Chapter 11: Chapter 11 - Choosing Destiny: A Determined Journey in the World of One Piece

After admiring the breathtaking beauty of the sky and ocean, I decided to return to my resting quarters. It wasn't that I wanted to be lazy or anything, but my body, currently a four-year-old child, was still weak from days of hunger. It was truly a miracle that I hadn't starved to death in that prison cell.

So I walked back to the resting quarters and lay down on my bed, unknowingly contemplating what I should do next.

My thoughts drifted to Luffy's adventures with the Straw Hat Pirates that would unfold in about ten years. I couldn't just wait idly without doing anything, anticipating the start of the main story that was to come.

Then, I thought about the Marines. Should I follow Coby's original path and join the Navy? I pondered this decision for a moment, unable to come to a conclusion.

I was grateful to the Marines for saving me from my initial suffering, but thinking about the limitations of being in the Navy, I began to struggle with the decision. Before coming to this world, I had hoped to embark on an adventure and explore every mysterious island in the world. If I forced myself to become a part of the Navy, I would have to divide my time, and I wasn't sure if I could do that.

Sighing heavily, I found it difficult to make a decision about what I should do in this world.

I tried to think again about what I should do. I began to assess my current condition. Somehow, I had become a four-year-old Coby, plus a few months. I wasn't sure how it happened, but my recent bouts of hunger had left me malnourished. My body was thin, like a withered leaf that could be blown away by a strong gust of wind.

I recalled that Luffy began his journey at the age of seventeen. So, in what year would this journey begin? I racked my brain to remember, and if my memory served me right, it should start in the year 1522, although I didn't know the exact month, probably early in the year.

That meant there was still about twelve years before the main story would commence. Why did I assume it would be around twelve years? Because I saw a newspaper on the ship to check for some recent news, and it stated that the current year was 1510.

I wondered if any significant events would happen in the near future. I thought hard, trying to recall all the details of One Piece that I had read.

Come on, Coby, use your brain to remember important things that will happen in the coming years.

After thinking hard for a while, to the point where my brain felt like it would burn, I remembered a seemingly overlooked event that many people would disregard. Yes, if my memory served me right, someone would accidentally die in the next year due to an accident.

Finally, I realized what I should do in the future. There were too many regrets and sufferings in the world of One Piece, whether for the sake of the story's background or because of some evil individuals manipulating events for their own interests.

I committed myself to, at the very least, using all the abilities and knowledge I possessed to prevent tragic events from happening to the characters I knew well from my previous life.

Honestly, I realized that I didn't have much freedom in choosing due to my current limitations. I knew my actions might have unforeseen effects on future events, like the butterfly effect.

I sighed heavily. I understood that the choices I made were selfish, and I didn't know what consequences would follow. However, since I was already in this world, I didn't want to have any regrets in my life. I wanted to do whatever I believed was right.

With unwavering

determination, I began planning my steps to prevent the sad events that lay ahead. Although I realized that my actions might have unexpected consequences, I didn't want to let my knowledge and experience go to waste.

I started by finding out more about the upcoming events that I remembered would occur in about a year. I tried to recall my memories and search for clues from various available sources. Through reading newspapers, engaging in conversations with people around me, and observing the environment, I aimed to gather every useful hint.

Additionally, I delved deeper into studying the main characters in the One Piece story. I remembered the strong and inspirational heroes like Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and others. I didn't forget about the cruel and manipulative antagonists either. With this knowledge, I hoped to identify crucial moments where small actions could have a significant impact on their fates.

I realized that I couldn't do everything alone. I sought allies and friends whom I could trust to assist me in this mission. I knew that only through cooperation and support could we achieve better results. Perhaps I could seek help from the characters I knew would appear in the future or influence events by aiding characters with great potential.

However, I also recognized the limitations I would face. I was still a young child with physical and knowledge limitations. But I wouldn't let that hinder my resolve. I would seize every opportunity to learn and grow, improving my abilities as much as possible.

With the remaining time before the main story began, I prepared myself well. I trained in various skills that might be useful in the future, such as combat, navigation, and puzzle-solving. I aimed to become a resilient and wise individual, ready to face any challenges that lay ahead.

Though I felt scared and uncertain about the unknowns that awaited me, I reminded myself of my goals. I wanted to protect the people I knew from my previous life and prevent unnecessary suffering. I wanted to ensure that the One Piece story unfolded as best as possible, bringing hope and inspiration to those who followed it.

With unwavering determination and a heart filled with enthusiasm, I was ready to face the adventures that awaited me. I knew this journey would be filled with obstacles and sacrifices, but I believed that every small action I took could make a significant difference.

And with that thought, I contemplated my plan, ready to embrace the unexpected role as the guardian of fate in the world of One Piece.
