Chapter 101: Strawhats vs Flying fish riders
"Gotcha!" Luffy grabbed onto one of the flying fish and pulled himself up.
The flying riders started to drop bombs on the ship but Sanji easily deflected them.
"Throwing bombs at the ladies! I'm not going to let you live after that."
"Ah!" Shouted Chopper. "Luffy is hanging on a flying fish!"
Vivi rolled her eyes. Why does their Captain always have to do things like that? She then looked at Usopp, who was standing there, looking at the sky with fear.
"Usopp!." She got his attention. "You are the sniper of this crew. You have a cannon right over there" She pointed. "Get to sniping!"
This seems to wake him up. "Right!, leave it to me!" Usopp said.
"Zoro!, lower the sail, is going to get in the way" Ordered Nami.
"Weee!, I'm flying!" They heard Luffy scream while riding the fish.
"This is not going to end well… Zoro, prepare to retrieve our Captain!" Said Vivi.
"What do you mean?" Zoro looked up where Luffy was flying, but he soon understood what she meant as all of the flying fish returned underwater.
"I guess they can only fly for a short time before having to return to the sea. They are still fishes after all." Explained Robin.
"Oh no!, Luffy!" Chopper jumped into the water to save the Captain.
"I'll help too!" Brook was also about to jump when Vivi stopped him. "Are you all idiots?!. None of you can swim!."
"I'll get the doctor." Said Franky while Zoro jumped into the water to help Luffy.
"Now is our chance to get Camie!"
"Yeah!"
"Let's get her!"
The trio of fishmen from the Makuro crew shouted.
Vivi looked over and realized that Luffy had left the mermaid by herself at the enemy base before he went to catch a flying fish.
"Sigh…Luffy." She shook her head in disappointment.
Vivi pointed a finger at the Fishman to the left. "Bullet."
A small mass of compressed water shot out with incredible pressure. It went right through the head of the Fishman, piercing his skull and brain, killing him instantly.
'They are a lot stronger than the ones I used back at Enies Lobby. The idea of compressing the water to create heavier and denser bullets does increase the penetrative power quite a lot. But what would happen if I keep compressing the water?'
She knew that this was not the moment to ponder on those things. Vivi pointed her now regenerated index finger to the fish on the right. "Bullet."
After the second one fell, the oldest brother and leader of the gang, Makuro himself, realized that his two brothers had just died in an instant.
"What?!. What is going on?. What happened to you two!"
Before He even understood what was going on, a third water bullet ended his miserable life.
Camie stood there in shock. She was very scared when she saw the three fishmen brothers come out of the water, but then, they all stopped moving and sank back into the water.
"What happened?" She said with confusion.
Zoro had finally gotten around to freeing Hacchi from his cage.
"Hacchin!" Shouted Camie.
"Camie!" The octopus man went to hug the mermaid.
"Thank goodness you are okay, Hacchin!" Said Camie.
"I'm sorry, I thought they had taken you and Pappag and I was trying to save you!" Said Hacchi.
"Ah!" Cried Camie. There was a flying rider approaching them from above at great speed.
Hacchi protectively stood in front of Camie but before the rider got even close to them, he was sliced up by Zoro.
"Roronoa!" Exclaimed Hacchi.
"You need to watch yourself," Said Zoro. "You guys go back to the ship. Leave the rest to us."
"Thatk you so much, Roronoa Zoro. I'm very sorry for what I did back then…" Said Hacchi.
"There are more coming!" Shouted Usopp, bridging Vivi's attention back to the skyes.
"Take this, assholes!" Usopp fired the cannon that Franky had placed on the deck for him. The cannonball explodes on impact, decimating the rider and the fish.
"Did you see that?!" Exclaimed Usopp.
"You are amazing!" Cheer Chooper.
Vivi saw a big one coming down. Not only the fish but the man riding was much bigger than normal. The man was wielding a big metal club.
"There is a really big one coming!" Shouted Chopper.
"It doesn't look like he is going to steer. Is this a kamikaze attack?" Wondered Sanji.
"Catch the fish." Said Vivi. She then aimed her arm at the man's upper torso. " Water Cannon!"
The water shell impacted the man on the head before exploding. It was hard to see the exact effects of the attack but the big man fell from the fish and landed on the water with a loud splash.
"Take this!" Sanji kicked the fish to one side and managed to make it miss the ship by a short margin.
Before the fish could sink back into the waters, two elongated hands grabbed onto it and bought it back onto the ship's deck.
"This will be our dinner tonight" Exclaimed their Captain.
There were still dozens of flying fish riders above their heads.
"There are still so many of them! Do we have to fight them all?" Said Usopp with dread.
"Ah!, I wanna ride one of those again!" Screamed Luffy.
"Would you stop with that?!. You could have drowned before!" Shouted Nami at him.
"Ah…what am I playing at?" Brook stood up. "My first battle as a Strawhat…It would be a disgrace if I don't help at all!."
Brook got on top of the mast before jumping into the sky like he was exempt from gravity.
"Is about time we reduce those numbers!. It won't be much but observe carefully"
"Whoa!" Cried Luffy.
"What an amazing jump!" Said Chopper.
Brook was in the air, surrounded by flying riders.
"Nemuriuta flan!"
Vivi heard some music and felt a drowsing sensation but managed to fight it off.
Luffy and Chopper were not so lucky as they started to fall asleep. And neither were the flying riders or their fish who started to fall from the sky.
"Excuse me!" Said Brook as he started to go around the falling men and finish them off with his sword skills.
