right when he heard a scream in that direction. He immediately set off as fast as he could move that way.
*BOOOOM*
The falcon arrived where he heard the shouting just in time to see a man crashing into the ground very hard.
"MEAT!!!… Give me meat!!… Hungry!!"
Once he landed next to the man, he heard the man's muttering. When the dust cleared, the falcon man saw Luffy deliriously muttering about meat.
He sweat-dropped when he saw the straw hat on the man's head.
'Is this really the person Vivi-sama wanted me to find?'

*BOOOOM* *BOOOOM* "AHHH!!!" "HELP!!!" *BOOOM* "DIE!!"
The civil war has started and has been going on for a couple of hours at this point. Over 1 million people are fighting each other, all intending to secure peace for 'Alabasta'.
Vivi had just got back to the Palace and was immediately captured by the real Crocodile, who had been waiting for her to arrive since Ms. All Sunday's main body came to the palace to warn him that 'Straw Hat' Luffy was most likely going to break his sand clone.
After taking a second to lament about how her clones could retain memory after being dispelled or destroyed while his sand clones couldn't, Crocodile sat in waiting to catch the princess himself and did so with ease once she showed up.
Currently, Crocodile has King Cobra held back with Ms. All Sunday's 'Hana-Hana no mi' power as the Warlord forces the King to watch as he holds his precious daughter and sole heir, Nefertari Vivi with a straw hat on her head, over the edge of the building with a massive drop below her by her neck.
"You're naive, Nefertari Vivi. Idealism can only be brought to realize by people with the ability to physically make it happen. You're also stupid for believing someone like 'Straw Hat' Luffy could beat me." Crocodile mocked Vivi ruthlessly as he dangled her above her death. When he saw how what he said didn't affect her, he smiled maliciously at her.
"You never even found out about the bomb that will blow up the entire city of 'Alubarna'!! If you did, you could've saved at least a few thousand people!! HaaHaaHaaHaa!!" Crocodile got sadistic pleasure out of the horror on Vivi's face when he told her that. Before she could say anything in response, he stopped laughing and smirked at her.
King Cobra, who had been watching the entire interaction in frozen horror, finally spoke up when he realized what was about to happen.
"See ya, princess." "WAIT!!!"
Cobra could only watch helplessly as his only daughter was dropped to her death right in front of him. Crocodile turned his smirk to him when he sensed Cobra's emotions.
"You can't change a thing, King Cobra. You're not even a king any-" Crocodile was cut off when he sensed two people flying at high speeds towards the falling princess. King Cobra looked at him oddly for his weird behavior as Crocodile whipped his head towards the two he sensed, making Cobra follow his actions.
*CAW* *CAW*
Cobra's eyes widened, and Crocodile bit through his cigar when they both saw a huge falcon flying towards Vivi at high speeds with a man on its back. The Warlord gripped his fists tight enough to turn his knuckles white when he looked closer.
Monkey D. Luffy was sitting on the falcon's back while glaring at him.
"How the hell did he get here so fast?..." Crocodile muttered to himself in confusion. The kid was just fighting one of his clones a couple of minutes ago, according to that woman.
King Cobra breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his daughter get caught right before she hit the ground.
"Thank god Pell made it in time. But who was the person on his back?..." Cobra muttered to himself, which made Crocodile scowl when he heard him.
*SIGH*
"Just in time."
Vivi stared incredulously at Luffy, who had caught her right before she hit the ground. After a couple of seconds of staring and seeing Luffy raise an eyebrow at her, she snapped out of it.
"Luffy, how are you here?! What's going on?!" Vivi shouted out in surprise once she realized who the one who caught her was. Pell went to answer, but Luffy was faster.
"Falcon gave me meat, now I'm gonna go beat up that shitty Croc!! The real one this time!!" Luffy shouted out, making both Vivi and Pell sweat-drop.
"That is not what I asked you at all." Luffy just ignored her and looked at the guy who was carrying them.
"Falcon, can you bring Vivi up to where she can yell at everyone? Also, stay with her and keep her safe. I can't because I gotta go beat up that sandy dumbass." Luffy told Pell, whose sweat-drop grew when he heard this guy calling someone else a dumbass before the falcon man nodded his head.
It was his job to protect the Nefertari family, after all, and he had already failed with the King. He won't fail with the princess.
Luffy smiled when he sensed the determination from Falcon before he looked at Vivi, who was looking at him with worry on her face. His smile widened when he saw that as he put his hand on his straw hat, which was still on her head from before.
"We already talked about this. I'll be fine, and you take care of this." Luffy said, getting a small, reluctant nod from Vivi. Luffy gave a nod to Falcon before giving Vivi one last encouraging smile.
