Chapter 47: Whiskey Peak
While they were sailing, Alex and Van Augur were having shooting competitions whenever they got the chance. They would shoot anything like bottles or boxes, but Van Augur always lost to Alex and he swore time and time again that he would beat Alex one day. If they weren't doing any competitions, then they would be at the training room where they were strengthening their bodies and polishing their techniques.
While he was training his Devil Fruit, Alex discovered that his Devil Fruit was different from what his pops told him. He found out that he could only summon four extra pairs of arms but found out in a new Devil Fruit Encyclopedia that his fruit is an Asura Fruit that would get different transformations. For the first form, he would just have extra arms and that would be it. For the second form, he would have a partial transformation, which would have marks appear on his body that would increase his body's strength, speed, endurance, etc. a whole level. For the third form, the marks would start glowing and would increase again a whole level. For the fourth form, he would manifest a golden armor that would increase his defense by a lot while only increasing his offensive properties by a little only. And for the fifth and final form, he would finally get his 'Berserk Form' which is a double-edged sword because while he is in this form, his body will get damaged the longer he uses it. Berserk Form is when the marks on his body would glow red with his armor and would push his body past the limit. And since he is human and not a God, his body cannot hold the energy and in turn, would only damage his body. This fifth stage would be his trump card and would only use it when the situation is dire. Currently, he has only mastered half of the second form and would take a long time to master the second form and much less start mastering the third form. 'I would need to train my body harder so that when using the fifth form, my body wouldn't get damaged as much.' thought Alex as he didn't want to die after using his berserk form. (A/N: Most of you didn't like the fruit so I changed it and the idea for the fruit was from the people who commented what powers he should get. So thank you for your suggestions!)
When the crew finally made it to Whiskey Peak, they saw the people who were excited to receive them and tour them around their island. They played along with their game and would just deal with them later when the people decided to act against them. "Welcome to Whiskey Peak! Would you like to try our food? Our restaurants and bars serve a lot of good food, so please try them." said a man who was wearing a bowtie and a long-sleeved shirt. "We will be trying everything this island will be offering later, but we would like a place to rest first Mr..." Alex said as he was observing the people around them and thinking 'These people look harmless but they are a very ruthless group of bounty hunters.' the man replied, "Oh pardon me for my manners, my name is Jingo and I am the leader of Whiskey Peak." as he was leading the crew to the nearest inn to give them their much-needed rest.
When they went inside the inn, they quickly got their rooms and held a meeting in one of their rooms without the knowledge of the people in the inn. "What do you think guys? I think this place is really a den of bounty hunters." Alex said as he told the crew about what he noticed with this place. "I agree with captain. It seems the rumors were true that this place lures in pirates for their bounties. The town seems too inviting of pirates and to be honest, their acting is not believable." added Franco as he also noticed that the people were acting in order to let them lower their guards. "Whatever they're planning we'll just destroy them. Right, Captain?" asked Fraulein as he looked ready for a fight. "Yeah, we just have to be ready for them when they start to drug our food or drinks." replied Alex as they went back to their rooms to prepare for a possible massacre.
The moon was shining brightly as night descended and the Asura Pirates are now going to have dinner and possibly a fight with all of these bounty hunters. That is if they try to harm them which would most likely happen because of their bounty which very tempting for bounty hunters. Alex and his crew are now eating at a restaurant while drinking and they all felt something was wrong with the food. They all look at each other and nodded as a sign that they would play along with them and become 'drugged' so that they would know who was behind all of this.
As they were eating, there were villagers reporting to two people and were saying "Mr. 9, Ms. Monday, the Asura Pirates have arrived and are now at the restaurant eating the food." said one of the villagers to which Mr. 9 replied, "Good, it will be a matter of time when they will fall asleep and we will kill them." the villagers just nodded and left to check on the status of the mission.
After a few hours, Alex and his crew are now done eating and are now acting that they were feeling a bit sleepy and took a nap on the tables they were eating at. The villagers saw this and gave the signal to subdue them and take them to Mr. 9 and Ms. Monday. They didn't notice that Alex was smiling as they were being carried to their secret base. 'Be prepared, whoever you are. I will personally take care of you as no one who plots against my family ever gets out unscathed.' said Alex in his mind as he was being carried by two people.
