Chapter 15: Garp Escape, and Rokushiki

Hearing Garp say one familiar name after another, John's heart skipped a beat: they were all familiar big names from the Pirate King anime, and this was the first time he'd heard anyone talk about those people's names in this world.

From Garp's description, he could also tell that all those future great sea pirates had already begun to shake the sea with glory.

Shiki's Golden Lion was the most powerful one, which John also knew about. Golden Lion was indeed the next Grand Master of the Sea after Rox, and if he hadn't lost to Roger a few years later, I'm afraid Roger wouldn't have had a chance to reach the rank of Pirate King.

Many of the most famous sea pirates these days are members of the former Rocks Pirates, so you can imagine how powerful the Rocks Pirates were back then.

If not for the death of Rox himself and internal instability, this pirate group could potentially threaten the rule of the fleet and the world government.

The next few people listened as Garp constantly bragged about how wonderful he was and told interesting stories about the sea. All three except Dragon were listening with great interest, and Garp got more and more excited as he spoke.

When the food was served, they realized that Garp had actually ordered a full table of two dozen dishes, all of which were even larger portions.

This was usually enough to feed a dozen people, and after the food was served, it was eaten by several people at a very fast pace, which showed John how bottomless their bellies were.

"Dragon, John boy, Borsalino boy, Sakazuki boy, I'll go and get some rest, I'll tell you something more interesting when I come back later."

Garp did not return five minutes after this departure, nor after ten, and even less so after twenty.

Dragon's face had already turned blue-purple as he shouted indignantly, "I knew he was unreliable, I didn't think he would want to lose his reputation."

All three people were also stunned that Garp, who just looked so arrogant and open-minded just now, had actually escaped from under the table.

"Indeed, what a grandfather is, what a grandson is, such a thing Garp can really do."

Straw Hat Luffy was raised and trained by Garp, and if he raised such a character, then Garp was no better.

The first meeting with the legendary admiral did not disappoint, but it was really funny.

The ugly-faced dragon took out all the money he had with him, but it wasn't even half enough, so he ended up having to borrow some from John to pay for the food; Garp was not ashamed to eat the food of others, but he still has a sense of shame.

The first thing you need to do is to understand well what you are getting into.

Since Garp made them waste a lot of money, John and the others had little desire to continue walking, and after a random walk, they returned to their dorm.

"From now on, I will teach you practical fighting techniques."

It was another new morning when Zephyr stood on the podium and said the words that all the students were waiting for.

John's spirit was shaken, he also waited a long time, the previous lessons were important, all kinds of theory, naval combat tactics and so on, but this world was ultimately more about personal combat strength, so naturally he was more interested in learning practical combat skills.

If during the theoretical classes there was some kind of hack work, then at the moment everyone was looking impatiently at Zephyr.

"You are all excellent soldiers selected from every branch and headquarters and I have watched you before, the foundation is quite solid and you all meet my minimum standards, so the next thing I am going to teach you is Rokushiki.

As soon as he heard it was Rokushiki, those who knew what it was became more serious, and so was John. When he watched anime, he always thought that Rokushiki was the most basic move of the Marines.

But when he came to this world, he realized that the Rokushiki were not what he thought.

The demands in Rokushiki weren't really low, even the head of the branch base, like his father, didn't learn all the Six Techniques, only mastered Tekkai and Kami-e.

He learned two of them from his father, and now that he had the opportunity to learn all six, John naturally looked forward to it.

He knew better than anyone that even though the Rokushiki were the backbone, there was a stronger Six Kings Cannon above them, and if he could master the Six Kings Cannon, he would be able to reach the level of a Marine headquarters officer at least.

"I am sure that many of you know what Rokushiki is, and most of you have even come across it, but I want to tell you this: whether you have studied it before or not, forget everything that you have been taught before, and remember the teaching methods that I have taught you."

Zephyr knew that all of these students were more or less familiar with Rokushiki, but he was also sure that the vast majority of them were familiar with Rokushiki that were not correct, and in order to teach them, he had to teach the most correct ones. methods, and he had confidence that he could do it.

"These are the most important physical techniques in the Navy, the ones that allow you to transcend the limits of human physical capabilities. It is a physical art that we all must master."

Soru, geppo, tekkai, kami-e, shigan, and rankyaku, these six moves together are called Rokushiki. The strength to fight, and this is a physical technique that headquarters admirals must master."

"First we will start with litter......."

In the blink of an eye, another month passed, during which time Zephyr explained basically six styles of fleet, which is basically a training ground for real practice, after completing the main points, let John and the others practice on their own, he was on the side to correct.

  "Shigan!"

  "Tekkai!"

John gathered all his strength into his index finger and struck with lightning, throwing it at the Doberman who was training against him, and the Doberman met the blow with an iron block, amazingly not stepping back after the push.

  "Rankyaku!"

The Doberman quickly counterattacked the rankyaku, and John instantly moved to the other side at high speed using "litter" and attacked again with a continuous flurry of finger strikes.

The two men attacked and defended each other with six positions and fought for a long time before stopping.

The constant use of the six positions left John tired, although his physique was much stronger, and the Doberman who fought him was even worse than him, puffing with fatigue.

"John, I mastered Shigan, Sora, Tekkai and Geppo so quickly, I have only been able to work out Tekkai and Rankyaku so far, I haven't even started the rest yet."

The Doberman was depressed, we all started learning at the same time, even he was older than John, but not only was his learning ability not as good as John's, but now he could barely surpass John in physical skills.

John said "I'm only at the beginning stage too, it's still a long way to the real mastery, look at Sakazuki, Borsalino and Dragon, they all mastered Rokushiki at the initial stage, and we are still just starting to master them here."

Doberman said: "They are all monsters, there is no comparison, their physical fitness is much better than ours, naturally, they will learn Rokushiki faster than us, in my opinion, you are not worse than them, you are younger, as long as your physique goes up, the rest is not a problem."

Doberman, also known later as Vice Admiral, had an extraordinary future and was currently in the same class as John.

To practice Rokushiki, repetition was not enough, so Zephyr asked John to practice sparring, and so John became a Doberman's partner.

The two great monsters Borsalino and Sakazuki also became opponents, and Dragon's opponent was a modern student who ate a Zoan-type Devil Fruit.

In a little over a month, John has mastered four styles, and the remaining two are being perfected, so it probably won't be long before he can use them initially.

Other than the two monsters, Borsalino and Sakazuki, and the ever-hidden Dragon, John's progress in mastering the six sea forms was one of the best.

After Zephyr's lessons, John was truly enlightened. His previous training for more than ten years was effective but there were many problems, and after Zephyr's guidance, although there was not much progress for some time, over time, he would definitely achieve twice as much success as before.
