Chapter 18: The birth of a Conqueror
When Viktor woke up, he noticed he was in chains. Standing next to him was a pirate. The pirate noticed he woke up and said, " Oh, you're finally awake. I gotta tell the boss about this. Turns out the boss didn't appreciate how you and your friends killed some of his troops, so he wanted to take care of you personally. "
" And just so you know, when I mean take care of, I mean torture with extreme prejudice. It should be a lot of fun. Well, mainly for me and the boss, not so much for you, since you'll be tortured. "
The pirate then left and came back half an hour later with the captain. The captain said to Viktor with a malicious smile on his face, " So kid, you ready for this. I'm going to repay you for all the trouble you caused me. Not only did you kill my men, but you also killed my contact the matron. It's going to be even harder for me to get slaves to sell."
Viktor then exclaimed, " Wait! I thought you wanted to sell me off to recoup your losses. "
The captain said, " Yep that's the plan."
Viktor argued, " If that's the case, wouldn't it make more sense not torture me? I figure torture would make me horribly disfigured and that'll probably drop my price down."
The captain then stroked his hand across Viktor's face, " Oh sweet summer child. You don't have to worry about that. There are many forms of torture that don't leave behind physical scars, just mental scars. For example, there's the classic waterboarding tactic. Definitely one of my favorites. "
" Also, using electricity is another one. Now I know what you're thinking, wouldn't that cause horrific burns, not to mention be lethal if I make a mistake? Well, good news, I'm very experienced with it, so you'll only feel unimaginable pain, while still being in marketable condition. "
Viktor said, " That's not really what I-"
The captain interrupted, " Well, time to get the torture on. "
While the captain tortured Viktor, the rest of the crew began the torture dance from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6. All that could be heard was Viktor's screams and the captain's laughter.
After several hours of this, the captain decided to take a break and said to Viktor, who was a slobbering mess on the floor. He said, " Wow, kind of surprised you're not begging me for mercy. Who knows, maybe I've had enough torturing you."
Viktor looked at him with eyes filled with resentment and said to him in a hoarse voice filled with hatred, " If I thought begging for mercy would help, I'd have done it already. However, you're just too much of a sadistic asshole. My begging would just leave you craving more. "
The captain then laughed, " Aww, thanks for the compliment. I'm impressed, you're still disobedient after all I've done to you, it seems I've got to bring out the big guns. "
Viktor then spat at his shoes, " Do your worst!"
The captain smiled, " Our doctor has recently been testing a new drug that heightens a person's pain receptors. In some cases, people have died from the pain, but I think you'll pull through. Of course, your psyche will definitely break, and I just can't wait to see that happen. "
The captain injected the drug and started the torture process again, but the pain was much worse than before. Like the captain said, Viktor could feel himself losing his sanity. In order to keep his sanity intact, Viktor had to take drastic measures.
Viktor activated his devil fruit ability and used it to cut off all his feelings, pain included. While he had this ability active, he became like the terminator, not knowing pain or emotion, only following the prime directive, which was to survive.
He knew that while he couldn't feel it, he needed to act like he did to satisfy his captors sadism. He then screamed and begged for mercy, bringing a sadistic smile on the captain's face. This continued for the rest of the day, until the captain got tired.
The captain said," Whew, torture really takes it out of you, doesn't it? All right, we're done for the day. Rest up, because I got something really fun planned tomorrow. "
Viktor was given dinner and was left to fall asleep. Viktor deactivated his devil fruit ability, and the reality of the situation hit him. He started to sob, " Oh my god, this is my life now. I'm going to be tortured by this sadist and then sold to yet another sadist to get tortured until the day I die. "
Viktor became even more depressed, " I've managed to get a second chance at life, but it's going to end up just like my last one. I'm going to end up accomplishing nothing and die in despair. Why did I think I could amount to anything? Once a loser, always a loser. I should just end it all here, at least that way I don't have to suffer anymore. "
Viktor then laughed crazily, " Ha ha ha ha. Even if I do kill myself, will it really change anything? Ha ha ha, it seems I'm destined to suffer for all eternity, forever a loser. "
With this depressing thought, Viktor cried himself to sleep. Viktor was woken up the next morning by the captain drenching him with water.
The captain said, " Rise and shine kid. "
Viktor said, " Ugh, what, where am I?"
He then realized, " Oh right, I'm in hell."
The captain agreed, " Yep, but cheer up son, your friends are here to join you. "
Raven and Professor Jones were brought into the room, and they were doing terrible. Raven's eyes were red with all the crying she did. Professor Jones's eyes were lifeless as he was broken by all the torture.
Viktor then asked Raven, " Oh my god, you guys look terrible. "
Raven then begged, " Please Viktor, kill me. If you don't have a way out of here, please kill me."
Viktor said, " What?! You want me to kill you? Why are you asking me to do that?"
The captain interjected, " Oh, pick me, pick me. I can answer that. It's because I told her what I'm going to do to you guys, and she'd rather die than go through it. "
The captain then smiled sadistically, " But there's no way out of it. While it is true that her virginity increases her value, there is another hole we can use, and it won't devalue her. "
Viktor then gasped in horror, " You don't mean-"
The captain interrupted, " Yes, it's exactly what you think. Don't worry, you'll join her soon enough. "
All of Viktor's sadness and despair turns to rage as he tried to attack the captain, but his chains prevent him from doing so. He yelled while doing this, " Fuck You! Don't you dare do that to her! I'll kill you if you do! I'll kill you! Kill you!"
The captain then ripped Raven's clothes off and prepared to do the unspeakable. It was at this moment that Viktor snapped, and all his rage finally unlocked his Conquerors Haki.
Once he used his Conquerors Haki, everyone on the ship fainted, except for Raven. It turns out Viktors desire to keep Raven safe allowed him to subconsciously shield Raven from the effect of his Conquerors Haki. It seems Viktor is really talented when it comes to Conquerors Haki.
However, Viktor's first use of Conquerors Haki took too much out of his already tired body, and he started to fall unconscious. Before he fainted, he told Raven, " It's up to you now."