"Don't worry, Vivi!! You can stop the war!! If they don't listen now, wait till I send that sandy bastard flying, and everyone will shut up and listen to you." Luffy said as he gave her a thumbs up.
Before Vivi could fully process the words or respond, Luffy had already jumped down and started heading toward that bastard he had a score to settle with using 'Razor', a combination of 'Shave' and 'Moon-Walk'.
'I'll kick his ass for tricking me with some shitty clone!!' Luffy thought to himself as he blew smoke out of his nose in his anger while heading back toward the castle in the air.
When Luffy got back to the castle a few seconds later, he couldn't see Crocodile, Ms. Every Saturday, or Vivi's dad anywhere.
"Damn Croc!! Stop running away!!" Luffy shouted before taking a deep breath to calm down and sense where they went with his 'Observation Haki'. He had a focused expression on his face before he suddenly smiled wide and looked to his right.
"There you are!!" He shouted out before shooting off in that direction.
"Uhh..."
Luffy appeared in a field full of ruins and looked around. He scratched his head in confusion as he didn't find anyone but could sense them below him. He looked down with a doubtful expression on his face.
"How the hell do I get underground?…" Luffy muttered to himself.

Underneath the palace, standing in front of a massive, silver, cube-shaped stone with indecipherable words on its surface, was Sir Crocodile and Ms. All Sunday. King Cobra could be seen off to the side, all skinny and dried up, like all of the moisture from his body was removed.
More specifically, Crocodile was holding Ms. All Sunday by her throat with a scowl on his face as the woman struggled against his grip.
"Don't play games with me, woman!!! I know damn well this stupid rock doesn't say shit about history, or if it does, it says history on where 'Pluton' is!! Where is it?!" Crocodile shouted out in anger.
He narrowed his eyes and tightened his grip when he sensed the woman sprout an arm covered in 'Armament Haki' on the ground behind him and try to punch him. He covered his hook in 'Advanced Armament Haki' and swung it back.
*BOOOOM*
Ms. All Sunday winced when the damage of Crocodile's 'Advanced Armament Haki' was transferred back to her main body.
"Stop doing stupid things. At this point, it doesn't matter who knows about it!! No one will be able to fight me when I get 'Pluton', and neither of you can stop me from getting it. Now stop making things hard and tell me where it is." Crocodile said with a malicious smile as he tightened his grip as hard as he could, making Robin's face start to turn purple, but she still didn't budge.
"Divine One-Sword Style: Divine Red Wave"
*FWOOOOM*
*Tsk*
Crocodile glared at the attack aimed at his outstretched arm before he dropped Robin, letting her breathe again, and dodged.
*STEP* *STEP* *STEP* *STEP*
A pair of wide eyes and a pair of glaring ones looked toward the sound of footsteps coming down the dark hallway before hearing a voice.
"Oi, Croc, that lady is gonna join my crew after I kick your ass. Don't touch her." They heard the voice say as the person talking came into view, revealing Luffy with a smile on his face and his unsheathed cutlass resting on his shoulder.
"Yo! You don't look so good, Ms. Every Saturday." Luffy said with a grin as he looked down at the woman who was on her hands and knees and clutching at her throat.
*COUGH*
"I knew you already left 'Rainbase', but how did you get here so fast? And that's not my name." Robin said after she coughed up blood while glancing up at him from the ground. Luffy frowned at that before he looked over at the mummified King Cobra, and his frown deepened.
He finally looked at Crocodile, who was scowling and glaring at him.
"Like I was just saying, it doesn't matter who knows about it!! Now tell me, woman!! Where is 'Pluton'?!!" Crocodile shouted as he turned his glare to the woman he was just choking out. She ignored him completely.
"Why are you here?" The woman asked, getting a confused look from Luffy.
"Uhh, to beat up that stupid Croc and to help you and that mummy over there," Luffy said as he pointed back at the mummified Cobra. He looked down at the woman with a raised eyebrow.
"Also, what's your real name then? You said before that wasn't your real name." Luffy asked and clarified when he saw the confusion on her face. The woman just sighed at the question before answering in a dead tone that made Luffy frown.
"My name is Nico Robin." The now-named Robin answered as Luffy frowned at her. He stared at her for a few seconds before letting out a sigh.
"I can tell by the look in your eyes that you wanna just die in this hole, but I won't let you do that, I want you in my crew," Luffy said as he turned back towards Crocodile, who was livid at being ignored. The Warlord glared at Robin like she killed his family.
"Shut up, you fucking idiot!! Where is it?!! The battleship that can destroy an island with a single shot!!! WHERE IS 'PLUTON'?!!" Crocodile shouted out, almost in hysterics.
"Gomu-Gomu no..."
Crocodile's eyes widened when he saw a twisted, flaming fist suddenly appear right in front of his face.
"HAWK RIFLE!!!"
