Valerie's POV

I woke up this morning feeling better than I felt last night. I stretched out my hands and stood up from the bed and observed that a bowl of water and a hand towel were on my nightstand. Then a first aid kit and some meds were on the stool in front of my bed.

"Did Christine take care of me last night?" I asked with a furrowed brow.

I walked to the bathroom and looked at my swollen cheek. It was no longer swollen, but still had the fingerprint mark on my cheek. I signed deeply and proceeded with my bathroom business, after which I dressed up and walked out of my room.

"Good morning, Miss Valerie." I heard an unfamiliar voice, which startled me instantly.
