Chapter 14: Chapter 14 - A Journey into Isshin Dojo

I breathed a sigh of relief, and somehow my body had relaxed as if I had just fought against powerful opponents after being allowed to train in swordsmanship at Isshin Dojo by Master Koshiro.

Master Koshiro took me to a dormitory located near the Dojo. As we arrived there, my gaze was immediately drawn to the large and clean Dojo in front of me. The building looked strong and sturdy, giving an impression of grandeur and bravery to anyone who saw it.

We entered the dormitory, and I was greeted by the sight of Isshin Dojo students practicing their strikes with wooden practice swords. They appeared united and enthusiastic, tightly gripping their swords with both hands, swinging them up and down as if striking a target in front of them. Some were also practicing in the meditation room, attempting to calm their minds and sharpen their concentration.

After Master Koshiro and I arrived at the Dojo, the students paused momentarily from their training.

I was introduced to the students residing in the dormitory. They were friendly and polite, with firm smiles and determined gazes. They introduced themselves one by one, and I tried to remember everyone, as these people would become my fellow disciples.

Master Koshiro introduced me as a new additional student in the Dojo. I greeted them with the most polite smile I could muster.

Master Koshiro then led me to the room that had been prepared for me. The room was simple but comfortable, with a neatly made bed, a study desk, and a shelf to store personal belongings. I felt fortunate to have a place to stay here, in an environment full of passion and dedication.

After being introduced to the students and arranging my personal belongings in the room, I felt slightly awkward but also excited about the new environment in the dormitory and Isshin Dojo. I looked around and found an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and dedication in every corner.

Master Koshiro noticed the mixed expression on my face and smiled. "You must be feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of this. There's no need to rush to adapt. Here, we give time for newcomers to adjust to the new environment. Today, just rest and get to know your surroundings."

I nodded, feeling relieved to hear that. Hunger began to strike after the long journey, so I planned to find some lunch. Master Koshiro noticed my confusion and gave directions. "Behind the dormitory, there's a small eatery that serves delicious food. You can try having your meal there."

I expressed my gratitude and promised to return before the morning training session. Master Koshiro smiled and nodded. "Rest well tonight. Tomorrow morning, your training will begin. Prepare yourself."

I returned to my room, feeling the comfort within this space, giving me a sense of tranquility and peace that I had long forgotten. Sitting at the study desk, I reviewed some instructional materials provided by Master Koshiro earlier. I was excited to embark on the journey of learning and training at Isshin Dojo.

After finishing with the study materials for the next day's training, I stepped out of my room and observed in awe the students who were still diligently practicing. They swung their wooden swords with unwavering enthusiasm, tirelessly striving to improve their swordsmanship skills.

I realized that I had been unconsciously watching them, captivated by their dedication and commitment. When they finally finished their practice in the evening, they gathered with enthusiasm to prepare for dinner.

Without hesitation, I approached those who were preparing dinner. They welcomed me warmly, their smiles reflecting strong spirit and determination.

"My fellow disciples, I am impressed by your dedication in training. You truly inspire me!" I sincerely exclaimed.

They looked at me with determined yet friendly gazes, respecting my presence. One of

them, whom I remembered as Riku, a 10-year-old boy, responded enthusiastically, "Thank you, new friend. We train hard because we want to become the best in swordsmanship. Every effort and practice is part of our journey towards true mastery."

I nodded in understanding and continued, "I'm glad to join you all at Isshin Dojo. I hope we can support and grow together as fellow disciples," I said nervously.

Suddenly, Master Koshiro appeared among us, his smile warm and wise. "All of you have shown exceptional spirit and perseverance in your training. I am confident that you will become skilled and wise swordsmen."

The students cheered in agreement, and Master Koshiro continued, "Now, after a day of training, you need to rest well to start the morning practice. Take care of your health and keep your minds sharp. There will be much more to learn and master tomorrow."

We all nodded with great enthusiasm, respecting Master Koshiro's words. As the sun set and the atmosphere grew calmer, we left the training area and headed back to the dormitory to rest.

In the simple room prepared for me, I reflected on the day that had just passed. I felt fortunate to be living in an environment full of passion and dedication like Isshin Dojo. This was the beginning of a challenging journey, but I was confident that with determination, perseverance, and hard work, I would become strong enough to endure in this world and pursue my aspirations.

With a calm mind, I lay down on the neatly made bed. Facing a hopeful morning, I felt optimistic and ready to begin the upcoming morning training.