*BOOOM!!!*
Crocodile was launched back by a flaming, twisted punch covered in 'Advanced Armament Haki' into one of the pillars holding the ceiling up, smashing straight through it.
Luffy looked back to Robin, who was looking at him in shock, with a smirk as his twisted flaming arm snapped back to its normal size.
"Can you help Vivi's dad while I beat up this idiot?" Luffy asked with a smile, and before she could answer, he shot off in the direction he sent Crocodile flying.
*COUGH* *COUGH*
The Warlord coughed up blood into his hands before looking up at the rookie, who was a lot stronger than Crocodile thought he was.
Luffy appeared in front of Crocodile, who was pushing himself to his feet after shaking off the flaming punch.
"You know, guys like you are the worst," Luffy said, making Crocodile halt his next move in bewilderment. He silently stared at the kid and waited for him to continue. Luffy smiled when he saw that.
"I don't really get it, but you've been here for twenty years just so you can get some strong weapon that can destroy an island?" Luffy asked to confirm, to which the Warlord raised an eyebrow and nodded. He was already going to kill the kid, so who cares if he knew? Luffy scowled at him when he nodded.
"That's what weaklings do. You want to rely on strength that isn't your own, you don't sail the seas, and you don't have a dream!! You just want power!! You piss me off, you stupid Croc!!" Luffy yelled out, pissed off. This guy reminded him of the guy from Usopp's home island.
A coward who abandoned the sea.
Crocodile was livid by the end of Luffy's rant. He had long crushed his cigar in his teeth, and his hands were clenched into fists so tightly you could hear his knuckles popping. Luffy smirked at him when he saw that. They both know why that made him so mad.
The truth can hurt much more than any lie.
Before Crocodile could respond, Luffy covered his arm in a lot of 'Armament Haki', brought it up to his mouth, bit into it, and blew air into it.
"Gear 4th"
Crocodile scowled at the cloud of steam that covered Luffy. He started condensing sand in his hand in preparation for what was to come, but he couldn't help it when he saw his opponent's new form.
*BOING* *BOING* *BOING*
The amused smirk that grew on Crocodile's face when he saw the inflated form of his enemy pissed Luffy off. Stupid Croc!!
*CREAK* *CREAK*
That amused smirk turned to confusion when Luffy's inflated hand started folding in on itself.
"What the hell do you think you'll do like that?" Crocodile asked, getting a scowl from Luffy in response before Luffy's hand snapped in on itself.
*SNAP*
*BOOM*
Before Crocodile could continue to mock Luffy's appearance, his pupils shrunk when he completely lost sight of Luffy for a second before he appeared right in front of him with his folded hand.
"Gomu-Gomu no..."
Crocodile hastily covered his face in 'Advanced Armament Haki', but with Luffy also using the same on his fist, as well as the added flames and force from uncompressing his arm, the result was obvious.
"Roc Kong Gun!!!"
*BOOOOM!!!* *CRACK*
"FUCK!!" Crocodile swore as he felt his nose break from the punch while he was uncontrollably flying in the air. Before he could reorientate himself, Luffy was already to his right, with his feet compressed in on themselves.
"Rhino Schneider!!!"
*BOOOOM!!!* *COUGH*
Luffy hit the Warlord with a flying drop kick in the side that made the man cough up spit and blood. Crocodile whipped his head around to see Luffy with both his arms compressed into themselves.
"Gomu-Gomu no Leo Bazooka!!!"
*BOOOOOM!!!* *BOOM* *BOOM*
Luffy slammed his open palms into Crocodile's back before the man could turn around or mount any defense, sending him flying through two of the pillars that were holding the ceiling up.
Luffy was about to charge again, but a massive wall of sand covered the entire underground area, blocking Luffy from Crocodile. He scowled at the wall of sand before he bit into his inflated arm and blew into it.
*PANT* *PANT*
Crocodile was doing his best to catch his breath after getting the shit beaten out of him and using such a large move right after.
'This damn brat is too fast!! I need more sand!!' He thought to himself as he gathered up as much sand as possible to strengthen the wall to buy more time.
"Gomu-Gomu no Culverin!!!"
*BOOOOM* *TING* *TING* *TING*
Crocodile's thoughts were broken by the fist that smashed through his wall of sand and headed in his direction as it rapidly changed directions. The Warlord clicked his teeth in annoyance as he jumped up to dodge.
*BOOOOM*
"You pesky brat!!" Crocodile shouted as the ricocheting fist slammed into the ground where he was standing.
His anger turned to a mix of horror and confusion when his sand wall fell, and the stretched-out arm snapped back to its owner, whose other arm had become as huge as a Giant's arm, covered in flames, and was folding in on itself.
"Gomu-Gomu no..." *SNAP*
Crocodile was caught off guard when, even with that massive fist, Luffy disappeared in a burst of speed and reappeared below him before the Warlord could reach the ground. He heard Luffy's fist snap in on itself before it unwound unbelievably fast.
"Roc King Kong Gun!!!"
*BOOOOOOM!!!!!!*
The giant flaming fist extended into Crocodile's stomach and sent him up towards the ceiling.
*BOOM* *CRACK*
Crocodile's pupils shrunk when he heard the ceiling above him crack as he was getting slammed into it. He tried to gather more 'Haki' to protect against the attack, but he would never make it in time.
*BOOOOOOOOM!!!*
The ceiling and the ground above it were destroyed, sending Crocodile flying uncontrollably into the air while casting the glow of the sunlight onto Luffy's body.
Luffy glanced to his right to see Robin and Vivi's dad, who wasn't super skinny anymore, looking over at him in awe. He grinned at them before he compressed his legs in on themselves and used his advanced version of 'Moon-Walk' he could use in his 'Gear 4th'.
Over a million people who were fighting all stopped when they heard a massive explosion near the center of the battlefield. They all looked over and up to see what looked like the 'Desert King' Sir Crocodile, flying up at high speeds uncontrollably.
They then saw someone else shoot out of the hole Crocodile made in the ground with an inflated body and flames covering his hands.
Vivi, who was on top of the clock tower that overlooked the battlefield and shouting in vain to stop the fighting, widened her eyes in shock when she saw this scene.
Thankfully, she had found the bomb Crocodile talked about by chance when Pell took her up here so she could have a place where everyone would hear her.
Once they realized they couldn't stop the countdown, Pell gained a look of steeled determination, turned into his 'Falcon' form again, grabbed the bomb with his talons, and flew up immediately and continued going up no matter how much Vivi screamed at him to stop.
Crocodile collected all of the sand from the underground area and the above-ground battlefield he could to create a massive Tsunami out of sand from his spot in the air after he stabilized himself.
"Sables: Enorme Tsunami!!!"
The Warlord throws the massive wave of sand down at Luffy, who just grinned wider when he saw the attack before shooting towards it.
His grin turned into a surprised grimace as the sand reached him much faster than he thought it would. Vivi could only watch in horror as her friend was swallowed up by the massive sand tsunami.
"LUFFY!!!!" Vivi shouted as she watched Luffy disappear behind the massive wave of sand. Crocodile smirked when he heard that as he landed on the ground before he slammed both his hands on the ground.
"Sables: Grand Enterrement!!!"
*BOOOOM!!!*
As Vivi watched in horror, the members of the rebel and royal armies in awe, and Crocodile in malicious satisfaction, a massive pyramid that covered almost a third of the huge battlefield was created from the sand tsunami with Luffy inside of it.
"You were strong, 'Straw Hat', but not strong enough. Now, there isn't anyone who can stop me!! HaaHaaHaaHaa!!" Crocodile said as he stared at the pyramid of sand that held what he thought was his now-beaten opponent.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
Crocodile raised an eyebrow when he heard and felt attacks inside his 'Sables: Grand Enterrement'.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *CRACK*
He widened his eyes in alarm before he jumped back when he felt his sand getting turned into glass. Right after he jumped away, the sound of glass cracking could be heard.
"Gomu-Gomu no Roc Kong Gatling!!!"
*BOOOOOM!!!*
Crocodile widened his eyes when the ball of sand turned to glass and shattered. He grits his teeth hard when he senses Luffy fly out of the explosion.
*BOOM*
Luffy dropped to the ground hard, kicking up a huge dust cloud that the Warlord scowled at.
"I thought you already knew weak shit like that isn't enough to beat me, you stupid Croc!!"
The cloud of dust cleared to reveal Luffy, not in 'Gear 4: Bounceman' anymore with his cutlass 'Ace' unsheathed, covered in 'Advanced Armament Haki' and flames Crocodile could feel from here. Crocodile scowled when all he could see was a few small cuts on Luffy's body.
"I'll make you eat those words, you little shit!!"
"Bring it on, you shitty alligator!!"

ntc15 Yo! 35th chapter done! Luffy beat the fuck outta Crocodile when he finally saw the real one for the first time. Ran the combo on his dumb ass before he could blink. His bitch ass had to put up a wall to stop the ass beating he was getting and got sent through the fucking ceiling for it.
Anyway, this chapter was fun as hell to write and the next one has been too. I had a lot of fun writing the last couple chapter with everyone else's fights, but I have to say I like writing Luffy's fights the most. I can't wait till Luffy gets 'Gear 5th' so I can say shit like 'Luffy turned whoever into a pancake and hit him with a baseball bat covered in 'Conquerer's Haki' that he just spawned in.' and that shit would make sense!!! I can't wait!!
